Is it possible Oracle IAM 11g with IAS

In Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM) 11g, Weblogic is the only supported application server?
What is the direction of oracle corp for Oracle Internet Application Server IAS then?
Is it possible Oracle IAM 11g with Oracle IAS as we have only experts in Oracle IAS application server.

See Re: Can Oracle IAS be the application server with Oracle IAM 11g ?

  • Oracle IAM integration with GRC 10

    Hi All,
Our client is using Oracle IAM for user provisioning process. Now they have SAP GRC being implemented for two of their SAP systems. Now client wants to integrate SAP GRC Access Risks analysis (ARA) for SOD analysis and User Access Management(UAM) for user provisioning modules of SAP GRC 10 with Oracle IAM.
As far as i know, webservices needs to be activated in GRC 10 and has done that. Now i want to know how Oracle IAM communicates with GRC 10. How connectors needs to be developed, User account to be created for web service access and how the parameters are passed from oracle to grc.
Also how many different scenarios are there in oracle IAM for this integration?
In SAP IDM vs SAP GRC integration we have 2 scenarios.
    1. Request raised in IDM -> SOD analysis in GRC -> Provisioning in GRC -> Return success/failure status back to IDM
    2. Request raised in IDM -> SOD analysis in GRC -> Return SOD success/failure status back to IDM -> Provisioning in IDM
So can anyone help with possible scenarios for this integration process??

    Hi vikas and Frank,
Do you have any information related on How to enable the webservices in the GRC 10 (does NWBC holds the key). if you have any information related to it  please share it with me.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Oracle 10G/11G with JBuilder

    Hi Gurus,
I am new bie in the Java development world. I am looking for purchasing a laptop on which I can install Oracle (either 10G or 11G does not matter) and JBuilder as the project on which I am going to work on uses JBuilder tool.
    I have two questions
    1) Is Windows 8 comptaible with Oracle 10G or 11G ?
    2) Also can I install JBuilder on a Windows 8 Laptop ?
    Regards
    Fm

Thanks Timo for getting back to me so promptly. I do understand that this forum is not for JBuilder as Oracle uses JDeveloper to do the same stuff.
But can u specifically answer my question
    1) Is Windows 8 compatible with Oracle 10G/ 11G ?
    2) Assuming if its not yet compatible with Oracle 11G. Can we safely install JBuilder on Windows 7 and use it with Oracle 10G.
Please advise. I value advise from experts like you.

  • Using Oracle EM 11g with Active Data Guard 11g

Has anyone installed Active Data Guard 11g with OEM 11g for an active-active state or know if there are any installation procedures with these two products? We will be installing these products this year. Thanks, Cathy

If you already have both servers configured in Grid Control as targets, it should be fairly easy to create a standby database on server B. OEM has Availability tab on your primary database Instance section should have "Data Guard" section which has "Setup and Manage" option. You follow through the wizard, and it will generate a standby database on server B. Then you can convert your standby db on server B to Active Read-only database by clicking few more buttons.
If you do not have these two servers configured on your Grid Control, that would be the first task.
We set up three standby databases using Grid Control 11g in our test boxes, and they worked very well. Our biggest problem was to actually installing the Grid Control, but once installed, everything was easy.

  • Integrating Oracle DB 11g with SharePoint 2010

    Hi,
Here is my server infrastructure :
Server1: Oracle Database Server Enterprise Edition (11.2.0.1.0) 32bit version installed on Windows Server 2008 SP1 32bit
    Server2: WebLogic server 11g (10.3.5) and Forms 11g (11.1.2.0.0) 32bit version installed on Windows Server 2008 SP1 32bit
    Server3: MS SQL Server 2008 64bit & MS SharePoint 2010 installed on Windows Server 2008 SP1 64bit
I need to now develop a UI integrated in SharePoint(Server3) that will perform CRUD operations on the Oracle DB (Server1).
Do I need to install Oracle Access Manager (OAM) or use Business Connectivity Services or anything else to talk to Oracle DB?
Is the 32bit DB compatible with 64bit SharePoint? If yes, can I use 32bit OAM with SharePoint?
Is Oracle Identity Management required? Do I need to install Weblogic Server and SOA on the DB server?
Can someone please help me with the next steps? How should the infrastructue change? Please also suggest on the 32/64bit versions as well.
Oracle support team asked me to check with the SharePoint team.

I am not sure about 32 bit, Because SharePoint 2010 is only 64bit.
Another thing is you have to install the Oracle Client on all sharepoint server in order to connect the Oracle.

I want to figure which is the best choice so please help me
    BR,

    Hi,
Yes Oracle forms and reports 11g needs weblogic to be installed first which creates a Middleware home .
Under that Middleware home you have to create a Forms & Reports home where in the respective binaries are installed.
    Thanks,

  • Integrating Oracle Forms 11g with JavaScript - keystrokes support issues

    This article
    http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/forms/11g/jsinteg/formsjsinteg/setup.htm
shows the JavasriptIntegration with Oracle Forms.
I am trying to navigate out of Oracle Forms Java Applet with separateFrame=false to access an external menu using JavaScript. I can't find a way to navigate out of Oracle Forms. My focus stays inside the currently opened form and the applet does not lose the focus.
I need to access any external UI component by shifting the focus form the Java Applet to that components using only key strokes.
    Thanks for your help

    Vikas,
Sorry for the delay. I am still investigating this. In general, it would appear as I mentioned. If the form that contains the code specific to the event monitoring has not been run, then it cannot be executed. We are trying to get clarification on the definition of "scope" in this case. In the mean time, one alternative might be to subclass the related triggers/pu and include them in all of the forms where you want them to fire. Currently I am suspecting that scope refers to a relationship to forms currently running. For example if you have form A, B, and C running a scope of "form" might suggest that the events are only monitored if the current form includes the necessary code. However, if "application" then even if the form containing the necessary code is not the current form, the necessary code would fire anyway. Again, I am trying to get more clarification, but it is slow coming.
If this is truely an urgent issue, I encourage you to create a Service Request with Oracle Support.

  • How can Oracle Portal 11g improve ROI for a utility company

I want to prepare a presentation regarding Oracle Portal 11g for a group of senior management in my company which sells electricity for commercial building. So i need to know from where i can find related papers that gives some practical examples for how implementing an Oracle Portal 11g can reduce operational costs and can improve ROI over time. So that if the company buy Oracle Portal 11g which costs for example X dollars then the company can cover this cost from reducing the operational costs in few years.
Appreciate a lot any help and support.
    Best Regards
    John.

The supported way to install Oracle Portal is available in Note [url https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocContentDisplay?id=1436807.1]1436807.1, 'How to Perform a New Installation of Oracle Portal 11g With Oracle Access Management 11g as Single Sign-On Solution ?'.
A few remarks about this note :
<li>The note mentions FMW 11.1.1.6 - FMW 11.1.1.7 is out already and should be used instead
<li> The note mentions OAM 11.1.1.5 - use OAM 11.1.2 instead as it will allow you to consume a future patch for DAS support

  • Oracle Database 11g Installation Issue: ORA-12560:TNS: protocol adapter error.

    Folks,
Hello. Initially, my Windows XP host name is "localhost" and IP address 127.0.0.1.
I installed Oracle Database 11g with Windows XP successfully and all Database clients work with Database instance correctly.
For some reasons, I uninstalled the entire Database Server and delete the entire installation directory /oracle.
I configured Windows XP IP address into 192.168.196.101 in order to ping other machines.
For my need, I installed Oracle Database 11g with Windows XP again. On step 7 of 8: Oracle Database Configuration Assistant, I got this error:
    ORA-12560:TNS: protocol adapter error.
I click "Password Management" button, there are no rows in this Windows (no username, no lock accounts).
    I check listener as below:
    C:\>lsnrctl
    LSNRCTL>start
Its output: listener name LISTENER has already been started.
    LSNRCTL>status
Its output: ......Service DB1 has 1 instance. Instance DB1 status ready. The command completed successfully.
I check \Oracle\cfgtoollogs\dbca\DB1\trace file, the entry is :
    listen[0]=LISTENER address=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=localhost)(port=1522))
I also check \oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\SAMPLE\tnsnames.ora file and listener.ora file, the entries are the same as below
    HOST=localhost  port=1522
I think HOST=localhost and port=1522 is the cause of the error ORA-12560 because Windows XP has been configured into HOST=192.168.196.101.
But I don't understand how to solve this issue.
Can any folk tell me how to solve this issue ? need to cancel the installation on step 7 of 8 and install it again ?
    Thanks.

    Folks,
Hello. Oracle Database 11g Installation Wizard is on step 7 of 8. I don't cancel the Wizard. I am not sure whether there is effect or not. listener.ora is not removed. I have been waiting for a while after stop listener.  I run the 3 commands again and copy the result as below:

  • Parameter Form look & Fee changed after upgrading to the Oracle Reports 11g

    Hi All,
We are using Oracle Database 11g, with Oracle Forms and Reports 11g.
We are in the process of migration our customized application from Oracle Forms 6i to Oracle Forms 11g, during migration we have faced a problem regarding the look and feel of reports parameter form,
We have almost 700 reports and 300 out of them are calling with report parameter form = yes,
When we call any report that is using Report Parameter Form, we have found that the look and feel completely changed, although it is acceptable for us as we have standardized the parameter form, with default layout, but the only problem is that, we are unable to fixed the length of any field having LOV, i.e. we have a field, that is showing Department Name, having Select DeptId, DeptName from Departments order by 1 and we have set the Hide First Column, when we call the report the length of this field systematically increased according to the biggest Department Name (Department Name having the highest number for characters), we want to fix the length of every parameter to a certain size,
    Would gurus please advice?
    Thanks,
    Hassan

    Hi,
    I have seen this problem.
I assume that Apex 4 do not give fxx name to items anymore in order where columns are in query.
This is one of reasons why we have not been yet able to upgrade.
And it seems this same problem exists in Apex 4.1 on apex.oracle.com

  • Oracle Forms 11g SSO with OID and IAM

What versions of OID and Access Manager are required to get an Oracle Forms and Reports 11.1.1.2 application
on Weblogic 10.3.2 configured for Oracle SSO using OID authentication?
We want the OID to store and authenticate Users for username and password logins to the database, then
ultimately by user Certificate authentication in OID. I have OID 11.1.1.2 installed and SSO enabled for Forms
    in Enterprise Manager.
Is Access Manager required for Forms SSO with OID authentication to work or just to allow user interaction
    for registration and Password reset?
Things mention OAM 10.4.3 and others talk about IAM 11g for Forms 11.1.1.2 SSO to work with OID.
We did this back in Oracle Forms and OID 10g with JSP and LDAP to setup users but I understand 11g is
different and IAM can help or is required for this type of SSO to work.
    Any help?
Edited by: Kirch on Apr 30, 2013 7:39 AM

    Hi,
According to Oracle's certification matrix found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11gr1certmatrix.xls, Oracle Forms 11.1.1.2 is not supported to use any Oracle Access Manager (OAM) version. OAM is a component of IAM. It is only supported with Oracle SSO 10.1.4.x. The best solution would be to upgrade the Forms and Reports environment to either 11gR2 (11.1.2.1) or to the latest 11gR1 patchset 11.1.1.7. Both versions are compatible with OAM 11.1.1.7.0 and OID 11.1.1.7.0 where only Forms 11gR2 (11.1.2.1) is compatible with OAM 11.1.2.0 and OID 11.1.1.7.0. That would be the best solution as we have ran into configuration problems in the past with using Oracle SSO 10.1.4.x.
Since OID 11.1.1.2.0 is already installed, you should be able to patch it up to 11.1.1.7.0.
For user authentication in OID, it is required to have OAM or Oracle SSO as both products use WebGate or mod_osso agents for authentication and authorization. For purposes of allowing end users to register accounts and password reset, you will either need to also install another IAM component called Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) or create a customized SSO login page that can be coded to perform these actions. I believe there are some examples available on the Internet.
    Thanks,
    Scott

  • Is it Possible to connect oracle 10g with oracle forms 11g?

    Hi,
I have installed Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 and Oracle 11g forms and reports....
    My question is
Whether i can develop application using oracle forms 11g and using oracle 10g as backend connection......
If Possible then how to configure it......
    Thanks.

    That would depend on the exact version of Forms 11g you are referring to;
    this document: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/oracle-forms-111210certmatrix-1886127.xls
is for forms 11.1.2.1 and indicates database 10.2.0.4 is certified with this version of forms. For other Forms versions this might be different (I don't know as I didn't look it up).
You whould do the SQL*Net config like you'd do it on any other oracle client:
    Tnsnames.ora - Oracle FAQ
    Sqlnet.ora - Oracle FAQ
except for reports where in the opmn.xml the TNS_ADMIN variable is set for the reports servers; so you'd have to place your config files under $INSTANCE_HOME/config as well.
