Is it possible in calculate this in BEx.......

Hi Guys,
This is a bit of a strange requirement but a requirement nonetheless, and im curious to know if it can be done without an ABAP person being involved.
The scenario:
We have a BW Query that is reporting data on a Project level.
Say for example this is made up quite simply of Project 1,2 and 3.
Within each of these projects there are sub-projects for example (1.1, 1.2) (2.1,2.2) and (3.1, 3.2)
The requirement is to sum the sub-projects together in the query and im not sure this can be done.
So to make things clearer in this example we would be addind the first subprojects of each of the projects and the total we are looking for would be ( 1.1 + 2.1 + 3.1 ) and then the next total we are looking for is ( 1.2 + 2.2 + 3.2) etc etc
And if a new project were to be introduced for example Proj 4 and a sub project then the first total above would pick up 4.1 in its total
Please advice is its possible.It cant happen in the workbook it needs to happen in the query.

Hi,
Yes, we wrote a routine to populate that indicator field in the transfer rules.
In your case, it will be very simple IF ELSE statement. The logic would be something like below.
If project = 1.1 or 2.1 or 3.1 etc (or may be *.1)
indicator1 = 1
else
if project = *.2
indicator2 = 2
endif.
Then use these indicator fields in the query design to have sub totals on them. I hope you are getting my point.
