Is it possible to access a group of (sequential) registers with a single URL?

I'm testing out datasockets to an A-B RSLinx OPC server. At the moment, it appears as though each register in the PLC has to be accessed with an individual URL. Is it possible to access a group of (sequential) registers with a single URL? I suspect i may have to cluster a bunch of individuals together

For each data member, you will need a unique URL. There is not a way to bundle them into one URL.

Accessing Parallel Port Control and Status Registers with VISA and Win7x64

I've posted this in the I/O forum for VISA, but this main forum seems to get a lot more traffic so I'm posting here too.
Wondering if anyone has a solution for accessing the Control and Status registers on a parallel port with VISA, now that Win7 has locked down the I/O ports and In Port.vi and Out Port.vi don't work anymore. I've been looking all over for a solution and haven't found anything that will help; either the VISA solution is shown but doesn't mention if the Status and Control registers are accessible, or the solution is for a 32 bit system.
The one thing I found was under Instrument I/O>VISA>VISA Advanced, there is a group of functions called Register Access; but, when I investigate that, it seems to need an address that the detailed help describes as "VXI, VME, and GPIB-VXI" or "PXI" with no mention of Parallel Port usage, so I'm pretty much at the end of what I can figure out.
Basically what I need to do is use the data lines to send info, and watch the status lines for incoming discrete signals. Since parallel ports are half duplex, I can't have the data lines be both inputs and outputs simultaneously, which is what I need. A cheap D I/O card would be the easiest solution, but to make a long story short I'm dealing with a legacy system and that's something my higher-ups want to avoid.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I was able to solve this problem using software from Entech Taiwan; it's called TVicPort and it's available for free for personal use, and very cheaply for commercial license. If you have questions let me know, I'll do my best to answer them but investigate Entech's solution and see if it'll work for you:

E90 / E51 (and other?) --Access point groups-- ar...

I‘ve seen that in the new E51 the Access point groups are gone.
In my (older) E70 the Access point groups are installed and they are GREAT.
It’s a pity, that they are gone, because you waste much money to your provider, and you lose connection-performance.
Now in the E90 and E51 (AND PERHAPS IN THE UPCOMING PHONES) the possibility of building groups is not available.
It’s a shame for a business Phone.
You don’t know, what “Access point groups” are?
Here the explanation of the E70’s manual:
Email data roaming
Access point groups.
Your device allows roaming between wireless access technologies, such as WLAN and GPRS, for e-mail. For example, you can
start an e-mail session at home and continue the session on your way to work. While your session continues uninterrupted,
your handheld device switches from WLAN to GPRS and back to WLAN when you arrive at your workplace.
In result: You have a quick and free connection at home (Wifi), you go outside, the phone switches automatically to e.g GPRS, you come in the office, the phone switches automatically to your company’s WIFI.. etc.

I would like to know whether is possible to access a CAN database, which is uploaded through MAX, in labview.
More specifically, I have uploaded my CAN database in MAX and I want to have access to each specific channel in labview.
i.e according to picture, I would like to have access to n_Motor_InsRpm channel of E1_L0_1 (motor speed) in Labview, so I can set and transmit a speed value through CAN. Could that be possible with NI USB 8473 s? If yes, is there any simple example in Labview ?

No Longer Possible to Access iCloud Mail on Third Party Mac

Something has changed recently. It is no longer possible to access iCloud mail on a third party mac via web browser
This afternoon, I tried to do so on my daughter's iMac - and the system wanted me to set up iCloud rather than letting me access Mail (or any other iCloud services for that matter) instead. Tried different browsers, change of login account on the computer. All to no avail. Have to set up iCloud on the computer. Which means either logging my daughter out, or creating a whole new identity for the purpose. This entirely defeats the notion of the simple webmail interface - and indeed makes Pages, Calendar, etc inaccessible unless on your own computer, or one that you have used to set up an iCloud account. Not something that you want to do in an internet cafe or an airport lounge.
Two sets of Chat Support sessions later, with the problem being hinted to be probably due to "my daughter's computer (!!???)", no satisfaction
I am now in the airport, trying to still access my iCloud mail through a web browser. Same nonsense about setting up iCloud before I can access my iCloud mail via the web through a browser.
Apple, this was one of the advantages of iCloud that I, as a regular traveller, have found useful in the past. Today I have wasted well over an hour on something that is clearly an error in the logic of how people will be using iCloud - possibly a "feature" of Mavericks?
Please bring back simple and straightforward access to iCloud mail via web browser, so that I can once again access my mail from any third party computer.

If you know where the page is at, I myself don't see any reason why you can't access it.
The only thing I could think was if Livejournal.com had a lock on the page or if you had to sign-in and your u/n and p/w had expired.
I'd say go ahead and at least try.

No, Lightroom catalogs cannot be on a networked (shared) drive, and they do not support simultaneous multi-user access

Possible to access existing PrE 8 projects with new full PrE 10 install?

The functionality of my PrE 8 has deteriorated to the point it where it will barely run without crashing. When I first started using it last spring, it never crashed but now crashes repeatedly, usually at the end of a few hours of work (auto save every 5 minutes but somehow that doesn't work either). I suspect memory leaks (low resources-how can this program need 3 or 4 GB to run?) amongst many other problems. I have all updates and a video driver that Sony VAIO says is current.
I have numerous projects that I really need to complete so rather than spend countless hours chasing down all the possible fixes, I'm just going to surrender, give Adobe the ransome, and get PrE 10 and hope it's better, which seems doubtful.
I got my computer used with PrE 8 already installed but have no disks or serial number so that seems to preclude upgrading. After searching, it looks like not a problem to install a new full PrE 10 alongside my existing PrE 8 but I'm still unclear on if I will be able to access any of my projects in progress with PrE 8. Is there a way to save them or export them? Is the 64 bit PrE 10 going to be incompatible with my 32 bit PrE 8 projects?
If I won't be able to somehow access my exising projects and have to start over, that will be a big deterrent to getting PrE 10. I really think the 64 bit PrE 10 will make more efficient use of my system resources, but if I'm going to have to start over, I think the 32 bit Sony Movie Sudio would probably run better on this computer or maybe even the Cyberlink 64 bit will be better.

The older Projects may, or may not Open in PrE 10. Much will depend on the complexity of the Projects, themselves. Only a test of the Projects will tell you whether they Open fine, with no problems.
I would work from Copies of the PREL files, just to make sure that the earlier versions' PREL's are safe.
Now, if you are having problems with PrE 8, it could well be that you will have the same issues with PrE 10, though most users DO find PrE 10 to be more stable, and especially than PrE 8, which was not a "revered" version.
This ARTICLE might be useful in helping sort out the problems with PrE 8, and would also be worthwhile keeping around, just in case you also encounter issues with it. That article starts with a checklist of things to get PrE to work best, then goes into OS and system tuneup tips, and finally lists many links for troubleshooting, working up in "degree of difficulty."

You can block a sales order for a sales area. Now you are grouping your customers in two groups regardless of sales areas i believe. If not, you can do it by blocking the order type for that sales area.
But if you are grouping your cust regardless of sales area, then i think you will have to look for a user exit at create order(va01) and check for the relevant group(from the cust master)when u enter the customer. if it satisfies the condition then allow to proceed otherwise prohibit from further processing giving the relevant error msg saying" Customers with group say X cannot be used for order type say OR"

Is it possible to prevent a group of users be added into other groups?

We have a admin group named "app admin" which has full privileges to a target OU "ou=apps,ou=services,dc=xxx,dc=com".
And we are looking for solution to prevent members in the admin group putting their own account or group members into the target OU.
Tried the aci with "deny self write", but it only prevents admin user put their own DN into the target OU.
And they still can add their group members into the target OU.
Just wondering is it possible to prevent a group of users be added into the target OU while they still can add/delete/modify normal users into the target OU?
The version of our Directory Server is 6.3.1.
