Is it Okay to Uninstall Device Central, Encore, Extension Manager and These Other Programs?

I just installed CS4 of Adobe Premiere Pro because I heard good things about the program and needed something to edit my videos together, but didn't realize it consisted of so many other programs I've never heard of. After installing it, the old computer I'm using now only has less than 200 mb left in the C:/ Drive.
Since I'm only interested in editing videos together, would it be okay to uninstall all the other Adobe programs like Device Central, Encore, Extension Manager, AIR and Color Common Settings. I'm only going to use Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator. But I'm not quite sure if I would lose something vital that will prevent me from using the programs I actually want to use.

I dont think uninstalling mentioned programs will give you much disk space.
The only thing I would uninstall is Encore.
You best option is to get a new disk, because I do not think its going to work properly. You need additional workspace on the C;drive.

  • Uninstalling Device central cs5

    Okay I just installed a couple of trials of the new adobe dreamweaver/flash/after effects cs5.5 programs and i still have old support software (extension manager cs5, device central cs5 and extended script cs5, media encoder cs5). So basically i have cs5 and cs5.5 versions of those, which is doing nothing but wasting disk space. I uninstalled the old cs5 versions already, why aren't those going with them?

  • Uninstall Device Central

    I've searched everywhere on this site and am circled back to
    the same instructions, which I follow faithfully. Yet the Adobe
    Installer (Setup.app) doesn't list Device Central in order for me
    to uninstall it. I purchased Creative Suite 3 Standard online,
    downloaded the dmgs, and performed the Easy Install. This is a
    stupid problem, but it's bugging me. Thanks for any help.

    What elements of CS 3 are available to "uninstall"?
    I agree as I don't need Device Central, Stock Photos, etc. I believe Adobe no longer supports Stock photos and a few other applications in CS3?
    Just need my PS and Bridge then I'm a happy Adobe camper!

    Does a Device Central extension exist? It would be nice to be able to update the various smart phones as they come out without having to purchase a new version of DW...

  • "Enable Access for Assistive Devices" is missing from Yosemite and my QuicKeys program depends on this to work.  Help!

    This is my second day trying to get my QuicKeys application to work in Yosemite, but "Enable Access for Assistive Devices," which QuicKeys needs to work, is missing from Yosemite.  I have gone through the entire System Preferences panel (Security and Privacy, Accessibility, Keyboard, etc.) without success - it's just not there.  I have checked this app in the Privacy pane and dragged
    "QuicKeysUserEventHelper" out of the QuicKeys Resources folder into the Applications folder so it could "appear" in the Privacy pane, and then checked it there. Is there any way to enable access for assistive devices - a Terminal command, perhaps?
    QuicKeys is my most used program, which I have had since its inception at least 10 years ago!  Help!

    Thank you for your reply!  I did everything that Startly recommended (actually, gb2), and when I dragged the QuicKeys Helper into the Privacy box. I didn't see it, but after I quit and restarted QuicKeys, it worked!  However,I had  first  dragged the QuicKeys app to the trash, emptied it, then restarted.  Next, I redownloaded QuicKeys from Startly and THEN I went to gb2's directions.  All together, my QuicKeys now works on my MacBook Air.  BUT NOW, I keep getting the warning that says that this version and activation code are already in use by another user!  I am also getting those warnings on my Mac Pro -  which had the same problem yesterday (QuicKeys not working), until I heard back from a Technical Advisor from Startly, who told me about trashing the app and redownloading from their site.  Last night, that version of QuicKeys worked WITHOUT my having to drag the QuicKeys Helper app into the Privacy pane.  Perhaps it is there, but invisible - the helper app is not visible on either of my computers' Privacy panes.
    OK, NOW WHAT DO I DO?  Every 20 seconds or so, I'm getting those annoying warning signs (on BOTH computers) and requests to put in my activation key, and then told that it is being used by another user!!!
    AM I EVER GOING TO BE ABLE TO USE MY 2 LICENSES FOR MY 2 QUICKEYS PROGRAMS???

    I have a new mac computer and want to move programs form my old mac to my new mac. How do I do that?

  • Android App - works fine in Device Central but not in phone

    Greetings!
    Just looking for some general "you might try this" tips.  I've built a very basic game app for Android so I can start learning not only how to develop for Android, but also how to publish and distribute Android apps to users.
    My game works fine when I test in Device Central from Flash.  And I've been able to upload my app to the Android Market. But when I install and run on my Android phone (I've actually tested on two separate devices), I just get a light yellow screen with a series of tiny dots that move across the screen, almost like a loading indicator, but nothing happens after that.
    I've tried publishing as both an Air (Air 2) file and a Flash (Flash 10) file.  In device central, I tested the app on a Droid Incredible emulation.  The devices I've tested on are an HTC Inspire (AT&T) and an HTC Thunderbolt (Verizon).
    So, I know there's no way for someone to take my limited description above and say "this is your problem".  Again, I'm just hoping for some general tips along the lines of "try publishing in a different version of Flash".
    Any suggestions for where I should start digging?

    Sign out of the store on your phone, then sign back in. Note having content from more than one country's store may complicate the process of updating apps and downloading past purchases.

  • Updating Devices in Device Central

    I'm using PS CS3 Extended in Windows Vista. I would like to add more devices not included in Device Central, but when I click on "Update Devices" I end up on a web page that says nothing about updating devices.  Any thoughts on this?

    Support for this only extends to current products, i.e. CS5 and is handled via Extension Manager.

    手順が不明ですが、ひとまずDevice Central単体で起動した場合はどうでしょうか？
    また、携帯端末のブラウザは詳しくないので関係性は不明（「ブラウザでプレビュー」の中にOperaがいるのかな？）ですが、Operaの初期化が出来ないと言うことであれば、Operaなど のブラウザのTempファイルの削除が有効かも知れません。

  • How do I convert from VM Fusion to Bootcamp? Do I have to uninstall everything on the Windows side and then reinstall from Bootcamp?

    I have been using VM Fusion for over a year to run a Windows-only graphics-intensive program and it just doesn't work well in the virtual environment--lots of bugs and quirks. It's been suggested that I switch to Bootcamp. Do I have to uninstall Windows 7 from the virtual machine side (and my other program) before setting up Bootcamp, or can Bootcamp find the windows installation I did through Fusion?     You need to reinstall Windows using Boot Camp Assistant. If you had a Boot Camp installation of Windows and wanted Fusion to use it there would be no problem doing so. But a Fusion installation of Windows can not be used by a Boot Camp partition.

    You are saving maybe 600 MB and Bridge is an integral part of Photoshop as is Camera RAW which is a whopping 23MB.

    I want to delete the old versions of these files, but Adobe says I need to use the installers in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers, but there are no relevant files in that folder. Any ideas on how to do this properly on a Mac.

    That is correct Dancingjewel.  Migrating/transferring/copying Adobe applications is not supported and often leads to unexpected behavior.  To resolve this you will want to attempt to completely remove the current installations utilizing the CC Cleaner Tool and then reinstall.  If you need a fresh copy of the installation files they are available at Other downloads.

  • Preview in device central not working

    Running Dreamweaver CS5 on mac and when designing the site and i click preview in device central, nothing happens, nothing loads up, it's like it just doesn't work

    I just looked in the libary folder for device central and found that there isn't anything listed in there, i'm gonna do a re-install

    I haven't had a lot of problems with my iPod or iTunes until recently, when I plug my iPod in, it is not recognized.     Okay, so I'm not the geek squad and I'm not good with computers or anything AT ALL. I've done my research, and I've found a lot of search results for this problem, but all that I have found have been recognized so the problem has been fixed for them fairly easily.

    I have a lenovo 2005-2006 in computer
    I also have windows 7- but I CANNOT update it (this may also be the problem but I need a way to work around it)
    All I know is I'm having music withdrawal.

  • Device Central won't start

    Device Central, as installed with CS3 Premium, is not running
    either standalone or from any other CS3 product. I have tested on
    two different MacBook laptops built in January 2007. When I
    double-click the application, nothing happens. If I try to run it
    from within another CS3 application, nothing happens either. I
    suspect the use of Opera’s Small‑Screen Rendering
    technology in Device Central might be conflicting with my installed
    Opera 9.2 browser. On the other machine which had Opera 9.1
    installed, uninstalling Opera did not help.
