Is it mandatory to clear scjp for SCEA????

HI,
I wanted to know is it required to write SCJP exam first before writing SCEA.
And one more thing, I have prepared for SCJP5, now i want to go for SCJP6, will it be easy for me or is there any thing extra i need to concentrate.
Please help me out regarding this.
Thanks in advance.

Regarding SCJP 5 vs SCJP 6, there is not much difference between them. I personally have prepared for SCJP 5, than with additional two day reading on new additions on JAVA 6, Console, NavigableMap and NavigableSet and I got through.
If you are prepared for SCJP 5, then I'm confident you'll do fine in SCJP 6 as well.

  • Separate GR/IR clearing account for non material

    HI,
In the business, already an account is being used as GR/IR clearing account (WRX) for non material receipts (Non material means there is no material code exists in the system but at the time of PO a description is updated manually).
There are in all two plants and at present all the non material values are getting posted to the same GI/IR clearing account. The requirement is to have a separate GR/IR clearing account for both the plants.
Please note that its related to non material only and there is no material code hence no valuation class can be defaulted. Also if valuation class is kept "blank", the system allows only one entry of account.
Please let me know if any exist is available on this.
    Best Regards

    Hi
It can be done by defining different valuation grouping code for both the plants in OMWD. Then for the respective valuation grouping codes you can maintain different GL accounts in OBYC
    Thank You,

  • Separate GR/IR Clearing Account for Process wise.

    Hi Experts,
Can any body suggest, how to trigger separate GR/IR clearing account for process wise.
The requirement is separate GR/IR clearing account for Normal Inventory and STO Inter company.
Let WRX  trigger for Stock items and Z** for Inter company STO.

We can achieve it by using User exit.

  • GR/IR Clearing Account for Material & Asset

    Hi,
We want to maintain different GR/IR Clearing Account for Materials & Assets.
    Pls. guide.
    Regards,

    Hi
In case of asset - we define account determination in asset master which is like stock account for material. But if you use purchase order then for asset you use account assignment category as A - it means it is like account assigned purchase order. So all goods reciept credit on these POs will go to GR/IR account created without valuation class. Same time if you donot maintain service masters then goods receipt will go to same account (no valuation class). So either you need to define service materials or use same account for both.
    Thanks

  • Settings for SCE in CRM 5.0

    Hi
I am using CRM 5.0 in our environment. We have made the settings for VMC, and it is now running fine. After this what settings do I need to make for SCE. As per documentation available, RFC connections are not required for SPE, SCE or TTE.
But when I look at SPRO in middleware parameters, we have to define some parameters for the SCE. Please tell me what all are the settings required for the same.
    Cheers

    Hi Hitesh
Look at the IPC config guide. You need to make settings in TBE31, CRMCONSUM, CRMRFCPAR.

  • Reset Cleared Items - for huge number of line items

    Hi Everyone,
Is there any way where we could reset cleared items for one clearing document (cleared close to 19000 line items) aside from FBRA? Perhaps another program which can be executed in the background? We are timing out due to the sheer volume of data.
Are there any other options that we can explore?
    Thanks and regards,
    Joey

    Hi Tony,
Unfortunately, it is not an executable program in background when we do SE38. Since it has no selection screens, we cannot setup a variant as well. In FBRA, you are only allowed to hit save as soon as you confirm that you want the clearing reset. It is during this time when we hit the time out.
We have thought of this as well but asking the basis team to extend the time out session would probably be hard to get due to stringent approvals needed.
    Thanks for your advise.

    Joey

  • Zero Balance Clearing Account for New GL

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We have one unique situation for zero balance clearing account for New GL.
We have one global chart of account to which all company codes are assigned. We implemented document splitting with zero balance clearing for 1 splitting characteristics.  We defined clearing account for zero balance for the same as well.
We need to post to different account only for one company code for zero balancing while other company codes will be posting to same clearing account.  But as per me, we can only define one GL Account per Chart of Account for zero balancing.
Pls. suggest if you have any solution to this situation.
    Regards,
    Chirag

    Hi,
Do you have a business rationale for this requirement? Apparently you are using the same Chart of Accounts and hence cannot assign a different GL Account.
This account will always have zero balance at GL Account level and will not be relevant to your legal reporting. A better solution would be to use the one account that all company codes can agree upon and use.

    hi
    check following
    1. Check in OMWD, whether Valuation grouping code "0001" ia ssigned to Ur plant
    2. OBYC - If you have assigned GR/IR Clearing A/c to WRX then check whether you have maintained it with combination of valuation class and GL A/c
If yes then maintain only GL A/c w/o valuation class OR maintain one entry with valuation class empty and GL A/c
    check following
    Error in service entry sheet

    Hi,
    It is not for dunning.
The F1 text for your understanding.
    Key for Payment Grouping
    Definition
The grouping key represents a rule according to which the open items of the account are to be grouped together for payment.
    Use
The grouping key is used in cases where you do not want all the open items of a customer or a vendor to be paid together but rather you want only those items which belong together to be grouped into a single payment. A maximum of three fields from the open items are defined for every grouping key; the contents of these fields must correspond in order that the open items can be paid together.
    Examples
If you use loan management, you can define as a rule that only items with same loan number can be collected together by debit memo.

    Ravi

  • Condition type for landing and clearing charges for imports

    All SAP Gurus,
Which standard condition type to be for Condition type for landing and clearing charges for imports?
    Regards,

If both Condition types are Quantity basis then you can Create New Condition types by Referring FRA1 & FRC1 Condition types.
Else Create New Condition types called ZCCH for Clearing Charges by giving the Following inputs:
    Condition class A
    Calculation Type A
    Condition Category B
    Plus/Minus A
Also in Control data Check Accruals option and in Scales tab give Scale Value as 2 if want.
Create New Condition types called ZLNC for Landing Charges by giving the Following inputs:
    Condition class A
    Calculation Type A
    Plus/Minus A
    Uncheck Accruals options and save.

  • Automatic Clearing Rule for Customers

    Hi,
I have a query regarding Automatic clearing rules for the Customers.
I want to clear all the debit balances against all credit balances for each customer (irrespective of the assignment). The exact amounts are not matching though.
Can this be configured for Cusomers in 'Automatic Clearing Rules'?
    Please Advise.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Safi

    Hi,
You can use the transaction code F-32 to clear debit and credit items of a customer account. You can only clear open items from one account. You can use this function to clear debits and credits that balance to zero (for example, invoices and payments that have already been entered into the customer account).
Reward points if it is helpful.
    Thanks
