Is it possible? RFC to IDOC Scenario

Hi,
Is it possible direct RFC to IDOC scenario ?
How many message interface? Message mapping? Interface Mapping are neccessary.
(scenario is simple and i think there is no need for message type or data type as i can map my fields easily in message mapping)
I do not want to do RFC--File----IDOC scenario

searched on forum and found this solution
Three checkpoints:
1. Make sure you have entered the correct outbound and inbound interfaces.
2. Make sure you have activated your interfaces and mappings.
3. Make sure the cache is up-to-date (you can refresh cache by transaction sxi_cache).
Other very important tip when you create interface mapping.
Probably you did not select the inbound interface before selecting the Interface Mapping. First select the inbound interface (target interface), then you will see the interface mapping in the list
Go to your interface mapping and activate it. ( You might have to make a cosmetic change , like changing the description).
2. Go to transaction SXI_CACHE in the XI box and do a complete cache refresh. Once it is done, check that the mappings shown are the latest one.

  • RFC and Idoc scenarios

    Hi all,
I need couple of links which explaing me how to do RFC to File(or vice versa) and also Idoc to File scenarios( or vice versa).

    Hi Sonia,
    partner profile:
In partner profile we define the system which are going to communicate between themself and send data ... here we give some logical name for the system which are going to be partners in data communication.we set it using WE20

  • Rfc to idoc...... how to create order

    hi,
i worked on rfc to idoc scenario...... using matmas idoc to create material from r/3 system to IDES system through (rfcxiidoc) scenario
Now i want to do it to create an order using rfc to idoc
I am not sure which IDOC structure i will use and which fields are mandatory and optional?
I am looking to do that scenario with minimum required fields
    hussaan

    hi,
The fields which are mandatory in case of order creation depends on your system settings.Like for a sales order or purchase order, you first create an orderusing transaction me23n for purchase order and va01 for sales order and check which fields are mandatory and get minimum no of required fields.
In this PO to SO scenario Idoc message controls will also come into picture.
Then after doing the required ALE settings you can test your scenario.

  • ALE/IDOC and RFC/BAPI Integration Scenarios with SAP DS for ESA v3

    Hi,
we are planning two PoCs of Integration Plattforms. One of our major requirement set is SAP Integration into our existing SOA.
Because we also have R/3 4.7 Systems in production, we are planning to test ALE/IDOC and RFC/BAPI Integration scenarios with these Integration Plattforms.
    My question is:
We are looking for are smart solution to get a SAP Test Environment, where we can test ALE/IDOC und RFC/BAPI Integration scenarios.
It is possible to do this with SAP DS for ESA v3 or shall we better use IDES for that purpose?
    Best regards,
    Steven

    Hi Abhishek,
This is our scenario. We are doing an integration of SAP HR r/3 system with the CRM system. We need housing information details of the employees which we have in custom infotype 9310 in SAP HR system and we need those details in the CRM system. So am planning out for an ALE/IDOC approach for the integration and gonna  maintain the 9310 details in a custom table. In the CRM system, we gonna build a BOL layer for accessing the 9310 details. Also i'm preparing a HLD for this process. I wanna read and go through few same HLD's before i submit my proposal to my client. Please suggest me and help me out.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Regarding RFC connection in File to IDOC Scenario

    Hi everyone,
I was configuring file to Idoc Scenario, i have made all the required configurations in SLD, IR and ID, in XI system and in R/3 System. i have created RFC connection from XI to R/3 system, and its working fine. i have created an Partner profile in WE20 with sender file system name with inbound parameters. <i>But still i am getting error as EDI Partner Profile not defined in WE05- iDOC ADDED WITH ERRORS. </i><b>Do we need to create an RFC connection from R/3 system to XI for file to Idoc Scenario</b>
<b>!!! Note:  RFC connection from R/3 system to XI is not working, will this be a problem for file to idoc scenario. !!!</b>
    Regards,
    Varun Reddy.K

    Hi Varun
    Follow these steps
First - Maintain the Sender R/3 System:
SM59 : Create a RFC destination to XI
WE21 : Create a TRFC Port ->Specify the RFC Destination Created
BD54 : Create a Logical System for the Idoc Receiver
WE20 : Create Partner Profile ->Maintain Outbound and the Inbound Parameters
Second - Log on to XI System:
SM59 : RFC Destination for Sender System
IDX1 : Create the port to get Idoc Metadata from Sender System ( The Port Name must match the port name in the idoc header - Usually in format SAP<System ID>. eg. SAPID1 [Optional Step. Not mandatory]
IDX2 : Maintain the Idoc Metadata. This is needed only by XI, and not by other SAP systems. IDX2 is needed because XI needs to construct IDoc-XML from the IDoc. No other SAP system needs to do that.

  • IDOC Scenario - User  has no RFC authorization for function group EDIN

    Hi all,
I'm trying to configure an IDOC scenario from ECC to XI.
RFC's, ports and destinations already configured. On WE19 I'm creating an IDOC for testing the scenario. The IDOC is sent successfully, and it stops on TRFC Monitor with error "User PIRFCUSER has no RFC authorization for function group EDIN." .
Some of you knows what authorization is needed? Basis team said the roles are the same at DEV environment, and there this scenario works fine.
    Thanks for your help.
    regards.
    Roberti

    Hi,
Check with PIRFCUSER user , that is having the right authorization or not ..
And make sure that this user is present in the system & it should  not locked.
to check that user is present or not-----goto su01 of the system & check

  • Using RFC in File to Idoc Scenario

    Hi all,
I got a complex requirement in EDI to IDOC Scenario , I am getting EDI 850 file from Customer and posting IDOC to R3 . In this process i need to have some validations using RFC(Which connects to R3) at XI level, If these validations fails then we should not post Idoc to R3 and we need to send back a mail to customer. I am not expert at XI, So can you please suggest is there is any way to build this requirement.
Thanks for looking into this. Your help is appreciable
    Thanks,

Yes, u can achieve it by using multimappping.
First write a functional module wich is remote enabelled(just change the parameter value).
Then in message mapping u will have  a multimapping, with mail (0..1) occurence.
If suppose the validation fails u will send a flag or a field which to PI, and based on this value the mail is sent to the recepients.
In operation mapping make sure that Mail occurence is 0..1.
If any prblm still.. pl do post.

  • File to IDOC Scenario - Doubt in RFC Destination

    Hi all,
I m working on a File - IDOC Scenario. I got a IDX1 error Also when I try to import IDOC in IDX2, I got I:000 error message(No more information was given) . When I checked the RFC destination, Test Connection works fine. But Remote Logon didnt work, since the target system is not a Trusted System
Is it necessary to make the Target System, a Trusted System ? (For enabling Remote Logon)

    Hi ,
There might be some problem with the R3 user that u r using...
For some versions of R3 it is required that the password be in CAPS for making an RFC connection...
I knw this sounds weird but even i had this problem....
Also chk if the XI user has RFC priviliges..
    reward points if helpful

  • Message has error status at outbound side File To Idoc Scenario

    hi ,
In my File to Idoc scenario , when i go to sxmb_moni , i found that its showing red flag at Outbound Status Tab and showing message "Message has error status at outbound side".
When i go to IDX5 and and select my idoc and click on Transaction Id it shows "Password logon no longer possible - too many faile" .
Please suggest what may be the problem ?
    Regards,
    Rohit

    1. First check the RFC destination name used in receiver Idoc adapter communication channel.
    2. As i said earlier, in sm59 transaction in XI gui, u can check same rfc destination under type 3. There check the logon credentials and the username.
    3. Now goto the R3 system GUI and check in su01 that same user is locked or not. If locked unlock it.
    4. And if u change the password of that user, then do the similar change in XI -> sm59 -> rfc destination logon credential

  • Receive acknowledgement in file-to-idoc scenario

    Hello!
I'm using guide "How to handle acknowledgement for IDOC", and for the first time I want to see an acknowledgement status in sxmb_moni.
    I have passed all steps:
In CRM I have logical system P1DFILE, this is the system that sends an idoc to CRM.
Also, I have logical system C2DCLNT100 - this is CRM system.
First, I go to BD64, create new model view XI_CRM. Then, add message type:
    Sender system - C2DCLNT100
    Receiver system - P1DFILE
    Message type - ALEAUD.
Then I create RFC destination P1D_001 to my PI server.
    Then I create port SAPP1D using WE21
Then I go to WE20, choose my Logical System - P1DFILE. I already have the inbound message types (CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE and CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M). I add new outbound message - ALEAUD with receiver port SAPP1D.
Then I go to RBDSTATE, create variant SAP_AUDIT_SEND and enter:
    Confirmation to system: P1DFILE
    Message type: CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE and CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M
Then, in SM36 I shedule SAP_AUDIT_SEND as a hourly job (does this mean, that I will receive confirmations only every hour?)
So, what should I do to see ack in sxmb_moni?

    Dear All,
For file to idoc scenario is there any possibility to get line items details or xml details i.e the segments and its related field details using reference id, transaction id or interface name or message id in SAP PI 7.0. I know we need to click each and every message in sxi_monitor and look for details.
For SAP(R3 System) I can create a report and set the job for specific time period so automatically it throws the details(like reference no, document date, invoice no from) in ftp path as .csv file. The same ftp path is maintained in program.
I wanted to check FTP--->PI postings and I have set the job at r3 system it is working fine and Im monitoring it too.
Now the end to end scenario is FTP--->PI--->ECC(R3 system). Please help. Many Thanks.

  • SOAP to IDoc scenario without BPM

    Hi,
    I have 2 scenario's
    1) IDoc-SOAP - -response -- IDoc scenario -- (have found some links  to do it without BPM)
    2) SOAP -- RFC request -- RFC response -- e-mail (no links found)
how can i achive both these scenario's without BPM. Currently i have these 2 scenarios in our 7.1 version with BPM. but our requirement is to migrate this scenario into 7.4 without BPM(No PO).
please help us to achive this scenario without BPM.
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    thanks,
    Praveen

    Hi Kiran,
Could you please let us know the exact requirement. How do you want to send the response back to IDOC?
ASync - Sync Bridge with IDOC sender is not possible in PI 7.0.
If It is something like IDOC --> SOAP --> IDOC , And If the SOAP request is small then you can use SOAP Lookup in IDOC to IDOC Scenario.
In The mapping You can do a lookup and get the response from SOAP(Webservice) and map that to your Target IDOC.
This is one possible way for you without BPM in PI7.0.
Please let me know if you need more details about this.
    Thanks

  • IDoc-IDoc scenario - EOIO

    Hello,
we've implemented IDoc-IDoc scenario. Sender is regular SAP system, receiver is Non-SAP system supporting IDoc receiving via RFC. We have following problem:
    1. Receiver system is stopped.
    2. Sender system sends IDoc but the IDoc cann't be delivered into Receiver (it's still stopped). The message is placed into some queue.
    3. Receiver system is started again.
    4. Sender system sends IDoc and the IDoc is delivered into Receiver (now it's already running).
    5. After a few minutes adapter try to re-send the first IDoc. Now the adapter is succesfull and the first IDoc is also delivered into Receiver.
Problem is that we need keep right order of the messages.
Is it possible to resolve it?
Thanks in advance for every advice!
    Regards,
    Zbynek

I've tried that but it doesn't work.
Also I've tried to follow this blog /people/community.user/blog/2006/11/04/how-to-serialize-idoc-xml-messages-fed-into-xi but it doesn't work either.
I think all IDocs are send from Integration Engine but if they are not delivered they are putted into some special queue of IDoc adapter. Is it possible?

  • Confusion in IDOC scenario

    Hi,
I have the following IDOC scenario:
<b>A non-SAP system sends via TRFC an IDOC to XI -> SAP</b>. I want to keep it simple as possible.
What scenario is that according to the SAP document "How to... Sample IDOC-XI Scenarios"?
I thought this would be scenario 1 (LS<->LS). Is that correct? But can I maintain in transaction IDX1 a port to the non-SAP system and load metadata with transaction IDX2 (that is not possible)????
The non-SAP system and the target SAP system have logical system names maintained in the SLD. The adapter-specific-identifiers are populated.
In the sending system the field EDI_DC40-SNDPR in the message header is populated with logical system name of the non-SAP system (e.g. XYZ).
But the trace of the non-SAP systems returns the following error message:
    RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
Transaction IDX1: Port XYZ, client 100, RFC destination  contain errort
I have added the port in IDX1 for XYZ, but the same error message is coming. Of course transaction IDX2 is not possible...
How can I check error messages of the idoc-adapter within XI?
    What is problem?
    Thanks!

    Hi Chris,
    >>a port to the non-SAP system and load metadata with transaction IDX2 (that is not possible)????
maybe you can try a little trick:
    - in idx1 create a port for your <b>non SAP</b> system
and but use the destination to your <b>normal R3</b>
    - then in idx2 import manually idoc metadata (Create option) for your non sap system (but you'll be importing from R3 RFC dest)
then just change the RFC dest in IDX1 from the one pointing to R3 to your non SAP system
<b>I don't know if this will work</b> but maybe it's worth to try
    BTW
when you test your RFC dest to your non SAP system does it work? is it R/3 (3) type?

    michal

  • Proxy or RFC or IDOC?

What way is better to connect from XI to web as 7.0?
In what cases is better to use rpoxy then RFC or IDOC and in what cases is better to use RFC or IDOC then proxy?

  • Error in IDOC-XI-IDOC scenario

    Hi folks,
Let me explain the issue. This is an IDOC-XI-IDOC scenario. No BPM’s involved. SAX parsing used to parse the IDOCs.
We had around 35000 IDOCs coming in from Brazil system, and they are all stuck in SMQ2 (Inbound queue) in XI. The first message of every queue is in SYSFAIL status, with the status text as <b>‘Problems found during the EXPORT to specified keyin table’</b>.
When I try to execute the queue manually, nothing happens, but an error comes at the bottom of the screen, saying <b>‘Function module does not exist or EXCEPTION raised’</b>.
I checked the dump on ST22, and it shows 130 runtime errors yesterday. The name of the runtime error is<b> ‘EXPORT_TABLE_UPDATE_CONFLICT’</b>.
In the ‘what happened?’ part of the dump, it says ‘Error in ABAP application program. The current ABAP program <b>“CL_XMS_PERSIST=============CP”</b> had to be terminated because one of the statements could not be executed. This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.’
Even SXMB_MONI is not opening (for yesterday’s date). When I try to open it, it hangs for a long time, and finally opens an ‘ABAP Runtime Errors’ page with the runtime error titled as<b> ‘SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY’</b> and the error short text as ‘ Runtime error: Unable to write short dump’
    Please advise.Thanks a ton!
    cheers,
    Prashanth

    Hello Prashanth,
First of all this is an XI issue and belongs in that forum.
The export problem is typical to situations where your XI DB is out of space/out of table space. Please check with your Basis team.
‘Function module does not exist or EXCEPTION raised’- This message is a standard ABAP RFC message. For an RFC function call to succeed, you need the same RFC function to exist on both systems. However this is probably not the case- it is more likely that you're out of DB space as I already wrote.
Good Luck (don't forget to award points)
    Ofer
