Is it OK to install more than 1 version of JDeveloper ?

Hi,
I am currently using two versions of JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0 and 11.1.1.6.0 , the JDEV_USER_HOME for these two versions are set in two different directories also?
Now I have to use the Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7.0 also.
Is it advisable to install more than 1 or 2 versions in a single JDEV_USER_HOME ? Or should I give some other path for that new install also?

I have 9-10 differen versions of JDeveloper (since 9.0.3 ) working at my compute with no problem. Some of them even share one and same JDK installation.
Hint: If you are the only user of your compuer, you can start JDeveloper with command-line option -singleuser. In this way the user's JDev system directory will be created within the JDev installation directory instead of within the user's home folder:
jdeveloper.exe -singleuser
Hint: If you need two or more JDev versions to be started and run concurently, you may have to specify different ports for the integrated WLS (if you develop Web applications) and start the integrated WLS).

I'm wondering if anyone is aware of any issues that I might
encounter if I install 2 different versions of Dreamweaver on my
Mac. I'm currently running CS3 (Version 9 build 3481). But I'm
teaching a class where the students only have access to MX2004.
Some I'm thinking I should install MX2004 on my computer to avoid
any differences in what they are seeing and doing and what I am
seeing and doing. Just wondered if anyone has done something like
this and if it's OK. I'm concerned the preferences might get mixed
up between the two versions or they might conflict with each other
in some other way. Any advice or insight would be greatly

install and go for it.
On windows or mac, you can install any versions side by side
that will run
on that OS. they are unique stand alone installs.
On macintosh- you can even have them open at the same time.
The preference files are unique.
Suggest you go into CS3, dw menu-->Site-->Manage Sites
and use the Export
button to create copies of whatever site definitions you want
available in
the older version. Then in dw8-->Site-->Manage Sites
use the import button
and browse to the folder you saved the .ste files in.

Can I have more than one version of Reader on the same machine?

I'm running Reader 8 because I like the user interface better than the more recent versions. I'd like to also install the latest version only for some integrated tools that require it for use with AIR. Can I have both installed? I don't see any options when I try to download and install the latest versions (like where to install the software. Ideally I'd like Reader 8 to be my default application to open .pdf documents.

Thanks for the reply. In the meantime I have found that my integrated tools (Xilinx Document Navigator) allow me to open documents externally using any version / brand of reader. It's not quite as nice as seeing the documents in the tool's own windows, but it's a good enough option for me given the relative infrequency I use this tool. If I decide to try to integrate the Document Navigator with Adobe Reader, I might get away with using Reader 10. Is there an app note on installing more than one version, or is this so "not recommended" that I'm on my own if I want to try it?

Can I install more than one configurator profile

I want to develop 3 or maybe 4 layers of iPad iOS8 restrictions & Passcode rules.
For example ALL iPads will have enforced Passcode rules, but only SOME iPads ill require content filtering & SOME require Control centre in lock mode.
The actual working groups of iPads require a lot more complicated set of config elements - above is only an example.
I'd like to create & install different profiles & INSTALL MORE THAN ONE PROFILE.
I have tested this on a few iPads & it seems to work.
My question is - Is this the recommended way / is there a problem if i install more that one profile ?

We install many configuration profiles on each of our devices. We only use one payload per configuration profile so that we can be very granular with our configurations. What I don't know is what would happen if you installed 2 configuration profiles with conflicting restrictions (i.e. one configuration profile allows Messages, and another does not allow Messages). We just make sure we install only one restrictions configuration profile, and then a bunch of other configuration profiles (mail and calendar settings, web clips, WiFi profiles, etc) on each device.

For Windows, there is an older note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/28392">28392</a> that has some more information. It is important also that the SAP parameter PHYS_MEMSIZE is sized correctly according to note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/88416">88416</a> (the bottom of the note gives some examples). For example, if there were two central instances and the two Oracle database instances on one host, PHYS_MEMSIZE for both instance profiles (of the central instances) would be 35% of the RAM (1/2 of 70%). In the case of MSSQLSRV 2000, for PHYS_MEMSIZE you would refer to the scenarios of note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/327494">327494</a>.

I have to capture two RGB sources for identical treatment. Can I install more than on PCI1409 in one PC ? Is there a limitation of the number of cards ?

You can install multiple cards in a single computer. The main limitation is bandwidth of the PCI bus. I am not sure exactly what that limit is, but I don't think you would have any problem acquiring two RGB signals at normal rates.
If you have to process the images as you acquire them, you could run out of processing power, though.

Can you have more than one version of Premiere Elements on one computer

I have an Apple iMac 2.5GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB Memory running OSX 10.7.5. I currently have Adobe Premiere Elements 9 installed and just purchased Premiere 11. I know they changed a lot on the new version and want to make sure it performs well on this computer and want to keep the older version in case my previous projects don't mesh well with the newer version. Can I have both versions installed on this computer?

Having more than one version of PrE on a computer has never been an issue for many users. Some have had up to four installed, for testing, and for gaining familiarity with newer versions. I do not recall any having any issues, at least not any, that were posted.
While I seldom have more than one version of PrE installed, I often have several versions of Adobe Photoshop, and have never had an issue. Same with Adobe Audition, and PrPro. Most Adobe programs (Acrobat Reader is one exception) will install in totally different folders, and there are seldom confilcts.

Why more than 1 version of Photoshop?

Why do I have more than 1 version of Photoshop in my Creative Cloud desktop app? Photoshop CC + Photoshop CC (2014), see attached image.
I just found out that those are different version with different settings - bad surprise, I'll have to waste time updating the files created with the version with the wrong settings.
Why is this happening and I do I get to have only 1 Photoshop on my pc, so that I don't make mistakes again?
I already uninstalled and reinstalled through the creative Cloud app: it removed everything and then it reinstalled the 2 different versions.

Can I use more than one version of Adobe Reader on an iPad adobe Reader Touch and Reader 11.1 . . I use Acrobat XI Pro although I had some old files that were stored on adobe.com from a prior version of acrobat 9 student edition.
I guess the same question for my Surface Pro2 Computer might apply, although I gather from what I read that you shouldn't have two versions of reader on a computer.

Firefox updater unable to update with message saying ensure that I do ot have more than one version of firefox running

As I start up firefox, I'm prompted to update but it fails saying that it cannot update and that I should make sure that there is not more than one version of firefox running

It was not directly useful, although interesting. It convinced me that there was a problem in android, so I reset to factory defaults and reinstalled Aurora. Now sync is working well again. thanks

How to install more CUCCX Editor versions on the same PC?

is there a workaround to install more CUCCX Editor versions (e.g.: 4.x, 7.x, and 8.x) on the same PC?
In fact, when a CUCCX Editor is already installed, we have to uninstall it before installing another version.

I am hoping that you are trying to install Editor on some client PC, because you can not install Editor on the UCCX box, as you know that by default UCCX install has installed the Editor also.
Do not manually install the Cisco Unified CCX Editor on a server that is running Cisco Unified CCX. The Cisco Unified CCX Editor application is installed by default when you install Cisco Unified CCX and you will receive an error message if you try to reinstall it.

The orginals for those classnames stay the same, Spry will
use your defined classnames instead of using the hard coded
classes.
This only counts for the:
-tabHoverClass
-panelVisibleClass
-tabSelectedClass
-tabFocusedClass
U can just replace the classnames for all other atributes
with your desired classes.
Just remember for each new tabpanel u will have to create a
new tabpanel constructor:
var TabbedPanels1 = new

More than one version for orgunit attr

Hello all,
I want to load more than one version for ORGUNIT.
I'm able to load few hierarchy version for orgunit but only one version (the active one) for the attributes and texts of ORGUNIT .
Furthermore in my R/3 implmentation position is a part of orgunit hierarchy.
this means that position is also part of a specific version of orgunit.
But when loading POSITION into BW we can only load the active plvar so i
actually lose the information existing in other plvar for position in R3.
How can i extract and load more the one version for position and orgunit ?
