I had uninstalled adobe flash as I had heard of security issues with it. Can I now safely reinstall it? Many utube videos will no play without it.

It's always okay. Hackers try to find ways to attack it, Adobe fixes it. Just like Apple releases patches for flaws that have been found. Just like Microsoft constantly releases security fixes for its OS and other software.
No software is perfectly and forever safe, and unlikely ever will be. The only thing you must do in respect to the Flash Player is to only ever get it directly from Adobe. Never, EVER pay attention to any third party site that pops up a message about having to update flash. Especially if it tells you to download said update from their site.

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

It is safe, although Flash is a pretty hefty pig sometimes and sometimes causes performance problems.
(I use Click2Flash Safari extension, so I only run the flash stuff when I must have it.)
Make sure you are downloading it from Adobe.
Don't respond to other website attempts to give it to you.

this is second post and first question.ive searched the forum and found a thread about lions and adobe flash(maybe there is a thread and i didnt found it)
so im asking this question.
i Usually visits sites with flash content.and i know what to do with windows.
but on mac its a different story.
is it safe to install adobe flash player or it can be dangerous? (malware,malicious software etc)
what are the precautions -except of keeping up to date- that i should take?

I just wanted to follow this up by saying that you were entirely correct in your diagnosis of the situation. My computer did have the faulty part you linked to. I brought my laptop in and specifically told them to run that test, had it fail and then argued with the person at the genius bar and the manager. Eventually they offered to have it sent out and have everything replaced for free of charge. They did so mainly because I had complained about graphical issues almost every other time I had come in with problems and no one ran the test. They should have caught this problem during my warranty, but they didn't, even though I mentioned the problem.
Anyhow, after having the part replaced, I haven't had my computer crash a single time since, or had many of the issues mentioned above. I've never had this experience before. Even brand new, I got occasional crashes. Hopefully this new trend continues.
I do find that web browsing is still incredibly slow. Web browsers just chug along at a slow pace, even though I have great internet speed. Maybe I'll try just deleting my web browsers and reinstalling them...
