I had one game permanently just stop working, it usually does crash, but that last time it just went bad, I don't know the reason, I tried powering off iPod, relaunching game, but the game never worked again. I think it corrupted its own save file or some of its own data.
Have you tried another game or app, do those work? If they do, then I guess you know where the problem lies, but if they all stop working, then what about apps, can apps launch?
Lastly, apps from the app store are checked by Apple, so they are clean.

Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
    Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.
Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order.

  • Why can't I edit photos that I saved from the internet?

I'm completely new to this, so dumb it down as much as is possible. I am working on setting up a webpage and have had to manually go into the client's old web page and save any images on there. Now when I open them up in photoshop, it won't let me edit them, for some reason or another.
I can't cut them out of a background, change the colors, add text or do anything to change the layer. All the layers are locked!!!
Am I missing something? Do I need to save it as a certain file type? It keeps telling me to rasterize it, but 1. I don't know what that is and 2. when I go to Layer>Rasterize, it doesn't work anyway.
Skip the part where you make fun of me because I'm sure this is a real dummy mistake, and just get to the part where you tell me how to fix it!
    I'm working with CS4 versions.
    Thanks!

What file-format and color-mode are those images?

  • My new iPod Touch 5g gets hung up when updating apps.

The blue installation line freezes when complete and a duplicate app then appears. Solution?

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • I synched my sons new ipod touch to my computer.  It downloaded all of my photos onto his device.  There is no delete button on them... how do I get them off?

I synched my son's new IPOD touch up to my computer and it downloaded all of my photos app. 4000 of them to his Ipod.  When you open one, there is no delete button.  How do I get them off of his device?  Thanks

re-connect to your computer  - If you have a Mac Make him, his own user account then he only has his stuff on it. If not then select the Photos tab when you are in iTunes and have his iPod selected on the left side.  At this point you then de-select the photos.
I am guessing that these are your photos and not ones that he wants.  You can only delete photos on the iPod that where originaly taken on the iPod.

  • Firefox crashes everytime I close a tab; the internet said it was a Norton Antivirus issue, but I contacted Norton and they are not the issue.

Every time I close a tab, Firefox crashes. These forums hinted that it was a Norton issue (and that it had been solved) so I contacted Norton. Spent 2 hrs on support with them, including them remotely controlling my computer. Norton is 100% updated, and the crashes happened EVEN WHEN WE DISABLED NORTON. So, it is NOT a Norton issue. What can I do? This is very frustrating and makes it impossible to continue to use Firefox.

hello, these crashes are the same norton issue that was written about in the forums during the last few weeks (the norton component coffplgn.dll is causing the crashes) - according to symantec the cause fro the crashes wasn't fixed in its 2012 product line: https://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Toolbar-Norton-Identity/Firefox-18-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/m-p/900991/highlight/true#M8266
so you might want to disable all norton addons in firefox > addons > extensions or upgrade to norton 2013...

  • When saving files from the internet, why doesn't Firefox 'know' to put .jpg files in "Photos" and pdf files in "Documents"?

When saving files from the internet, why doesn't Firefox 'know' to put .jpg files in "Photos" and pdf files in "Documents"? IE always saved photos in the "Photos" file and documents in the "Documents" file. Firefox makes me choose every time. Very annoying.

How about if Firefox is programmed like IE in this ONE thing...
When saving files from internet sources, if the file ends in a typical photo extension such as .jpg, .bmp, .tif etc. it defaults to save it in your PHOTOS folder.
When saving anything like a .doc, .pdf etc. it defaults to save it to your DOCUMENTS.
You could still change it to 'desktop' if that if really where you want all your photos and documents... or some other folder that you decide, but DEFAULTS to the LOGICAL folder.
I have carpal tunnel SO bad that even typing this suggestion is painful and having to make the extra click along with moving the mouse EVERY time I want to save something is painful.
ALSO, I shouldn't need a bunch of ADDONS to accomplish this. I tried downloading one and it did nothing. The problem still exists.

  • I have a new computer. I've installed iTunes. I don't want to lose the calendar and contact data nor the apps currently on my iPod Touch. Will that happen when I sync?

I have a new computer. I've installed iTunes. I don't want to lose the calendar and contact data nor the apps currently on my iPod Touch. Will that happen when I sync?

I don't think so. When you open iTunes, go to "Store" on the top and click "Authorize this Computer." Type in your email and pass, and click authorize. Then, when you connect you iPod for the first time, it should tell you "this iPod is synced with another computer, blah blah." It should give you the option to either "Erase and Sync," or "Transfer Purchases." Click "Transfer Purchases and your content should go into your new iTunes.
If this doesn't work and you still have your old computer there's another thing you can do. I know this works on windows, but I'm not sure how to do it on a Mac, maybe someone can offer some help. Assuming you have Windows, go to Start>Music>iTunes Media and you should see Music, Apps, Movies, etc. This is all the stuff in your iTunes. If you have an external hard drive or your iTunes library is small in terms of file size, you can do this in one go. Transfer the content (as much as you can fit at one time) onto the external storage. Then, put that content on your new computer on the desktop or somewhere where you can find it again. Open iTunes, and folder by folder highlight everything in the folder and drag it into the iTunes library. It should say "importing (content)" or something and then it should be in your library. If you look in your Music folder again, there should now be another "iTunes" folder there with all of your content back in it.
Hope one if these options works for you. Best of luck!

If you have the first gen ipod touch as your information shows, then you would have to buy a software update:

If after you charge it for about three hours and it only last about five minutes the battery is probably dead or there could be another hardware problem.  I would go back to the Apple store and ask them specifically how can it be OK if the fully charged battery only lasts five minutes.

  • My new iPod touch is getting really warm while I use it. Is it normal? I mean, I have silicone cover, maybe it's the reason for iPod being so HOT?... How do you think, is it too important to have a cover on the iPod? How about screen protector? :S

  • Is there. A trick for resizing pictures saved from the web as wallpaper?

I'm use to using pictures taken from my iPhone n ipad as wallpaper, and I can take a picture of my iPad screen.
When I try to use the web saved pictures they appear too big for my wallpaper.
Even the pinch and move doesn't seem to allow me to get it small enough.

You may also want to bear in mind, many photo off the internet are tiny, as in smaller than your iPad screen.
If your iPad's resolution is 1024 x 768 (which is the resolution of an iPad 2) and you download some image from the net that's 400 x 300 pixels, it's gonna zoom in and it's not going to look great because another part of the whole resolution thing is pixels per inch. You get an internet photo with 72 pixels per inch and try to put them on an iPad that wants to show a couple hundred pixels per inch it will be fuzzy and not pretty.
The iPad's programming tells it that all the screen must be covered, so it zooms in to make the horizontal or vertical edges touch, which often leaves you only the ability to move your photos up and down or left to right.
Basically, even with the various apps and such, they can only do so much. Give them an image with not much to work with and the results likely won't be as good as if when you give them a high resolution image.
If you have a computer you can look at your images there and see their size. Right click on them and check their properties and it gives you the numbers. If you do work with the apps and the results aren't what you hoped, this can be a way to determine if it's the apps' fault or the material you're giving it to work with.
