Is it possible for Apple to unlock my iPhone?
My iPhone apparently has a SimLock for Vodafone Germany. My two years of contracet with Vodafone Germany (required minimum time to be able to get it unlocked from Vodafone) are over.
Now my problem is as I had my iPhone swaped at the AppleStore so Vodafone can not unlock my iPhone because it is not an IMEI that they have in their systhem. Apple tells me that I have to talk to Vodafone. Now what Vodafone suggested is that they send me a certificat saying that I can have my iPhone unlocked and that I go do it at the AppleStore if that is possible. So that is actually my question: is it possible for me to get y iPhone unlocked at the AppleStore with the certificat from Vodafone?

Apple cannot unlock your iPhone via any "certificate". The only way it works is that the carrier generates an electronic unlock authorization which goes though Apple's automated process to get sent to iTunes on your computer. Sorry, but Vodaphone will have to figure out the IMEI issue on their end, and if they can't, then you probably will not be able to get your iPhone unlocked.

The carrier unlocks the phones... once the carrier officially unlocks they send an email to apple... Apple's database picks up this info from the imei number... it's all done computerized. Apple has nothing to do with unlocking whatsoever!
The contract is between the customer and the carrier. It would be illegal for apple to unlock a phone considering Apple is not a part of any contract!
Apple is a manufactor and support for their products... not a carrier!
Carriers push this crap on Apple when they know good and well they are the ones who unlock! Customers can call Apple to see if it's unlocked, but it's a database... they have no way of unlocking or locking phones! -

A no-contract sales price does not mean unlocked.
Apple is now selling an officially unlocked iPhone in the U.S. which has nothing whatsoever to do with AT&T unlocking iPhones. It is up to the carrier and the carrier only to officially unlock an iPhone that was sold as carrier locked with the carrier - in this case sold as carrier locked with AT&T. This may change one day, but at the present time AT&T does not unlock an iPhone for any reason or under any circumstances. -

DJ1970, Unfortunately no. iTunes does not have the key in the database.
People who want to know the key of a song can use (unless they already have perfect pitch!) key detection software such as Mixmeister.
Once you know the key, iTunes does not even have a field to store it, although you could stick it into Comments or some other unused text field such as Grouping. These fields are indeed viewable in iTunes. -

The OS version makes no difference to a carrier unlock. 3 do unlock their handsets but you will need to contact them to check the terms they will do it on.

Apple have designed the iPod deliberately so that the transfer of music is by default one way from iTunes to iPod. The most likely reason is to discourage the use of the iPod for widespread music file sharing. This is a logical step for such a high profile company to take in the current environment. It's especially relevant considering that Apple has to work closely with the music companies to maintain the iTunes Music Store. -

Is it possible for apple headquarters to add battery percentage to iPod touch for the new update? It would be a lot easier to see the percentage and so the iPod wouldn't die randomly when it's 20% or lower
All the people here do not really know because all are just users like you, not from Apple
but ...
there are some apps you can download that monitor the battery percentage more accurately. Some are more reliable than others so you might have to do some research but this could be an option for you -
