Is it normal for Firefox Mobile to refresh the Android home screen?

Firefox always causes my Android home screen to refresh every time I close out of it. Why does this happen is it normal?
Note: I have an HTC Merge.

Yes, It'll be charged to your Google account. There's no guarantee of anything. It works for my HTC EVO 4G, that's all I can tell you. You should read the reviews of this app in Play Store before you go ahead and buy it. Of course, you'll have to install as an add-on in Dolphin HD as well.

Is there an about:config command I can create for Firefox Mobile to remove the list of "Top sites?"

So it would seem that there is no add-on or feature to wipe or hide the "Top sites" list from Firefox mobile.
If there is no built in method of removing this information, could I make an entry in the about:config of the mobile platform to remove this information? I am satisfied if it is simply hidden, but would prefer if I could delete this information all together.
Any help in constructing this script would be greatly appreciated.

There is no way to change the about:home page at this time. It is something we are looking into but it will be a while before it is part of Firefox.

Firefox does not refresh the page after posting on IPS forums

I visit the forums at www.sailinganarchy.com. After replying to a post firefox does not refresh the page to show that the post is posted. But I open IE and I can see that the post is posted properly.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

Check all of your folders to see if FaceTime is in any of them.
If not, check your restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) and if restrictions are on, and you know the passcode, then FaceTime might be turned off. Turn ON to veiw icon on home screen.

Of the various LG Optimus phones, only the "Optimus Z" is compatible.
On some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.

I have a Droid a855 and would like to know if Firefox Mobile will work on this device before I download it. Will it speed up my browsing or slow it down. I have been using the original browser that came loaded on the phone and would like more features but want to maintain the speed.

Hi I've just bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace and was looking to get Firefox Mobile as my browser but have been unable to find it in the Android Market. After some digging around I found a link to an installation file on the Firefox help forum : http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/772231?s=ftp&as=s
I transfered this to my phone but still had no look installing it as this eventually displays: application not installed.
Am I just being dumb, or is there an issue with the Ace?

I am looking for the google toolbar for Firefox 8.0 because the translation it had was the best. Nothing matches it. Can anyone help me find it?

Ever since I updated Mozilla to this newer version, I have been having problems with translation options. I have tried many other translation plugins and they're just not as good (so please don't suggest them).
I use sites in various languages and write in different languages too. What's great about this translator was that you could hover over a word and in an instant it automatically detected the language and translated the word (or highlighted text). No clicks, no language selections, no shortkeys. I need something similar.

Facebook messenger for Firefox doesn't show the chat tab

I don't like the sidebar taking a chunk from my screen space, so I unchecked "show sidebar", and the only things left were a small tab on the botom right corner on the screen, which you could click to expand and show your friends, much like Facebook chat when you don't have the sidebar active. But for some reason it's gone now and I can't find how to activate it again. The chat still works, if someone talks to me their chat tab will appear even when I don't have any Facebook tabs open; just the friends list tab is gone. How do I make it return?

Hmmm, apparently it integrates in a new way. You can try using either of these menu items to turn on the sidebar:
Firefox > Options > Facebook Messenger for Firefox
Tools > Facebook Messenger for Firefox (a sub-menu appears when enabled)
Then when you turn it off again, you get the sidebar-style list in the page. That doesn't seem to last forever; it might take some time to work out exactly how the feature works with the site.

Where is the user agent string located for Firefox 4? In the previous versions, it was in the Help-About menu.

Just curious on the location of the user agent string for Firefox 4. I don't want to edit or change it, I just want to view it. In previous versions of Firefox, it was in the Help-About menu. It doesn't appear to be located in this spot for Firefox 4.

Firefox will only show the google home page or a File not Found error, no matter which site I try to go to

Ever since 3.64.4 was installed, Firefox opens in my default homepage but whenver I try to navigate anywhere else, it goes to http://www.google.fr/ (I live in France, therefore the .fr) OR it says Error 404 File not Found with the Google logo. Also the google logo shows up beside lots of my bookmarks though they are not google websites.
The same thing happens when opening in Safe Mode, and after installing the Adobe Flash 10.1 plugin.
I've used Firefox for years and never had a problem.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

How can I clear out whatever is making Firefox always start with the restore sessioin screen?

The restore session screen appears with the same website. I cleaned out my cache, updated to the latest version and it still comes up with the restore session.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
