Is it necessary to have "photo stream" turned ON in ICloud?
I have been usung Mobile Me and not turned On the photo stream but rec'd a message from Apple saying I needed to activate the photo stream and Documents within the next few days. Would this mean all my photos etc would not be synced( pushed) if I don't. I am fairly new to all of this so forgive my naivety.

Thanks.Photo stream will only sync new photos (since it was turned on), not old photos. Use the old USB method to sync old photos from device to the mac.
If you HAD photos in photo stream some time ago, photos are only stored on the stream for up to 30 days, so if those have been there for some time, then they are probably deleted. -
If I have photo stream on, can I delete my photos on camera roll and still have the photos?
I Need more room on my phone. I have a lot of photos and I have photo stream on. if I delete all my photos in camera roll, will I still be able to keep the photos in photo stream? My phone is not backed up to a computer, and I don't want to risk losing the photos.

I have photo stream setup on iPhoto on my MacBook Pro and on 2 new iPhones that have the same AppleID as the MacBook Pro. However only one iPhone will stream photos to iPhoto on the MacBook Pro. All these devices were purchased in the last 2 weeks. What setting is wrong?
Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back. -
My wife and I both have the new iPhones. Is there a way to set up two separate iCloud accounts but have photo stream from both phones sync with one family mac? So, we don't want to share contacts or anything else, just photos... Thanks in advance
If you turned off Contacts wouldnt that mean that the Contacts would no longer be backed up to iCloud as well? That would make it a pain when upgrading a phone to not easily pull contacts back down.

Is there a way to not have photo stream photos save to my iphone? i have many shared photo streams hoping to not bog down my iphone space. but alas the photos are are being saved on my iphone.

Syncing notes with iCloud requires it have the correct email address linked, as notes get synced with an email address.
Now, assuming that you have successfully set that up, though most people don't first time around, then if you deleted the note from the phone, it will have deleted from iCloud as well.
Meaning, unless you have that note located in a backup in iTunes or iCloud you won't be able to get it back.
You can restore the iTunes backup simply by connecting to itunes and hitting restore backup. Only thing is, any info that changed since the backup was made will be lost. (i.e. if your backup is a month old, your phone will look like it did a month ago, and only have that info on it.)
Or, you can restore from iCloud, which requires erasing all content and settings, then selecting that backup. SO, you can see the predicament. -

I have photo stream on and took photos recently and cant find them on my computer. I tried restarting the computer but still nothing. How do I get them on photo stream?
Try the following on your MBP:
Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

iCloud.com does not have a photos tab. You would access these pictures on your computer via iPhoto, or on another iOS device.

Photo Stream is a part of iCloud that lets your devices sync photos from your ID connected devices but its not viewable from the iCloud servers (iCloud.com).
Instead it "pushes" your images taken on iOS 5.1 devices to your other devices (Mac, iPhone and others). -
