  • Is it possible to add a caption on each photo of my album ? Thank u

    Hello,
Is it possible to add a caption on each photo of my album Iphoto ? Thank you for your help.

By album do you mean a book? If you mean a book then the answer is only if you use the one theme that provides a text box for each photo, Folio, which only has a 2 photos per page layout.
If you want to add text directly on the photo you would need to use a 3rd party image editor or a watermark application.
Some Image Editors that support  layers:
    Photoshop Elements 9 for Mac - $79
    Rainbow Painter - $30
    Imagerie - $38
    Acorn - $50
    Pixelmator - $60
    Seashore - Free
    Portraits and Prints - Free
    GIMP for Mac - Free
For watermarking apps go to MacUpdate.com and search for "watermark" to get a list of possible candidates.

  • How do I add a watermark to my photo's

How do I add a watermark to my photo's?

iPhoto has no built-in feature to watermark photos.
You can do it in an external editor, that allows graphics compositing or install the very useful plugin "BorderFX" (donation ware).  You can download it here:   BorderFX - iBorderFX iPhoto
This plug-in will allow you to add a watermark and other annotaions to a photo, when you export the photo from iPhoto.

  • Can I use Photoshop Elements 10 to "add" digimarc watermarks into my photos?

Can I use my Photoshop Elements 10 to "add" digimarc watermarks to my photos? It is only providing the option to "read" digimarcs. Can I somehow add a digimarc embedder to Photoshop Elements?

Yes, as an PSE10 user you qualify for the free embedding plug-in.  Of course, the features of the free version are more limited than the purchased version:

  • Possible to add a watermark across sections?

    Hello,
I have a document with many sections.
I'm trying to add a watermark to all sections, but the option under format/advanced only allows "add to section master"
Is there a way to add a watermark to all sections, so I don't have to go one by one pasting it?
    Thanks,
    Pedro

    Hi Jerry,
Yes, it is reasonable to assume that. In fact, it's an obligation in the part of the desinger to assume the reasonable, and then the unreasonable. For a product geared to the open market, to whoever decides to buy it (old, young, male, female, American, Asian, European, Middle Eastern, with a PhD or without schooling...) it is a mistake of humangous proportions to force a user to work in the order of events that a designer believes to be logical. Why must a watermark be set only at the beginning, during the planning stage? Particularly when headers and footers can change at any time, across sections.
You have the perfect example in front of you. Two different people with two opposite views of the logical.
Forgive me for writing like this. It is intended for Apple more than anything else

  • Is it possible to add the date to a photo in an iPhoto calendar?

After a picture is dragged to a day on my calendar the date disappears, is it possible to add or restore the date? I am using the latest update of iPhoto.

The photo in the calendar replaces the date. You can ctrl-click the photo and add a caption to show the day number.
Clicking the disclosure triangle to the right of the caption will show a panel where you can edit the font (all this tested in iPhoto 9.5.1), but it does look funny, you'd be better off by not adding the day number:

  • How do I add a watermark to my photo in Elements 8?

Please give me step by step instructions on how to add a watermark in Elements 8
    Thanks

In Editor, go to File>process multiple files, and on the right there is an option under "Labels" for Watermark. You need to have the files in a source folder, and point to a destination folder.
Another option is to use the Horizontal or Vertical type tool, then type the watermark information in the font & color of choice. It will be on its own layer, and can be positioned with the move tool.
A third option is to make a watermark or signature brush which can be applied efficiently to multiple files.

  • How to add a watermark in new Photos app

Is there an easy way to add a watermark in the new Photos app?

In iPhoto you could install the plug-in Border-FX.  That will let you batch export watermarked photos from iPhoto with several styles of watermarks, annotations, and borders.
If you still have iPhoto, consider to install his plug-in and use iPhoto for water marking.  BorderFX - iBorderFX iPhoto

  • Is there anyway to add a watermark to my photo in iPhoto?

Or, do I have to use another photo editing software for this? I could do this in PSE, but would find it easier to do directly in iPhoto. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can use PSE from within iPhoto as follows:
Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements 6 the Saving File preferences should be configured: "On First Save: Save Over Current File". Also I suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds

  • How do you put a watermark on a photo in Elements 12

I have been trying to add a watermark to my photos in Elements 12 for at least a week now. I have looked at different discussion boards and tried to follow those directions with no luck. I am truly hoping someone will see this and be able to give me the proper information I need to add a watermark to my photo's so I can add them to the internet and be able to give them out to friends and family.
I have had this program since January of this year and have had a hard time learning how to use it. I am not saying I do not like it, I am just saying it is frustrating when I am trying to do something on a photo, it either takes me a while to find what I am looking for or I can not do what I would like because I can not figure it out.
I did try to follow two different links I found in discussion boards about watermarks for elements 12 and neither one helped.
        http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/getting-started/add-watermark-photos.html
         http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/851/cpsid_85114.html
I do not know what else to do, Can someone please help me and give me the proper information I need to add the watermark to my photos? I will greatly appreaciate it

Which step of the first link you posted is giving you trouble?
    Open the photos in Editor.
    Click Expert.
Select File > Process Multiple Files.
From the Process Files From drop-down list, select Opened Files.
Browse and select the folder in which you want to save the photos after the watermark is added.   Note: The watermark that you add using this method is permanent. So specify a folder other the folder in which your original photos are stored.
Click the drop-down list in the Labels area and select Watermark.
Specify the text that you want to display as the watermark. For example, you can specify your name.
Select the position, for example, Bottom Right.
Select a font according to your preference.
    Specify the font size.
Note: The font size depends on the dimensions of the photo. Photos of larger dimensions require the watermark to be in a large font.
Adjust the opacity and choose a color of your choice.
    Click OK.
To view the changes, open the photos from the folder you specified.

  • Add saved Watermark to Document

    Hello!
I would like to use the SDK to write an application that adds watermarks to given PDF-Documents. The Acrobat-Version is 9.3. The watermarks are already saved in the Acrobat installation as "saved settings" (userprofile\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Preferences\Watermark\...xml). I've found the functions addWatermarkFromFile (which accepts PDF-Documents) and addWatermarkFromText, but I can't find an option to use a "saved watermark". Is this even possible?
    Thanks in advance!
    Alex

Thanks for the reply. IMO it would make sense!
I've already thougth about that solution. The saved settings are stored in an XML-File, so I can easily parse that files and use the watermarkFromText-function to add the watermark. Probably the same procedure as Acrobat itself does it.
    Kind regards
    Alex

You will need to use a 3rd party image editor, Preview or a watermarking application.  3rd party editors can be configured to work from inside iPhoto as can Preview.  Preview can add text via its Annotation capability and is alread on your Mac.
