Is it possible to add or overlay text on an image to be used in a slideshow in Aperture v3.2.2? If so how? Thanks.

Stage 7: Titling and Adding Text to the Slideshow
Add a title to your slideshow using the titling controls. Insert a blank slide at the beginning of the movie to display your title. You can also use blank slides to act as chapter dividers. Add text to individual slides where appropriate.

  • Is it possible to add Audio on Demand to an image in Captivate 7 QUIZ for html 5 output in web browsers?

We are trying to do a simple HEAR IT - SELECT IT type 'quiz' in Captivate 7 for an indigenous language project.  Our target output is html 5 to web browser.
We have used the multiple choice question mode and have inserted IMAGES in place of text (although we left the question numbers visible)
The user should be able to click on a speaker icon to hear the audio file (as many times as they choose)  and then select the correct image answer.
ALSO -  Is it possible to add sound effects for a correct or incorrect quiz answer?
    Thanks

Attaching audio could be done to the Success/Failure captions, rather easily. You can put a shape button on a question slide, other interactive objects are not possible (Buttons on Question/Score Slides in Captivate 6? - Captivate blog). And have that shape button pause before the pause of the question slide. Use an advanced action with the Statement 'Play audio'. Don't use a simple action, because it will release the play head: Why choose Standard over Simple action? - Captivate blog
User will then be able to click that shape button as many times as he wants, because the play head will remain at the pausing point. When he Submits the question, the two step process will use the pausing point of the Question slide: Question Question Slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

  • Is it possible to add things to an iPad or iPhone without the use of iTunes?

My intention is travelling abroad for a year or two, and I don't want to take a laptop because it is too big and heavy.  I have my iPhone, but I'm trying to decide if an iPad would be useful too.  The problem is - because I wont have a computer with me, I wont have iTunes to add books/movies/music to either device.  Is it possible to add stuff from any computer, and not a computer where my iTunes is set up?  If the computer that I use (belonging to someone else) has iTunes on it, will my iPhone/iPad automatically try to connect and sync with that?
    Thanks
    Karyn

You can purchase and download content directly onto the device from the iTunes and App stores already on it.
You can use cloud storage (iCloud for apps that support it, or dropbox, box.net. google drive, sugarsync, 4share, etc) to move files to and from individual apps (things like pdfs, your own notes and so on).
You only need iTunes to backup really (although that is a very vital thing to do regularly, with any device)
However, to use a given store, you must have payment information and a billing address in that country associated with your AppleID.  You cannot shop in a country foreign to your payment and billing address information.  And your home store may very well be blocked (by IP address) when attempting to access it from a foreign location.

  • How to: Add Conistent Overlay/Text On Top of Picture Slideshow

Hello everyone - am fairly new to Keynote. I'm sure there is an easy way to do this just not sure how ...
I am putting together a picture slideshow as part of a presentation I am doing ... have a lot of pictures to cycle through ... maybe 100 ... anyhow, it is very easy to add all the pictures by dragging and dropping them and also to change all the transitions and timing at once ... it is a cinch!
However, I am struggling with a way to overlay a title/text on top of ALL the images (same logo/text for all of them). I have played around with creating my own "Master Slide" that has the text I want to display, however, the image always covers/blocks the text ... I noticed that I can enable something like "allow master slide to interact with the layers of the other slide material", however, I have to manually click each picture and "Send to the Back" in order to see my text/logo. This is a pain!
Is there an easier way to do this ?
    Thanks,
    Damon

In my experience, if you use a text box on a master and it's set to be a placeholder (or it's the actual Body box of the slide), then you put a media placeholder (photo placeholder) on the master slide, while the master will NOT let you put the text in front of the placeholder, on any actual slides that you make that use that master, the text shows up in FRONT of the placeholder. I put a placeholder on a slide and wanted it behind the bullets. It doesn't look that way on the master, but when you make a slide from it, sure enough, the photo is behind the bullet box.

  • Overlaying text, shapes to images

I'm editing together pieces of a presentation that include screen captures of activity on my PC. I need to overlay hollow rectangles, ovals, and arrows at various points to highlight different regions of the screen. I've found how to add one rectangle--of solid color that blocks the area I'm trying to highlight--or one text string. But adding multiple rectangles and strings and easily moving them around to properly align with the underlying images has been tough.
Where can I get some help on out to do this with FCE? I'm a recent convert from Windows/Premiere where I found this to be a very easy process. Surely I'm missing something in this new environment.

Unfortunately, I don't own Photoshop for the Mac.
But let's say that I buy it...or at least a cheaper version. And I create a bunch of hollow rectangles of various sizes that I can use to box important text or regions of my screen. How do I go about placing these multiple items on top of my video and sizing them to enclose the right areas? Are there any books or online material that can help me out with this?

  • Trying to overlay text onto images and save them.

What I want: I have a computer running the media in my car and I want to hook up a camera to it that'll record when the computer is running and overlay the GPS speed onto the video for later viewing.
What I got: I have the following piece of code that saves a series of .jpg images at a specified frame rate and a separate Java application that puts them together into a .mov file to view later. I couldn't find anything to record the straight video so if you have any links for that, please point me. But for now I'll settle for doing it this way and I'm not too concerned with the GPS speed NMEA parsing for now, I'll just use a static speed label until I get the overlaying working.
What I need: I need to know what to plug into the speedOverlay() method in order to grab the image and put the speed on top of it before saving it and moving to the next image. Any ideas?

Sorry guys, I haven't looked at your links yet but I will, once I get some time to sit down and code again. I just wanted to provide this piece of code that uses the Graphics2d you're talking about to overlay text onto an image but I haven't been able to plug it into my code at all. If you're links answer the question, I'm sorry, just providing it until I can actually sit down and spend time on the research you've given me. Thanks.

Hello there. I really looking for an answer to this. I want my users can add their own texts on an image in my website. I find this feature in some design sites. Please respond, i really want to handle this. Thanks.

    Hi Peren,
I am afraid that this is not possible in Muse at this stage, I will recommend that you post this on our ideas section over here, https://forums.adobe.com/community/muse/ideas, and let our devs team know of this requirement.

  • Aperture newbie, is it possible to overlay text onto a photo?

Aperture newbie, is it possible to overlay text onto a photo?

Not from Aperture. But there is a free plugin named BorderFX. With this tool you can add text to photos easily.
    The option of BorderFX are:
    Add multiple borders.
Borders can be bevelled, or shaded to create more realistic frames.
    Add Titles, Copyright & Metadata.
Add a Watermark to your images.
Save images back into the Aperture Library, using the BorderFX Edit plugin.
Position text anywhere on the photo.
Add any number of text boxes to the photo.
Support for ColorSync and ICC profiles.
    Aperture 3, 64-bit support.

  • Is it possible to add text field in condition type in PO?

    Dear Guru,
Please kindly advice. Is it possible to add text field in condition type?
I mean I have seen condition type "FRB1" Freight value in the condition detail we can input vendor code.
So I would like to know is it possible to add text field in condition detail and how to set it up.
    Thank you very much.

We would like to maintain some text in condition because of we would like to get that text to PO print out and we don't want to do enhancement.
    Ex: Condition Type: ZZZZ  Insurance
    PO Print out show
Item No.          Desc                                                  Qty  Unit Price  Amount
    10                 Item description                                  10000   10         100000

Do you want to write it directly onto the image? Then install and use the free BorderFX plug-in for Aperture. It will let you write text annotations directly onto the image or onto a border.

  • Is it possible to add or change OCR text in a batch process?

    Hello,
This is my first submission.  Really hope you can help as if there's a solution to this it will significantly help our business.
Is it possible to 'batch process' the adding or changing of OCR text in a PDF?
This might sound like a strange process but let me explain what we do:
    1. We scan old, handwritten books and registers.  Typically these registers contain lists of information. Each page will be scanned to a filename like pge01.jpg, pge02.jpg, pge03.jpg etc.
    2. We transcribe the content of each page.  Each page will contain mulitple records (i.e. 20 records)  typical fields might be:
    Unique ID
    Surname
    Forename
    Year
    Address
    Filename (i.e. pge02.jpg)
    3. We provide this content back within database driven software so that when a user performs a search on say 'Surname=Jones' & 'Year=1945' then all of the scanned pages that match that contains handwritten text that matches that search criteria is displayed in a list.  The user can then click on a search result and see the scanned page containing that record.
Rather than provide database driven software, we'd simply like to produce a standard PDF file.  Each page within the PDF will show each of the scanned pages (pge01.jpg, pge02.jpg, pge03.jpg etc.).  But where you would normally store the 'ocr recognised text' behind each image, we would like to show our transcribed content.
If this is possible, then I realise that it's likely that you can't do field searches (i.e. 'Surname=Jones' & 'Year=1945') but at the very least I'd be able to type 'Jones' in to the search box and it would find all pages that contained the transcribed word 'jones'.
If it's possible to add the transcribed data as 'ocrd text' then is it possible to do it in some sort of batch process?  We scan lots of big books and capture millions of records - so doing it manually is not an option.
Any help that anyone can provide will be hugely appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Paul

I don't think it's possible to manually add OCRd text, but you can add form
fields with the text in them. And yes, it is possible to search the content
of form fields, using a script.

  • Is it possible to add new columns with format "Text" once a table is linked to a form

Is it possible to add new columns with format "Text" once a table is linked to a form in Numbers for iPhone or is it impossible and thus a serious bug?(Rating stars and numeric vales seem to work.)
Those bugs happen both for new speadsheets as well as existing onces, like the demo. When you are in the form only the numeric keyboard shows up.
Pat from the Apple Store Rosenstrasse/Germany approved that it looks like a Bug during the Numbers Workshop I was in: It is not possible to add new columns with format "Text". I reported the error for Version 1.4 but there is no update nor do I get statement of understanding the issue.

    Hi Knochenhort,
I see what you are talking about now. Without knowing how the program actually works, I think this is what's going on:
When you add a new column to an already existing table (with already existing formats), the new cells come already formatted like the previous column. So when you add a column to the end of the demo table, the cells are already formatted like stars, and when you add a column to the beginning, they're already formatted like number.
I think this is why it's different when if you add columns to a table with blank (unformatted) columns. In that case, the new cells aren't already "tainted" with a set format, so you can change to text format without issue.
It seems like the problem is that you can't format cells that are already formatted as "number" as "text" format (even if it doesn't look like they are, because they are blank). IMO, this is a bug! This is why you don't see this issue when adding columns to a new table, because the new cells don't already come with a format.
To workaround, you can highlight the body cells after adding the new column, and delete the cells. This will "clear" the formatting, so you can then go in the inspector, format them as text, and the correct keyboard will pop up.
    Hope that helps!
