Hi everyone, I have a macbook air and I feel like the fan is not working because everytime I use it, it gets really hot and I don't know why this happens. That's why I'm asking if my fan is turned off..
Resetting SMC may help. Try it.

I downloaded OS X Mavericks yesterday.The fan will not turn off. It runs whenever i turn on the computer. The computer does not turn off when i close the lid, and the fan still runs. My macbook air 11" (mid 2011) turns off randomly. Sometimes, in the middle of something a black screen. After a few seconds it starts up again, on using a key. It restarts in the application I worked on before. Strange!
Do you have put hard drive to sleep when possible checked? Try unchecking it.Have you tried repairing permissions in utilities? You could also do a pram reset. Command/Option/P/R keys at startup for three chimes.

Is Mavericks.app for iMac same as that for Macbook Air?
I downloaded Mavericks.app for my iMac and then used the same installer (mavericks.app) to upgrade my Macbook Air 2013. The upgrade was smooth; but the battery life isn't very great.
Can someone confirm that there's Mavericks upgrade for iMac is the same as that for Macbook Air?Thanks! Haven't had any problems with the software; except that I'm not happy with the battery life my MBA 2013, 13" offers after the upgrade. Looks like time to reset PRAM and SMC.

Thank you, but I followed all instructions to reset the SMC and it has not helped. Looks like I'll have to take it in to Apple for repair.

Another possible solution is to use a battery grip on your 70D and see if the dial on the grip will change the shutter speed.

I forgot to mention that the macbook air I own is a refurbished one late 2008 aluminum model.
I downloaded from the HP website the upgrade for my macbook air but I still cannot print from the wireless airport on my macbook air. Anyone know why or what I can do to resovle this? Thank you.
Boot in Safe Mode so you can see how much free space there is on the startup disk.
Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
If there's less than 15% available disk space, you need to delete files to free up space. You can do that in Safe Mode.
Then click Restart from your Apple menu .
