what should i do?
downloading these software take so much time and i could not do any work on my pc?
i am downloading creative cloud and i have window 7. while installing cc lightroom 5 is installed but some other software are shows install option lick photoshop cc, bridge cc, edge coad cc etc.
while installing these software two screens or two windows only appear 1 is google crom and 2nd is creative cloud. i could not seen my desktop during this installation period.

I was directed to adobe to download CS4 on my new iMAC after hardware failure on PC. The valid CS4 serial number for the PC is now not recognized by Adobe, even though I downloaded all the software successfully on the new iMac.. 01otta01, please keep in mind that Arch moves fast and you get updates every day, the software you back up now will get out of date pretty fast. It's OK to use it if you want to reinstall now, but if you want to reinstall in a month or two, you should do a clean reinstall and download the new versions from the servers.
Remember you need to put your downloaded packages in CacheDir (see pacman.conf where is it located) or set up a local repo for pacman to be able to use them effectively i.e. fetching dependencies and such.

I have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard Server to Lion Server, all works well so far.
I had Snowleopard Server supplying the updates to my Snowleopard and Lion clients with no problems.
I now need to get Lion Software update server running on the Lion Server and would like to avoid having to re download all the updates from Apple
(The updates are nearly 50Gig and my ISP limit is only 100gig for the month).
How do I copy in, an rebuild the updates from my Snowleopard server backup?
I have tried but I think I ran into a permissions problem.
I'm not that experienced yet with the command Line/terminal but I'm getting there.

Not able to download all the rows to excel sheet from alv grid display

I am not able to download all the rows which are displayed in alv grid display for some material numbers.
for some materials i am able to download, i used two ways to download 1) from icon(local file) on grid 2) menu list->export.
i checked in debugging till selecting the spread sheet pop up window, i am able to see all the data in internal table.

Is it possible to not install all the software in CS6 Adobe Master Collection?
Is it possible not to install all the software available in CS6 Master Collection as my computer does not meet the requirements of one of the software which is Adobe Speedgrade?
Yes, the installer will only show the software which will install on your computer.
If you have a 32 bit system (hence no Speedgrade) then be aware that Premiere Pro and After Effects also are 64 bit only and will not install on a 32 bit system. -
I just migrate settings and software, include CC, from my PowerBook to a new Mac Pro. All the software download from CC is there and working, except for CC, and there is not way to install. I have try because every time I restar keep bothering asking for installation, (by the way, the link is not up to date). Will appreciate your help.
never migrate adobe software. it should be properly installed.

'Have followed Apple's instructions of un-installing all Apple software, and re-installing it (Ugh). First result Outlook couldn't find my 1,385 item contact file in iCloud, although the outlook distribution lists were there. Second result, upon installing iCloud again, I have two iCloud contact files shown in outlook - "iCloud" & iCloud, within iCloud". 1,332 & 1,385 contacts respectively.
Plus an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere. This is NOT fun at 72-yrs old...!!
So, how do I make sure I haven't lost anythying from Outlook? You can safely assume that I have tried using it! So, to make things a little clearer:
1) I now have two iCloud "contacts files", w/ a different total count. What's the difference? Why the different toatl count?
2) Since re-installing the Apple software (part of the MSVCR" recovery instructions) "couldn't possible affected Outlook", why am I getting an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere. What's in those files? And where are they?
Probably more important questions get down to:
3) Why is a basic Apple product upgrade "screwing-up Outlook"? This iTunes upgrade, failing to install properly forced Outlook 2007 into a 2-min start-up cycle. Which was fixed with this "Goat-Rpdeo" of re-installing MSVCR80.dll.
4) And under the latest release of iOS-7.0.4 on our iPhones, why is Apple now forcing us to use the iCloud to back-up our contacts, calendars & tasks, vs. allowing these files to be backed-up directly on our PC's via the USB cable?

I have all my music on iCloud, and it works beautifully with all my apple product. However, with my iPhone 4, the Cloud will show up but but not download any music. I have already updated all the software. Any suggestions?

If that doesn't help, launch iTunes on your computer.
From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Reset warnings and Reset cache
Click OK.
Restart your computer.
If that that doesn't help...
Moreover, when I try to go into my .mac account on the web,
Delete all apple cookies and empty your browser cache.
See if you can access your account at iCloud.com -

Trying to download iTunes 64-bit version on my new Windows 7 PC. Getting the error 'could not locate "%APPDATA%". How do I get past this error? The software doesn't install. Appreciate if someone in the forum can help.
The backup and restore from the iCloud was a little unnerving since the restore erased all information from the iPod. The iCloud backup and restore took a long time, but worked. I was very grateful.
Trying again to backup to iTunes locally proved to be the same challenging problem. The same backup to corrupt file was the message. The status bar showing backup seemed to move faster to start, but then slowed to a creep toward the end before the error.
When trying to restore a backup in iTunes, the "Restore" button is grayed out since it is looking for a local copy. Any restore would need to be from the iCloud which already worked but isn't the final solution.
Your suggestions were good, I am just in the same boat. Any thoughts about doing the following?
1) creating a cloud backup
2) resetting the iPod to factory defaults
3) removing all traces of iTunes from my computer and
4) installing iTunes and setting up iPod from scratch.
This is the next thing on my list. -

2. Are JAMPACKS still compatable with the new GB?

Do you still have your old Mac?
How did you migrate from the old Mac to the new Mac? Did you transfer your old software and documents using Setup Assistant? Then your old GarageBand '11 version should have been migrated, and all your instruments.
if you did not migrate GarageBand '11, copy your old Instruments Library and Loop Library over from the old mac. Copy the following folders to a thumbsdrive and merge the missing dontents into the corresponding folders on your new mac: (from the system library - the top level library folder on your Macintosh HD):
/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/
/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/
And if you would like to continue to use GarageBand '11 for access to missing features, copy also /Applications/GarageBand over, but to a subfolder of Applications. I recommend, to install the old GarageBand as well. It can be used in parallel to GB 10.0, and will come in handy, if your old projects are having problems.

The JamPacks are nice to have, a terrific collection of instruments and loops, but if you did not have them previously, that will not help with your missing instruments. You can instll them by buying Mainstage 3. They work well with GarageBand 10.0
