Is it possible share a FILTER bewteen two power pivot tables

Hi All,
I know in PowerPivot you can share a slicer between two tables but can you share a "Filter" between two tables. Workaround is to create a slicer but maybe there is a option

In your scenario, you want to apply one filter to all the Pivot table on one sheet, right? As Mohan Kumar said, currently it seems that we cannot apply one filter to all the Pivot tables on one sheet. Here is a similar thread, please see:

If you have a unique key, you could use one of the following functions for your scenarios:
If you only have one image per house, you can use LookUp:

How to show two seperate pivot tables with one select column

Hi All
My client wishes to have two pivot tables, one showing positive results and the other showing negative results.
For Example:
DIMENSION
BUSINESS A          1000
BUSINESS B          500
BUSINESS C          100
DIMENSION
BUSINESS A          -1000
BUSINESS B          -500
BUSINESS C          -100
Is it possible to then select the different DIMENSION with one select column for both?

SSAS Default Member Causing incorrect data in Excel Pivot Table using Multi-select in filter

I have an Excel 2013 pivot table connected to an SSAS (2012) cube. One of my dimensions has a default member specified. When I drop this dimension in the filter area of my pivot table and select multiple members including the default member then
only data for the default member is shown. Selecting multiple members where the default member is not included does not result in an issue.
I believe this may be in an issue in how Excel builds the MDX but wanted to see if there are any work arounds.
This issue can be recreated using AdvetureWorks using the following steps:
Alter the Product Dimension of the SSAS Default Member by setting the default member of the Product Line Attribute to Mountain: [Product].[Product Line]&[M]
Process the cube
Connect to the cube via Excel 2013
Drag internet gross profit to the Values area (The value will be 4700437.22 which reflects the Mountain default filter)
Drag Product Model Lines to the Filters area (you will see Mountain selected by default)
Change the filter by checking the Select Multiple Items checkbox and checking Mountain and Road (You will see that the amount does not change)
Change the filter again by selecting Road only (to demonstrate that Road has a value, 5602105.8, associated with it)
Change the filter again to select Road and Touring (to demonstrate that the correct aggregation of the two selected members is preformed)

According to your description, the default member cause incorrect data when dragging a attribute that contain a default member to the FILTERS area, right?
I can reproduce this issue on my environment, when dropping this dimension in the filter area of my pivot table and select multiple members including the default member then only data for the default member is shown. Currently, it's hard to say the root
reason that cause this issue. In order to narrow down this issue, please apply the latest server pack and cumulative update.

Is it possible to change the data of Pivot Table?

Hello,
I want to develop an excel add-in in .net and want to show the data to user using "Pivot Table".
Is there a way in which I can allow the user to change the cell values of the "Pivot Table" without changing the source data?

Hi Vinay,
As far as I know, it's not possible. We can only change those Pivot Table cells that belong to Row Label or Column Label. But we can't change the Value cells. You'll get some errors like "Cannot change this part of a Pivot Table report".
If you just want to display a report with some changes to the original Pivot Table report, I would recommend that you copy the data from the Pivot Table to another worksheet, then modify the values.

It is possible to share a library between two users on the same mac?

It's doable. As it's been pointed out Aperture has no provisions for file locking so you can't have two users accessing the library at the same time. This includes having one user having the library open only for browsing. Aperture doesn't have a +Read Only+ mode, when it opens the library, even if you make no changes to any images, the library will be written to.
This also means you can't have one user open the library and then stop using Aperture but still have the library open and then have another copy of Aperture open on the library.
Of course if you have two copies of Aperture running even they are on different libraries you'll be in violation of the license and you'll have bigger problems to worry about then a toasted library.

Hey.. was just curious if its possible to share a gprs connection from one mobile.. say N73 to some other mobile say N95 via bluetooth .. I know we can share the internet connection of a PC to a mobile over bluetooth but .. is it possible to do so between two mobiles?
It would be great if there's some 3rd party app which actually makes this possible!

Technically it can be done.
But I don't know til now an application which do this.
There is some apps for WiFi but not for GPRS.
May be you have to post your suggestion to some 3rd party companies or may be it's time for you to develop your own application.
You have many choices for programming: C++, Python, Java, ...

It's possible to share between two computers but not two iPods, change the settings for the pod to manual > Edit > Preferences > iPod.

Can I share an Ipod between two User accounts

Trying to share one Ipod between two accounts ! but dont seem to be able to download from different accounts onto Ipod, outside of Ipod original account !!

Other users on the machine should already be able to see the apps assuming they're not installed in a specific users ~/applications folder.
Are they not visible?
If the app is in the ~/applications folder you might want to try moving it to the /applications folder.

There are couple of reason behind it.
main reason is
take one scenario we have DSO as source and cube as target.
Now DSO contains only 1 request, which i have loaded to cube by using delta.
after that i have deleted DSO content by using right click on it and delete data.
(hope u know that it will not delete request from target automatically)
now once again i have loaded same request from datasource to DSO
and then loaded delta again from DSO to cube.
In this case for 1 single request in DSO you can see 2 request in cube with same data.

1. As a DP functional consultant you need to resolve all the incidents raised in APO DP module( Forecasting, lifecycle planning, master data in APO DP, Planning books, macros , release to APO SNP or R/3 or other systems, CVC maintenance etc) which will also include BW part of SCM -APO related to DP, like data extraction and back up into and from infocubes. You will also support all the interfaces realted to APO DP , for the APO related part of the interface.
You need to reoslve these incidents in the time frames defined by SLAs for the support project.
You will have to also carry out problem management of some of the critical incidents so that incidents do not re-occur.
Further you will have to support Release /Change managment support( if it is part of your contract of Support project).
This willl involve testing changes in quality system, before these are moved to production system.
2 I found 2 crtical issues in APO DP support as below:
2.1 Sales history extraction data interafces from BW system used to have problems : technical problems of interface / jobs in BW running late, functional problems: sales history extract in BW not correct because various reasons
This used to lead to delayed job runs in APO and finally delayed forecasting and ptehr DP processes .
By proactive monitoring by BW team and taking appropriate actions for master data issues, this issue occurance frequency was reduced , but not completely eliminated.
2.2 Another major issue was related to back up process of APO DP planning data into infocubes. Finally by splitting the jobs as per daily, weekly and monthly bakc up procedure , we were able to resolve the issue.

TOPN filter on two combined cubes

do you know how to apply a TOPN filter on two combined queries like the one below:
SELECT saw_0, saw_1, saw_2 FROM ((SELECT Companies.Company saw_0, "Non Revenue Facts".Rooms saw_1, "Local Revenue Facts"."Room Revenue" saw_2 FROM COMPANY) UNION (SELECT "Travel Agent".Travel saw_0, "Non Revenue Facts".Rooms saw_1, "Local Revenue Facts"."Room Revenue" saw_2 FROM TRAVEL_AGENT)) t1 ORDER BY saw_1 DESC
The filter should be this one WHERE TOPN("Non Revenue Facts".Rooms,10) <= 10)
I tried to apply it on each query, but doesn't give the expected results.
the filter should apply for both queries.
Any idea?

You can pass data between frames by passing it as parameters.
That is when you are invoking another frame, pass your data as arguments through the constructor to that frame .
You can also achieve this through static or public methods, but static variables as we know is not suggested which might occupy more memory space.
