Is it possible at all to have DB on separate serer in SAPB1

I think the answer is no as SAPB1 is not three tier architecture like R/3, however, I want to confirm it again.
SO the question is, is it possible to have MS SQL DB on a separate server than the one on which SAP B1 Server is installed? This question came from a prospect.

ofcoure you can maintain the Database server on seprate machine.even you can mainatin multiple database server on a single license server in SAP business one 8.8.

You could try Paragon HFS+ for Windows. That would allow you to read and write files from a Mac-formatted drive.

Thats not possible I'm afraid, only the Apple TV can receive an AirPlay stream, and even then only one at a time, unless you stream from a computer.

Have you updated your video card driver from the GPU maker's website?
The drivers that shipped with Win 8 are pretty out of date (and buggy).

Do I understand correctly that you have a printed PDF and want to get it back on your computer as a PDF file? If so, you could scan that document, save it as an image file, then use Acrobat or Adobe PDF Pack to convert the scanned file to PDF. Some scanning software saves directly to PDF, and if you don't have a scanner, I'm sure you could have it done at a local copy shop.

Is it possible AT ALL to make fglrx work with the ATI RV505?!

I have an ATI X1550 graphics card based on the chipset in the topic subject... I wish my PC wasn't half-height, so I could go get a real graphics card.... but I have what I have for now, and I guess I should settle for it.
So, the problem in question is this: is it possible -AT ALL- to make fglrx make my ATI card "go", and...
* Work with OpenGL and not hang when OpenGL output is, more or less, "on".
* Not epically fail with Compiz Fusion running, and #1 not draw my background, #2 not update the screen unless I switch workspaces and #3 not hand anything related to graphics updating to my CPU, rendering EVERYTHING at about 1 frame every 2 seconds.
I don't have that card in my computer right now and probably won't for a while (unless someone can say "do XYZ, I have like exactly that card and it worked"), since despite only being 64MB my integrated graphics from Intel pwn the X1550 (which has 256MB, sigh) to bits in terms of hardware acceleration. Despite my Intel graphics (Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 01)) not even having direct rendering (libGL error: dlopen /usr/lib/dri/i915_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/dri/i915_dri.so: undefined symbol: _glapi_tls_Context)).

If you're talking about streaming video and the video stalls on you, you just have to wait until the video loads enough in the cache before you start playing it or it will continue to stall on you. If you do not have a very fast Internet download speed, there's not a whole lot you can do about it other than to let the video finish loading before you start the playback.

Is it possible that Verizon could have screwed things up more than this?

I contacted Verizon 10 days ago about internet and cell phone service the person I spoke with told me that Verizon did not offer internet in Illinois and I should call something called Frontier Communications
I should have taken this as a sign that I shouldn't do business with Verizon
Instead I went to your office on State street in Chicago. I was told that
Verizon does in fact have internet, they have an arrangement with ComCast. I was told
if I signed a 2 year contract, the first 6 months would be $20 a month and then the price
would be $40 a month for rest of the contract.
I signed up and was given an account number and a number to call ComCast
When I spoke to Comcast, I was told that there was no agreement with Verizon
I went back to Verizon, Verizon called Comcast. Now Comcast was saying there was a agreement but the terms were different
It was now $20 a month for 6 months, but no contract. After 6 months there was no guarantee what could happen
to the price. There could be another promotion, it could go up
I agreed reluctantly and signed up
The earliest appointment was the following Monday.
I had to leave work early for the appointment. I won't get paid for this missed time
I was given a time frame for when the ComCast Technician would show up. He was late; he arrived after the timeframe
I had ordered wireless internet. I know I ordered wireless because I discussed this with the comcast rep when I placed the order
We talked about how many devices could use the wireless at the same time, how far I could be from the router, whether there was a separate router and modem or if it was one unit, if I could buy my own rather than rent it, etc.
The technician did not have wireless equipment with him. He said the order didn't indicate that it was wireless.
I asked if he could install what he had since I had been waiting almost a week for the internet and then I could go to their office to swap it
He said no, a technician had to install it. If he installed what he had and they sent out another technician later with a wirelss router
they would charge me a second installation charge
The worst part though, is the earliest they can have someone back out is Wednesday ,ten more days later
That means almost three weeks with no internet at home and I have to take off from work again and lose more pay to wait for the technician again
I do computer support. I'm on call for work. If I get called out at night and don't have internet, I have to go downtown in the middle of the night

I understand that you are frustrated with the yes/no/yes regarding internet through Verizon. I am assuming you are referring to DSL or fiber optic internet with Wi-Fi, since you state the internet service is actually provided by Comcast. That is as far as my understanding goes. Your post is titled "Is it possible that Verizon could have screwed things up more than this," but the rest of your complaints (please understand I do not argue the validity of your anger or frustration) are, in fact, regarding services rendered (or not) by Comcast.
I used to have a bundle with Centurylink internet, Directv satellite, and Verizon Wireless. I got a separate bill from Verizon but I got a discount for the Centurylink and Directv bill by linking my cell phone numbers and creating a "triple play." Centurylink had ridiculous scheduling issues with their techs, and it took five calls and two weeks to actually get the internet hooked up, at 1.5 mbps as the lines couldn't accommodate the 10 mbps the rep offered. I was upset with Centurylink, not Verizon. I had upgraded my cell phones through Centurylink, but if/when I had any issues, I called Verizon.
The issues you are describing are not within Verizon's control, which should have been clear when you had to speak with Comcast to set up the account and order. You need to call Comcast to resolve it, and the sooner the better. I had a horrible time trying to recoup money I paid to Directv after breaking the bundle, and eventually Centurylink refunded my money since the were the ones refusing to release my payments to Directv, saying I had a bundle but they could not discuss billing for Directv service. Almost all companies have a window for refunds and billing disputes, and Centturylink gave me the runaround until I demanded escalation. Once the dispute period is over you don't have a leg to stand on for credits or anything else. I had to get noisy to get results, and you might have to as well.
Step one is calling Comcast and placing the blame where it belongs, then work toward a solution to rectify the lost time and frustration.

I would say as a buyer of the Standard version under these conditions of product description it is normal to believe that two of the most basic "standards" are in the "Standard" version included PDF/X and PDF/A, otherwise Adobe would Asterix and footnote it at least or be more explicit and not mention it as Improvement a.s.f. Another interpretation would be to get the buyer first buying without very explict information the Standard version and then making him over days of trial and questions in a forum where people have also similar problems: Aha!! it is not included. "Upgarde it! and pay us more!"

Read the Database view VSEOIMPLEM with where condition REFCLSNAME = Interface Name and version = 1.
This would give you all the classes which have implemented the interface and are active...
If you want to look at the values that the field version can have then see Type Group SEOC ans search for version....

Is it possible in IOS to have two static routes for the same subnet, one a higher priority and "failover" between the 2?

Is it possible in IOS to have for a particular subnet:
a) Two static routes?
b) Make one static route a higher priority than the other?
c) If one static router "goes down", failover to the lower priority static route?
We have a l2tp/vpdn connection to a supplier which can be accessed via two vlans/routes. I would like to make one route the preferred one but the "route" to failover if the preferred route goes down.

If you notice the Administrative Distance for the secondary route pointing to ISP2 is increased to 10 so that it becomes the backup link.
The above configuration with just two floating static routes partially accomplishes our requirement as it will work only in the scenario where the routers interfaces connected to the WAN link are in up/down or down/down status. But in a lot of situations we see that even though the links remain up but we are not able to reach the gateway, this usually happens when the issue is at the ISP side.
In such scenarios, IP SLAs becomes an engineer's best friend. With around six additional IOS commands we can have a more reliable automatic failover environment.
Using IP SLA the Cisco IOS gets the ability to use Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) pings to identify when a WAN link goes down at the remote end and hence allows the initiation of a backup connection from an alternative port. The Reliable Static Routing Backup using Object Tracking feature can ensure reliable backup in the case of several catastrophic events, such as Internet circuit failure or peer device failure.
IP SLA is configured to ping a target, such as a publicly routable IP address or a target inside the corporate network or your next-hop IP on the ISP's router. The pings are routed from the primary interface only. Following a sample configuration of IP SLA to generate icmp ping targeted at the ISP1s next-hop IP.
R1(config)# ip sla 1
R1(config)# icmp-echo 2.2.2.2 source-interface FastEthernet0/0
R1(config)# timeout 1000
R1(config)# threshold 2
R1(config)# frequency 3
R1(config)# ip sla schedule 1 life forever start-time now
The above configuration defines and starts an IP SLA probe.
The ICMP Echo probe sends an ICMP Echo packet to next-hop IP 2.2.2.2 every 3 seconds, as defined by the “frequency” parameter.
Timeout sets the amount of time (in milliseconds) for which the Cisco IOS IP SLAs operation waits for a response from its request packet.
Threshold sets the rising threshold that generates a reaction event and stores history information for the Cisco IOS IP SLAs operation.
After defining the IP SLA operation our next step is to define an object that tracks the SLA probe. This can be accomplished by using the IOS Track Object as shown below:
R1(config)# track 1 ip sla 1 reachability
The above command will track the state of the IP SLA operation. If there are no ping responses from the next-hop IP the track will go down and it will come up when the ip sla operation starts receiving ping response.
To verify the track status use the use the “show track” command as shown below:
R1# show track

Reachability is Down
1 change, last change 00:03:19
Latest operation return code: Unknown
The above output shows that the track status is down. Every IP SLAs operation maintains an operation return-code value. This return code is interpreted by the tracking process. The return code may return OK, OverThreshold, and several other return codes.
Different operations may have different return-code values, so only values common to all operation types are used. The below table shows the track states as per the IP SLA return code.

The Last step in the IP SLA Reliable Static Route configuration is to add the “track” statement to the default routes pointing to the ISP routers as shown below:

The track number keyword and argument combination specifies that the static route will be installed only if the state of the configured track object is up. Hence if the track status is down the secondary route will be used to forward all the traffic.
