Is it possible send a support message  to service desk  by e-mail?

Hello All,
I’m working with service desk in solution manager. I would know, if is possible send a support message  to service desk  by e-mail. Thank in advance.
Giovanni

This is an interesting question.
It is technically possible to receive mails through a SAP system (we used SAPOffice as primary mail tool for years before M$ came into place). The question is: can you configure sapconnect to trigger some sort of activity once a mail for a specific account is reached?
Programatically this is certainly possible but I think using the standard it isn't.

  • Sending email causes Message Viewer window to close in Mail Version 4.5 (1084)

Sometime after running the software updater, the Mail Application Version 4.5 (1084) has started to behave differently. Each time I send an email, the email sent closes and then the "Message Viewer" window closes as well. I am still in the Mail application. The menu bar still has the Mail app. headings but I must enter "Window" and select "Message Viewer" to reopen the Message Viewer. Mac OS 10.6.8 on a Powerbook 15" (2.66 Ghz, 4GB 1067 DDR3) Build 10k540.
Is there an option that was selected after the update that causes the Message Viewer to close after Sending an email or do I have an unstable Mail application?

Try downloading these: Even if you already have this should not cause any issues.

  • How to Create Support Message with no SolMan User

    Hi all,
I would like to test if it is possible to create a support message from ECC system, if the same user do not have a SolMan user.
Now, in few other threads, like
Creation of support message in SolMan without having user id in SolMan
Re: Do End User Require Login in Solman to raise Support Messages !!
show to the user there support message list
    e.t.c.
it is clearly stated: it is possible.
I have done the next steps:
    In ECC:
    - created a test user
    - assighned him a "sap_all" profile (and "Z_SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE" role) + user comparasion
    - assighned him a "Z_SAP_S_RFCACL" role + user comparasion
    In Solman:
    - No user created
    - In TX DNO_CUST04 the Field Name "NO_USER_CHECK" is maintained with the value "X".
    - In tx BP business partner is created as a general BP, with valid external SYS ID no (other users with both ECC and SM user are OK), and changed to "employee" with ECC username defined.
Now, the problem is when I try to create a support message as a test user in ECC, I get an error:
"Error in Local Message System: No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trust Message was Not Created"
All I could find is the tread:
    solution maanger issue
and this one is basicly different:
the mentioned user has both ECC and SM user.
And one of the answers was the user must have S_RFCACL roles in BOTH ECC ans SM systems...
In ST22 (in solman) I get error description:
" An RFC call (Remote Function Call) was sent with the invalid user ID
      "TEST_T01230 "
. Or the calling system is not registered as trusted system in the
    target system."
Now, the calling system IS regged as a trusted sys (as I mantioned - other users with both ECC and SM users can send supp. msgs)
So -  the only answer is "invalid user ID".
    The short message is
" No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trusted RC=0)"
and  the trusted return codes ( 0 ) have the following meaning:   Invalid logon data (user ID and client) for the trusting system.
So. how can I perform trusted Logon with no user in SM?
    Thank you in advance,
    cheers
    Nenad

    Hi again,
    thank you for your help.
At first I thought you meant *_back dest. directly in SM, and now I see you ment to use SMSY to go to ECC sys, and maintain the RFC conns on ECC diredtly from SMSY, "clean-up RFC Destinations". Yes, can do
    So:
    The problem is solved.
I deleted the *_back user from ECC to SM, and re-generated the connection with default system pre-defined user SMB_T01. (it is interesting that SU01 reports - user SMB_T01 does not exist)
I even deleted a SRFCACL role from the test user in ECC, and the user was still able to create the support message (certanly he was, as he uses a *:back rfc with SMB_T01to log on to SM)
    So, resume:
To be able to create / send a support message from another system, with no user in SolMan, it is needed:
    - a user in other system with roles needed for everyday work, +  "Z_SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE" role;
    - a not trusted SM_<SID>CLNT<CLNT_NB>_BACK rfc connection from satelite system to SolMan, with defined logon user (with apropriate authorisations) - generated by the system.
    -  the BCOS_CUST table in ECC system should be onfigured like: OSS_MSG W SM_<SID>CLNT<CLNT_NB>_BACK CUST 620 1.0
    - a Business Partner for user in SM with identification number for system from where the massege will be sent from. (the user can send the note with out this condition, but the "created by" field in message will be empty in that case)
    Once again thank you,
    cheers,
    Nenad
    Case closed.

    SAP_SUPPDESK_ADMIN
for the user in the solman .
    2) I checked the RFC connection and it is working fine.
Anyone pls help me to resolve this issue

  • Error 513 while creating a support message (related to roles/profiles)

    Hello everyone,
my user is getting the generous error 513 while sending a support message either on the SAP GUI or Workcenter. I am trying to implement a profile for a key user, who can display, reply and create simple messages without putting in technical data.
I gave him the following roles:
    SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN
    SAP_SUPPCF_CREATE
    SAP_SUPPCF_ADMIN
    SAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY
    SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE
    SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE
and a generous role with the missing parts:
    ZSAP_SMWC
When I tried sending a message with the GUI I used SU53 to find out which rights are missing and added them to ZSAP_SMWC. Now I got all of them and the SU53 replies that there are no more missing rights.
Thing is: When I add the profile SAPALL to my user, it works just fine. This is leading me to a problem i can't solve._
I also have to say that I accidently deleted some flags inside of sap_suppcf_create without copying it. Is there a way to restore SAP standard settings?
    Thanks in advance,
    Hendrik

  • Configuration in Solman and Satellite system for Support message creation ?

    Hi ,
I want to send a support message to solman from the ( help menu -> create support message )
    of my satellite system.
any one tell me the settings that i have to make in both the sattelite system and the solman  for sending a support message.

    Hi,
the necessary steps are described in Solution Manager IMG documentation.
Also you can find that information in the web blogs in this forum.
    In a nutshell:
    - activate Service Desk in Solution Manager (incl. BC-Sets)
    - maintain System Landscape, RFCs and iBase
    - create key users (business partners)
    - maintain number ranges
    - assign roles
    - maintain table BCOS_CUST in satellite system
You should just follow the corresponding customizing steps in tx: SPRO.

  • Send mail from service desk.

    Hello,
I need some advise on sending emails from within the service desk using the Email to Message Creator (Mail) feature. This doesn't seem to be working at the moment for our v4.0 Solman installation.
I have already configured SAPconnect and the SMTP gateway has been setup to allow outbound email from Solman to a mail server - I have tested this using the business workplace by sending an email to my email account and that works.
I have been review numerous notes do I need to install the WP-PI for our installation BASIS 7.00. ITS has already been configured.
    Thanks and Regards,
    H

    Dear Hardeep,
The issue that you have raised is very curious. However it does not
relate directly to Solution Manager. In principle it is possible to
send an email to an external receipient from SAP System with an link to
    an Business object.
Please find the following SAP Note(s) for your review:
    (1) 880203 SAPconnect: sending business objects
    (2) 196171 Required table entries f. workplace server system
Note 880203 is directly related to note 530932 but offers a much better
solution, if your system configuration doesn't include and ITS server.
In general: when an object link is send to an external address,
the object is converted to an URL which allows direct access to
    the object/SAP system.
To generate the URL you will need to perform some customizing as has
been described in note 530932, e.g. the name of the web server, etc.
You will alos have to perform additional table customizing as per note
    196171:
In addition to the names for the component systems, the workplace server
system must also have an own entry in table TBDLS that corresponds to
the entry of the respective client in table T000.
    Quote //
If this data is not maintained, note 880203 offers the solution that
the message is send as normal text or html without link. So, the
recipient is still informed about the issue and can logon to the
SAP system on his prefered way, open the object and do the required
    task.
So, please apply the correction from note 880203. In t-cd SCOT you can
choose on your mail server node, if the object message should be send
as text or as html. If the URL is generated within the document depends
on the customizing you did in the workplace/Url tables mentioned in
    notes 530932 and 196171
    UnQuote //
I hope that the above information is to your satisfaction.
    Regards
    Amit

  • Is it possible to send a text message using the UDP protocol?

    Support doc
    http://www.adobe.com/support/director/multiuser/using_udp/using_udp02.html
says to use the following format with connectToNetServer:
    errCode =
    gMultiuserInstance.connectToNetServer([#remoteAddress:
    "chatServer.myCompany.com", #logonInfo: [#userID: "Bob",
    #password:
    "MySecret", #movieID: "Tech Chat"], #mode: #smus,
    #localUDPPort: 1627,
    #localAddress: "123.45.67.89", #remoteTCPPort: 1626])
But if I change the mode to #text, it still sends out
    messages as smus.
In fact, if I leave out the UDP parameters altogether but
    still use the
list parameters for connectToNetServer, it still always sends
    as smus.
    Sends as smus:
    errCode =
    gMultiuserInstance.connectToNetServer([#remoteAddress:
    "chatServer.myCompany.com", #logonInfo: [#userID: "Bob",
    #password:

    "chatServer.myCompany.com", #logonInfo: [#userID: "Bob",
    #password:
    "MySecret", #movieID: "Tech Chat"], #mode: #text])
Only the string parameter method can be made to send text
    messages.
    Sends as text:
    errCode = gMultiuserInstance.connectToNetServer("Bob",
    "MySecret",
    "chatServer.myCompany.com", 1626, "Tech Chat", 1)
