Is it Possible Scenario in workflow...

Hi All,
I have one scenario related to MM MIGO for Finance persons.
1. One report created for 103 (movement by where house) and one tcode for this.
2. This report has selection screen for PO date and MIR date.
3. I am calling this report from workflow
If any FI end users execute this transaction wf has to trigger, user will enter the fields in selection screen, then this output should come and sit in his SAP inbox.
He will open this mail and will check the status of report.
Here one more requirement., if any pending records are available in that report list, When ever he clicks on that pending recod the automatic mail has to go that particular department manager..
Please let me know, how it will be done in workflow.
This has been done my side: I called this report and it has been sit in maill box
But how can i link when ever user click on any record from the report list, one remainder mail has to go to that particular manager.
Regards,
Soni

Hello Soni,
Thanks for describing your requirement in detail. As I understand it I don't see any point in using workflow for this. Much as I like using workflow, it's the wrong tool for the job. If the user runs a report why does it have to sit in his inbox? Just run the report again if you want to check it.
Also for clicking and sending a mail, using workflow is overkill. Just call FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 directly from your report, you'll find plenty of examples in this forum.
Hope that helps,
Mike

    Hi
    Thank you for your post.
The reason why your contacts didn't display is currently the Tamil language is not supported by the Windows 7.5 OS and we do not have any information if this language will be supported in the future or not. The current list of supported languages are:
Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Swedish.
In regards to being a smart phone, these come from a variety of manufactures using a variety operating systems each having there own unique way of functioning and features and as such it is the responsibility of the consumers to make an informed choice on what device would suit them based on specifications of the device which includes hard ware or software. There is no unified smartphone requirements as each use's different operating systems.
So when purchasing a new device it is advisable to do some research on what device would suit your needs and if need be to speak to your local authorised mobile phone retailers for there expert advice. If at the point of purchase you were mis-advised and told that the Windows OS did support the Tamil language then this is something you will need to go back to the point of purchase otherwise it is your responsibility to make sure you choose a device that fully suit your needs.

  • Possible scenarios with XI, SAP AutoId, RFID combination.

    Hi All,
Could you please provide the answers to the below questions
    1. What all possible scenarios we can do with SAP AutoId using RFID datas?
    2. I would like to do scenarios with and without SAP Netweaver XI for the above case. Please provide some scenario examples.
    Regards
    Sara

    Hi Sara,
The possible scenarios of SAP Auto ID are many. You can have a detailed documentation on th esupported processes by SAP Auto ID on the following link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_autoid70/helpdata/en/5f/064f36300247b686bf0233454dbeb1/frameset.htm
Without using XI, you will not be able to integrated with SAP ERP.
So only process thats possible wihtout XI in SAP Auto ID is Slap and Ship Process. The same process has also been explained in the above link.
I hope this helps. Please revert if you any other doubts.

  • Possible Scenarios

    Hi,
I got some thing in my mind, when i am reading about XI. What are the possible scenarios will be needed for a given business requirment, i have some business requirment with me(ofcourse its not real, just an idea out from my mind).
First: Lets assume there is some Truck manufacturing company called <b>XYZ</b>, which spreaded its business all over the world. which has truck making units in Europe, America and Asia. Its using SAP R/3,SAP R/2 systems & Legacy systems
It has sales locations, dealers (assume they using <b>Web Based</b> and <b>Thirdy Party</b> systems)
Got some suppliers too, assume they are using standalone (third party) systems and receive & send the data by any other means.
Now, this <b>XYZ</b> company wants to integrate its R/3, R/2 Legacy, Thirdparty, Standalone, Web Applications using SAP XI.
What are all the possible scenarios needed to integrate all these things and which funtional areas? For example if we take Main Office of XYZ and one Supplier location, what are scenarios we wiill have.
Suggest me, The reason why i need like this becuase, want to deal XI in real time way..
    Thanks in advance.
    Jen

    HI,
If you are talking about Suppliers, vendors etc, then XYZ company can go for mySAP implementation first (SRM etc) then you can communicate with XI , by webservices, proxies, RFCs,Idocs etc. Because for many of the SAP application components, SAP provides predelivered content.
If your implemenation is global across the geographies, then XI can act here as a centralized integration platform.
I think, it is better to go with Case studies for a Manufacturing Firms. here you go ~

  • JAVA, JAVA WEB dynpro and possibility of JAVA workflow

    Hi all
Just a take here -- I'm just getting some feelers on the way WF SHOULD be going in future.
Since starting to use the JAVA WD system and netweaver developer studio it seems that having to encapsulate a lot of NEW Workflows as ABAP objects is going "Backwards". (Note I said NEW not EXISTING applications)
I understand that some compatability with existing systems needs to be maintained but if your user is doing all his applications from a Portal you really need the WF's to be triggered from the portal via say WEB SERVICES.
I find I'm actually using the older ERP / ECC 6.0 R/3 systems these days purely as DATA repositories and from a JAVA program can often retrieve the data via standard BAPI's and RFC calls in a JAVA or Portal application.
Isn't it about time that the workflow system as a whole was made much more JAVA and PORTAL friendly --since this is where more and more people are doing their developments from.
Since switching more or less full time over to JAVA WEB DYNPRO developments the whole development time is completed MUCH QUICKER and with many many less mistakes.
ABAP Web dynpro is also OK but it's still a little bit of a nightmare compared with JAVA when you need a lot of WEB SERVICES.
Some WF's obviously will need to remain ABAP based but newer custom WF's IMO should be WEB DYNPRO and WEB SERVICE based.
I can't think of too many large organisations who aren't making more and more use of Portals these days -- so C'mon SAP -- provide some proper Web hooks into WF's instead of us having to go through hoops and rings of writing LAST CENTURY's code to get stuff to work through a Portal.
    Cheers

    Hi,
Have you checked the new BPM tool that SAP is offering? I think that it is definately a big step into to the drection that you are describing. I haven't really checked all its features and the technology that is is based on, so I am not the biggest expert of this matter.
Check for example this article to get an overview: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b06c49b2-ac63-2c10-3d8d-d17b817ba4ca?quicklink=nw-bpm&overridelayout=true
Of course it will be a long road before this new tool will (if it will ever) replace the old ABAP based workflow engine.
I wouldn't totally agree with all the points that you presented (ABAP WD being a nighmare, etc.). Actually I think that the direction (at least in some parts) is the opposite. For example SAP seem to have replaced their "old" travel management applications (Java WD) with new ABAP WD applications, so I see that they believe more in ABAP than Java (of course there might be some financial & other reasons behind this also.). In my opinion WDA has so many advantages compared to WDJ, that I would consider carefully the options when choosing the technology (the possible better(?) compatibilitly with web services might be one of the reasons).

  • Travel Request Approval Scenario via Workflow does not trigger

    Hi guys,
System Information: SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4 / Using WDA-Scenarios on Portal NW 7.01.
I'm having trouble understanding/implementing the approval scenario of the Travel Request via Workflow/UWL. POWL isn't usable for us as it isn't flexible enough to process the complex agent assignment rules for the respective approver our (momentarily..) requirements 'dictate' ...
    What I did so far:
I copied the Workflow Template 200000040 to a custom template (since I'll have to alter it) and activated the Event of Creation for BUS2089. Thus, in SWE2, the respective entry for BUS2089 for the event CREATED has been set by the system. All good so far. When I create a TRIP via PR05 (we are public sector), the event for BUS2089 gets fired in SAPMP56T and the Workflow gets triggered; works out well. However, when I post a travel request in Portal (FITE_REQUEST), the workflow is not getting triggered. I searched for information or similar questions on the forum but didn't find anything. Neither did I find a concrete clue in the View Containers FITE_VC_* etc..
Could anyone assist me with this? I'm sure I'm missing something very basic here.... -_-
    Bottom line:
Why is my workflow not getting triggered from creating travel requests via FITE_REQUEST?
    Cheers, Lukas

SWE2 linkage is activated for my Workflow number (I didn't do it by hand, it's set by the system since I activated the event in my workflowtemplate --> this way actually no inconsistencies can happen).
SWDD Tests are successful and the Workflow is working well in general. That's why I pointed out in my previous post that the process is working fine when initiated via PR05.
EDIT: Or maybe somebody knows the part in coding FITV_FPM/FITE_VC* where the workflow should be triggered? It's freaking unfindable, I've been debugging for hours. >:-(
EDIT: Debugged the entire WDA Frmaework for like five hours...feeling dead inside...someone please tell me from where the workflow gets triggered when saving travel request from portal -_-....

  • Possible scenario's and handling in SNC5.1

We are preparing for Go-Live and want to prepare in advance for Interchangeability scenario
    1. What kind of scenario's we can expect in case of interchangeability?
Is it possible to list the cases and solutions as per case.
    Regards,
    Vaibhav Virkud

Ok... the "Operator not drilling to KM steps" thing must have been some funky client tool issue... today it worked fine.
    So.... more details:
    - The job references an object from a model that points to the Logical Schema called ORACLE_BANNER_VIEWS. There is another Logical Schema in the topology called ORACLE_BANNER.
    - I cannot tell which Logical Schema the failing step (create view on source) is using... it just says ORACLE_BANNE... and then gets cut off, because the UI widget isn't wide enough and can't be made wider.
    - The "invalid user" being referenced in the execution log is called ETL_USER. That user is in fact tied to the ORACLE_BANNER schema, but not the ORACLE_BANNER_VIEWS logical schema tied to the failing job.
It's as if the job is using the wrong Logical Schema.
I've asked the DBA to try deleting the scenario and re-importing, but meanwhile... thoughts on the above?

  • Is it possible to debug workflows deployed using Workflow Manager in VS 2013?

I know and I have debugged workflows in VS 2012 as described here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj658563%28v=azure.10%29.aspx
But I am unable to debug in VS 2013 Update 2.
Also, many activities like HttpSend are not displaying after updating to VS 2013 Update 2.
Is there any fix available for this?

You can't step through a SharePoint Designer Workflow.  The normal workaround is to Log messages to the History list with the values you want to look at where you would normally put breakpoints.  Then run the workflow and examine the history
list to see how the values changed as you went through your workflow.

  • Decommissioning a domain controller - Possible Scenarios

    Hello,
I am in the process of upgrading my window server 2003 to 2012 R2.
I have introduced a swing DC,installed 2012 on it,ensured that replication is occuring between the two and succesffully transfered the roles from the old DC to the new temporary 2012 DC.
Refer to this thread for the procedures in use
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/1c742612-ff44-4521-bb68-53b17b287fae/upgrade-domain-controller-from-windows-server-2003-sp2-to-windows-server-2008-or-2012?forum=winservergen
Now i intend to decommission the old 2003 server , and to a fresh reinstallation of 2012 in it,then once i ensure replication has occured, transfer back the roles and decommission the swing DC
    Both server are global catalogs..
My question is this, Do i just do a fresh reinstallation of the 2012 on the old server 2003 without first demoting it? or do i demote it ,test and then install 2012 on it...
Since the servers are GC both,is there a possibility that when i demote the old DC the DNS,AD details that had replicated dissapears?
What any other cautions should i check?
    Thanks

    Hello,
demotion is ALWAYS required except you do in-place upgrades which is not recommended on DCs.
If you don't do a correct demotion, also removing it from AD UC after removing the server complete from the network, checking DNS zones and zone properties and Name server tabs and removing the DC from AD sites and services (not done during demotion),
you may run into trouble when installing a new DC with the same name and also have always replication errors as the AD database doesn't know that the DC is removed correct.
With a not correct demoted DC AD metadata cleanup is required.
BEFORE demoting the old OS machine ASSURE that the enw DC has also the NETLOGON and SYSVOL share available and they contain the same content as on the old DC.
Also the new DC MUST become DNS server if you don't have any domain member server that handles DNS zones.

  • Expanding possible scenarios in a view

    Hi,
I'm trying to expand out business rules which use a 'one of this group and one of this group...' type logic e.g.:
    there are 3 groups:
in the first group are 2 options
in the second group there are 3 options
in the third group there are 3 options
I need my end result to be a full set of data for every scenario:
    Scenario Group Option
    1 1 a
    1 2 a
    1 3 a
    2 1 a
    2 2 a
    2 3 b
    3 1 a
    3 2 a
    3 3 c
    4 1 a
    4 2 b
    4 3 a
currently I have managed to create the correct number of rows for each option for each scenario, but I can not devise a way of ordering them to give the 'Scenario' column in the above example.
Any help would be most appreciated. If more info is needed, please let me know.

Why do you not want, for example:

    5          1     a
    5          2     b
    5          3     b     ?
currently I have managed to create the correct number of rows for each option for each scenario, but I can not devise a way of ordering them to give the 'Scenario' column in the above example.
Any help would be most appreciated. If more info is needed, please let me know.As Newbie said, post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for your sample data, and the results you want from that data (if they are not exactly what you posted already.)
Explain how you get those results from that data.
Always say which version or Oracle you're using.
You can get all combinations (one item from grp=1, one from grp=2 and one from grp=3) like this:
SELECT  ROW_NUMBER () OVER (ORDER BY NULL)     AS scenario
    ,       SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH (option, '/')     AS option_list
    FROM     table_x
    WHERE     CONNECT_BY_ISLEAF     = 1
    START WITH     grp     = 1
CONNECT BY     grp     = 1 + PRIOR grp
;This will produce one row per combination (perhaps that's what you mean by "scenario") like this:
    SCENARIO     OPTION_LIST
    1          /a/a/a
    2          /a/a/b
    3          /a/a/c
    4          /a/b/a
...If you want a separate output row for each combination and grp, then you can split apart the option_list like this:
    WITH     got_option_list          AS
SELECT  ROW_NUMBER () OVER (ORDER BY ROWNUM)     AS scenario
         ,       SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH (option, '/')     AS option_list
         FROM     table_x
         WHERE     CONNECT_BY_ISLEAF     = 1
         START WITH     grp     = 1
CONNECT BY     grp     = 1 + PRIOR grp
         ORDER SIBLINGS BY     option
    ,     all_groups     AS
         SELECT DISTINCT     grp
         FROM          table_x
    SELECT       o.scenario
    ,       g.grp
    ,       REGEXP_SUBSTR ( option_list
                          , '[^/]+'
                         , 1
                         , g.grp
                         )          AS option
    FROM          got_option_list     o
    CROSS JOIN     all_groups     g
    ORDER BY  o.scenario
    ,       g.grp
;Of course, since I don't have your table, I can't actually test this.
Notice that this solution does not assume you know how many options are in the different grps. It doesn't even assume you know how many grps there are. It does assume that the groups are numbered with consecutive integers, starting with 1. If that's not the case, use the analytic DENSE_RANK function to map the actual grp values (they don't have to be NUMBERs) to 1, 2, 3, ...

  • A possible scenario?

    hello,
i'm new to javacard but not to java (as the post before this one maybe demonstrates). I'm currently implementing a client server, which I'll briefly explain below:
-Client makes a request to the server for a file, and sends their public key (which is stored on a java card)
-Server encrypts a file using a DES symmetric key and sends it to the client, together with the symmetric key, encrypted with the user's public key.
-on the Client side, a java smart card stores the user's public and private keys. The wrapped symmetric key is passed to the smart card, which uses the stored private key to decrypt it.
-the Smart Card, having obtained the symmetric key, decrypts the symmetrically encrypted file and sends it back to the client terminal.
Is this sort of thing possible? the file would be around 100kb in size, if that. I'm just wondering if it's possible for the card to generate and permanently store a keypair itself, or whether it's better to set those at the time of cap upload. Furthermore, will a public key sent from the card be compatible with standard RSA PublicKey?
If this is all possible, could someone give me a few pointers or advice on where to look? I've looked at a few web tutorials but nothing seems similar.
Going to have to offer a few dukes for this..:) thank you in advance.

The most of smart cards support DES, 3DES and RSA encryption. Also, it is possible to encrypt/decrypt unlimited amount of data using block ciphers through smart-card if you will send information to it in blocks.
Card can generate and permanently store public/private keys.
But... if you will send user's public key to server, this key is known to all. If server will encrypt file with some symmetric key, and this symmetric key is sent to client being encrypted with users's public key - bot file and key can be decrypted by anyone, who has access to channel between user and server.
Anyway, you should start from http://java.sun.com/products/javacard/index.jsp.
Download Java card development kit from there and read all docs
You should also know GlobalPlatform (www.globalplatform.org) standard well.
