Did you purchase Apple Care prior to your 1 year warranty expiring?

  • Is the charger covered by warranty?

My charger stopped working yesterday for no apparent reason. Is the charger covered by the warranty? And how would I go about getting a replacement charger?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi!
Normally the charger is covered by warranty when your notebook has warranty.
Contact an ASP (authorized service provider) to get a new one.

  • Does a usb cab to 60 Watt L-Tip Power Adapter charger for Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Charger exist

    does a usb cable
does a Usb cable to60 Watt L-Tip Power Adapter charger for Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Charger exist? i have an external battery pack i would like to use to charge my iphone and macbook pro.

Not that I am aware of.  An Internet search on your part will be required.  If you should find something to that effect, note it will not be endorsed by Apple and the magnetic connector will probably be in violation of Apple patents.
    Ciao.

  • My charge plug wire has split where it joins to the adapter, is this covered on warranty or apple  care?

Where the wire comes out of the sqaure block on the adaptor plug it has split and the wire covering has torn away revealing the bare wires and will not charge unless i physically hold the wires together however the adaptor gets extremely hot. Will this be covered under warranty as it is surely a product fault? I did take the extra cover also. Thanks in advance for any help

You have to take the computer to the Apple store and have it checked out.
If this is caused by manufacturing defect, it is covered.
    Best.

  • Is my Iphone 4 charger covered under warranty through my apple care plan

Is my Iphone charger covered under warranty through my apple care plan?

It depends on the nature of the problem. If the charger is damaged because of the user, it will not be replaced for free, but if it's a manufacturer defect, then it will be replaced

  • Laptop charger appears to be working but no light

I have a HP laptop dv6-1215ee and i am having some charger trouble. My charger plugged in appears to be charging the battery and working fine, but the light right where i plug in the charger is not on. I cross checked it with my friends HP laptop charger and my laptop was working fine as well with light on and everything. It is just with my charger that the light does not come on.
I plugged my charger in his laptop and the light didnt come on.
I started my laptop without battery with my charger plugged in and it blinked twice before going off. the laptop did start working on it though. (with my friend's charger, the light stayed on without battery)
voltage problems ? should i be using the laptop on that charger ? I am out of warranty.

there are loads of people with the same problem you'd think apple would investigate what the problem is an let us all know there really **** with customer service / satisfaction. Have you tried putting it in the fridge for about ten minutes been reading alot about that on threads wouldnt do it meself now

  • HP dv5 laptop charger is overheating (150 deg F)

My dv5 laptop charger gets to 150 deg F while charging the battery.
    (1) If the battery is at all discharged, then the charger will get to 150 deg F
    (2) If the battery is fully charged, then the charger will not get hot.
It appears to me that the small charger (65W) is not able to provide enough power to charge the battery.  I believe a higher powered (95W) charger would result in no issues.  Interestingly, HP has a 95W charger available.
Has anyone tried using a different charger?
HP -- Why was the decision made to use a low power (65W) charger on this laptop?

Hi, thank you for your reply. However, I had already found the page you have linked me to, and used that to diagnose that the code the laptop is flashing is code 1. (The caps/num lock is flashing once, long pause, once, long pause, so code 1 as I understand the document)
This is why I bought a new processor and replaced the old one yesterday, but unfortunately it has not solved my laptops problem. It is still refusing to start and giving me a blank screen with leds flashing the same error code (single flash, long pause, repeat)  which is why I posted on here for help.
I really have no idea what else to try, my bf was also wondering if perhaps a fault with the motherboard could also cause this error code to flash up, perhaps tricking the hp diagnostics tool into thinking the cpu is broken when in fact its the mobo?

  • Laptop Charger 19.5v 90watt on 18.5v 65watt

    I have purchased an IGO Laptop Charger 90 Watt 19.5V 100-240VAC 50-60Hz
My Question is, will it be okay to use this charger to charge a HP Paviliong6-2368ca 65 watt 18.5V? and if I use it will it damage my laptop aswell?

    Hi,
No, I actually use 3 chargers for all my laptops (few of them use SAME chargers): 120W, 90W and 65W. I only use 65W when travelling because íts lighter.
    Regards.

i have hp pavillion dv3 2004tu , my laptop charge for 3 hour but my battery only get  27% . Does it cause by software or my AC adapter or my battery ? if cause from battery why? .... who could help me

    Hello erasmusfry,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that no charging is taking place. Before anything else, please try the steps I provided in this thread, as they will likely resolve the issue: Re: battery charging
If not, please try Testing and Calibrating the Battery. You should be able to find out if the battery has any issues.
If the battery appears to be fine, you can try to improve your battery performance. For more information on improving battery performance, please review the following document: Improving Battery Performance (Windows 8, 7, Vista).
If none of this helps, you can try purchasing a motherboard if the computer isn't in warranty. If it is, you should be able to get a replacement over HP phone support. You can utilize this website to learn how to contact HP appropriately, based on your region: Contact HP Worldwide
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, and if this helped you. Thanks for choosing the HP Forums. Have a great day!

Is my iPhone 5 charger cable covered under the AppleCare warranty? I need to know because mine no longer works and I don't want to have to pay if I don't need to for a new cable. I have heard that you can but better safe than sorry right.
Also I know that there are two size cables the regular (0.5 m) and a longer one (1 m). Does anyone know if instead of getting my broken cable of regular size if i could get the longer one. Just wondering.
    Thanks for any help

  • Is a Faulty charge port covered under iPhone 5's standard one year warranty?

Is a Faulty charge port covered under iPhone 5's standard one year warranty? As in the phone will go from charging to not charging without even moving the phone. It happens with multiple chargers as well so it is the phone.

As long as it was not covered by damages yes it is covered. Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and back up your iPhone before you go in.

  • Customer Service won't fix my charger that is under warranty?

So guys I have a dilemma with  customer service.
Sometime last year, my iPhone 4's battery started to drain fast and I went to the Apple Store Square One. The first time I went, they ordered another battery for me. Then when I went, they said they already gave it out and to come back another time. When I came back a third time, they said there was nothing wrong with my phone! So I went to Apple Store Yorkdale and they replaced the battery for me, no hassle.
Well now, I bought a Macbook Air 13" back in August (the new model). I took care of this MacBook religiously. But the cord of the charger near the MagSafe became frayed for some reason, and it completely broke so it won't charge my laptop anymore. I read reports online of chargers getting frayed (even the new ones) and customers got it replaced with no hassle. Well, Apple Store Square One said there was no way that they can replace this and then they blamed it on ME. I remember I put my iPhone 4's USB connecter into a dock on my desk and connected it to my computer and just left it there for months without touching the wire and even that became frayed (there were yellow and brown marks around the fraying on the cord).
What can I do to get my charger fixed?

The "no-hassle" replacement of chargers you speak of, is due to a recognized manufacturing/design problem with the old straight-cord version of the Magsafe charger. This "special" program is only for the old charger.
New style chargers are evaluated on a case by case basis for a determination of defect or user induced failure.
If determined to be "user induced", it was outside of, and not covered by warranty.
Your only other option would be to take the charger to another Apple Authorized Service Center, for what would be a "second opinion".
But as Kappy said, you may just have to go ahead and buy a new one, or escalate the issue.

  • Dead/bright pixels - not covered under warranty?????

I contacted hp about my brand new beats audio special edition laptop having a couple of dead pixels and was told they do not cover the lcd touchscreen under the warranty - what is that???? it is hardware and if it has a couple dead and bright pixels in the first week then what will happen over the next year? I dont have $600 to throw out every couple months for a new laptop and am very angry at this response ......

Thanks for the help , though it may be too late( not your fault at all , but the tech support) . I was contacted through pm and responded with the requested info . The problem is my return window ends Monday and I am hesitant to wait any longer after my experience yesterday. I am finding it hard to trust in hp after being told the LCD panel is not covered under warranty and then getting a email from chat support that said my issue was a bright screen and they fixed it by updating the video driver(neither one true) . To top it off I could not even respond to the email because it was sent from a unmonitored address and it said if I had any "other" issues I should go back on chat again . This is the worst customer service I have ever received.

  • Satellite C660-174 - Rattling covered by warranty?

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660-174 and it rattles in the top right hand corner near the CD drive as if something is loose.
I am wondering if i should send the laptop back to be repaired under the warranty or if there is a way to solve the problem myself?
    Thank you

    Hi Parkish,
Usually this rattling should also be covered by warranty because it seems to be a hardware malfunction and its not a software problem.
You should contact nearest authorized service provider, then you can ask for help and the guys will do everything to help you.
