Yes, you should be able to use Oracle 8 with JSP application developed using JDeveloper 9.0.3

How do I insert a pdf file (image) into a project as a picture-in-picture clip that will run for a specified amount of time?

I want to insert a pdf created from a ppt slide into a FCP X project that will run as a PIP for a specified amount of time. I was successful in bringing the image into the project as a clip but the default for the image is one second. When I try to change duration of the clip, I am able to enter a new time length but the actual clip doesn't change.

If I understand your qn correctly you are asking about a writing pen ?
Lets say it has parts like pen body,refill,top and cap all these items will have ''buy souricng rules''.
Based on demand for the end item ''Pen'' AsCP will explode BOM for the Pen and suggest supplies as planned orders for the components , which can be converted to Std PO or BPA release automatically. All that MRP module could be of use to you is to define Forecast demand for the item.

MRP can be configured not to run for a line item

Hi Folks,
I have a question... Scenario is like this:
We are getting a Sales Order in SAP from a Portal which is exposed to external customers. The Sales Order has say 10 line items. Usually this will kick off MRP for each of these line items right away. Now we do not want MRP to kick off as we do not know as yet the line items in there are valid or not. There is another application which will confirm if the line item is valid or not. Once it confirms if the line item is valid the MRP will run for only those items which are valid and rest of the line items will be rejected.
Question how we can stop the MRP to not to run for the for the line item once the sales order is created. Creating a Delivery block is not going to help in stopping MRP run...
Looking for some out of the box solution without any customization.

The technique used to be to send messages from your procedure to a waiting shellscript listener using DBMS_PIPE. You would write a script (could be ksh, Perl, Ruby etc) on the server with a loop in which it connects to the database and waits for DBMS_PIPE messages. When it gets one, it executes the command that was contained in the message and loops around to continue waiting again.
7.3 is really ancient though. If you're running it at all this far out of support it should really just be ticking over and not subject to new development.

Query on a transaction table breaks after running for sometime - Oracle 11g

I'm running the below query to pull the sum of amount on trans table (which has 12 years of data partitioned yearly) whose last transaction date is 19-MAY-2013. The calendardatekey column is the one which is used in place of transaction date (each day has a unique calendardatekey). The query runs for couple of hours and breaks. When I contacted DBA they told that its trying to do a full table scan and pulling huge amount of data and doing a kind of sort and then breaks. Could someone please help if there is a better approach? If it works out for one day I will have to perform this for few more days.
Oracle version - 11g

columns customerkey, programid and amount - are indexed.

"and breaks" is totally devoid of actionable information. Surely you got an actual error message (ora-nnnnn) that you could share with us?
Sounds like your DBA is trying to avoid providing any assistance .....

For Oracle : When will Oracle's JDBC Driver work for Date ?

I try to develop an application that will run on every database.
The only Database I have a problem with is Oracle because of date : I can't use executeQuery or executeUpdate with sql request that use a date field as a parameter.
And this stupid issue is only due to Oracles's non conformity to JDBC Standard.
I know that I can use preparedStatements and that it works, but It's not an issue : This is a minor bug that would be easy to correct so DO IT !
I also know that tit works with SQLJ, but I use Thin client.
I tried to change NLS_DATE_FORMAT, but with timestamp, time format got millisconds and Oracle don't like it ...
No, really, it's a long known bug.

I appreciate the confidence in SQLJ, but since SQLJ runs atop JDBC I would be very surprised if you did not encounter the same issue you are troubled with.
Unfortunately -not already knowing what your problem is- I do not quite understand what you are trying to point out here. Could you give us some code snippets and the expected versus actual behavior, so that we can understand and reproduce your problem? Or, if it is a known issue, would you have a bug assignment for it?

I NEED to use icloud mail on both iPhone 4s AND my PC. I need to use both.
Trying to use icloud mail on PC is mega glitchy (STOP SCRIPT WARNINGS EVERY FEW MINUTES) and frustrating because:
1. my PC is ancient (but nicely refurbished/fast)
2. I run XP (with both Firefox and Chrome- newest versions)
3. thusly, I DO NOT MEET SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS for iCloud.
In my passed attempts I found that
1. Yahoo doesn't work well on iPhone
2. Gmail doesnt work well on iPhone.
I must be missing something... an app or... maybe a donated/ NEW FREE MAC! (That would be sweet! Ha.)
Is there an email platform that will run well on both XP and iPhone?

@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.
I didn't have the exact same problem as you, but my dilemma was close enough. Good luck!

That's definitely strange, kzmidge. I want a working phone in your hands though. I noticed you mentioned you received the suggestion to complete a reset. Did you already do that? Is it working again? Are you receiving an error message?
If you hesitated a little longer to complete the reset, you can try to place your phone into Safe Mode http://vz.to/rxg0ii and see if you can access mobile sites from your browser. This mode will stop 3rd party applications from running, so you won't be able to use the apps you mentioned but we may be able to narrow down the trouble in Safe Mode. If the mobile sites work, that means the trouble may be in a recently downloaded application and you may be able to avoid the reset my uninstalling some of your more recently installed applications. If it's still giving you trouble, the reset http://vz.to/18wzOCi is the next best step.
