Is it OK to duplicate quiz slides for the sake of allowing multiple attempts to answer the question?
I am using Captivate 4 and have several quiz slides interpersed throughout my project. The user MUST get the answer correct so I am allowing them mulitple attempts to answer the question. The problem I run into is that when the question is answered incorrectly, the user is automatically brought to the next slide and is not able to re-answer the question. How can the user re-answer the question before moving on with the content? Is it OK to duplicate the question slide?
Example:
Memorial day always falls on a:
A) Monday
B)Sunday
C)Friday
D)Saturday
If the user selects either B, C, D I want them to see feedback that says they are incorrect and to please select a different answer. Of course, if the user selects A, the correct answer, the captivate just moves on.
(NOTE: I have already added advanced actions to the multiple choice questions showing customized feedback for the incorrect answer...I just need to let the user try the question again!)
It seems like I will get into some complex branching by duplicating the slide for incorrect response...I just need to know if this is OK to do and will it work?
OR - is there a better solution

Will try to answer this afternoon. To give differentiated feedback, depending on answers, you'll need to construct your question slides instead of using the default Question slides. That means: using Text captions, interactive objects, user variables and advanced actions.

The answers questions not selectable in quiz slide for some users
We have a SCORM Captivate training content published on our LMS (SAP Learning Solutions). Some users can't respond to any questions in the content.For these users, the answers are locked and are not selectable. Also, the Validate and Erase buttons didn't appear.
The problem concerns about 10% of our users.
This training contains both content slides and quiz slides.
The content is published in SCORM 1.2 (SWF + HTML) with Adobe Captivate 5.5. We had the same problem for some users with the previous version of this training content published with Captivate 4.
All users have the same settings:
Flash Player 10.3.183.11
Internet Explorer 6
Microsoft Windows XPThe most likely reason for this behaviour is that your 10% of users have entered the quiz and then thought they might jump back to the information slides to check the answer. On doing so they have exited the quiz scope which immediately locks the quiz.
Have you actually watched these problem users complete the quiz? If you are able to do so, make sure that once they start the first question, they answer all quiz questions in turn without jumping to any other slides or leaving the quiz. If my hunch is right, the person will be able to successfully complete the quiz.
If the desire is to allow users to jump back to the content section to check information, place a scored button on the first or second slide of your project. This extends the quiz scope and will mean that the user is still within the "quiz" no matter what slide they want to look at. -
Review Quiz skips over the first quiz slide during the review.
I created a project with 2 quiz slides and a quiz results slide. When I review the quiz at the end of the project it rewinds to the first quiz slide but skips over it and then stops/pauses on the 2nd quiz slide (last slide in this case). I do not have a transition set for the quiz slides, and the "On Enter" setting is set to continue. The slide has an infinite number of attempts set for it and the Failure levels is 1. Report answers is set. I do not have the LMS reporting set up yet. I was going to use an internal server or perhaps Moodle if I can get that working.
StephenDid you remove any of the default captions from either of your quiz questions? If so, delete those quiz question slides and add new ones from scratch. Then test to see if the issue is resolved.

Using addresses, can you print duplicate mailing labels for the same address
using my address book, can I print duplicate mailing labels for the same name and address.
I checked the Address Book Print Dialog and I did not see the option to duplicate a single label.
The only thing you could try is to select the name in your list. Then do Command-P to print which should get you to this dialog box:
Try changing the # of copies and see if that does what you want. Otherwise I'm not sure and your answer may best be found in the Address Book forum on here.
You may not want to incue the expense but Microsoft Word will do what you want. -
Duplicate reminder emails for the same event
Some of my users are experiencing duplicate reminder emails for the same event. These duplicates have the same bodies, different message-id headers and posted at exactly the same time.
Has anybody seen this sort of behavior and know a fix.We had the same problem. At us I noticed the start/stop from the server went wrong. There were double processes running from the server. You should have 1 admin process, 1 notify process, 1 enpd process and (same as your cpu count) httpd processes.
When the other ones are more then 1, restart the system.
This receiving double e-mail reminder problem, you will only find at people who have AND event notifications on AND event & task reminders on! People who don't have BOTH activated, don't receive double reminders.
Also watchout that your test calendar system can't send e-mail notifications to your production users. But this you can see by reading the headers from the e-mail .. the system where it comes from is then different.

Contact Apple through iTunes Store Support, and explain that you have forgotten your 3 security questions, that you can reset your password, but doing so doesn't reset your security questions.
Remember, support will receive hundreds, if not thousands of requests per day, some from people trying it on, others with little explanation and others that are written extremely poorly. Take the time to explain your situation properly, be precise and concise, brief but comprehensive. -
I am being prompted for the questions for my apple ID. I have put what I think are the answers and it is still not letting me purchase games from my account. I try to send the answers to my e-mail and I am not getting them. I had account issues about a year ago where my id was spelled wrong. Could this be associated with that?

When trying to download an APP, it's requesting setup for answers to 3 security questions and it hangs up the iPad when clicking the drop down for the questions...any ideas?
Had to do a hard reboot on the iPad and we were able to get the questions to pop up. Now it's just slow downloading the apps.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
