Is it possible to add WLAN-MiniPCI-Module to Satellite Pro 4300?

Hi,
I've got a Satellite Pro 4300 and I want to add a WLAN-MiniPCI-Module. Is this possible and is someone able to give some details where to add this module e.g. some technical documentation in pictures.
Greetings
Florian

You can't upgrade the Sat Pro 43XX Series with an internal Mini PCI Wlan Card.
Only USB or PCMCIA solutions are capable.

  • Strange issue with memory module in Sat Pro 4300 series

I have a notebook Toshiba satellite pro 4300 series with 64MB Onboard + 64MB Module and I want to upgrade my memory to 320MB. I bought two ram of 128MB each. I removed the 64MB module and I put in the Slot (A) one of 128MB module but I saw that the total memory is of 128MB again.
I removed the module again and I put the second module into Slot (A) but I saw that the total memory is of 128MB again. After this I put the two modules into my notebook (Slot A and Slot B) but I see that the total memory is of 192MB.This means that it recognizes each module as 64MB and not as 128MB. Dose anybody know why this happens?
And what do I have to do to fix it?
    Thanks.

This would be correct if the modules where indeed 64MB. The mother board has 64MB of memory already fitted directly to it so if you leave out the expansion modules the system still see 64MB. By fitted any one of the modules you have will add another 64MB making 128MB and so by fitting the second module will thus give you 192MB which is exactly what you getting.
Therefore you have almost certainly been sold the incorrect modules, 64MB instead of the 128MB modules.

  • Cannot use WLAN connection with my Satellite Pro A100

    Toshiba Satellite Pro A100-830
    Netgear DG834G
Can not use wireless connection. While using "Config Free" to find wireless device the popup 'this connection is controlled by other software'. I do not know what it means and which software controls the connection. I have other laptop which is duly connected by wireless connection. I am ok with wired connection.
I do not know much about technicalities and thus seek help if any reader can.
    Thanks
    Kris

    >Can not use wireless connection. While using "Config Free" to find wireless device the popup 'this connection is controlled by other software'
You should not use the ConfigFree for the Wlan configuration but either the own Vista configuration options or the WLan configuration tool like Intel ProSet Utility or Atheros Clint Utility. It depends on the WLan card what utility can be used.
Intel card -> Intel ProSet Utility; Atheros WLan card -> Atheros Clint Utility
I assume the message +this connection is controlled by other software+ appears because one of the options mentioned above controls the WLan.

  • WXP WLAN Driver installation on Satellite Pro A200

    Hello,
I installed Windows XP SP2 for a customer on Satellite Pro A200 (PSAE7E) and installed after is talked to the German support hotline every driver like in the test-instal.txt but I don't get the Atheros WLAN card work.
It is an ar5bxb72 from Atheros, but no way.
I get every driver in that list working with the hardware but not the WLAN-card although I installed it like in the list.
Anybody got a hint for me?

    Hi dude
Are you sure the notebook was equipped with the Atheros WLan card? According to some information which I found in the internet, this notebook was delivered with Intel or Atheros WLan card!
I have checked the Toshiba page provides an Intel WLan drivers and Atheros Wireless Lan Client Manager. The Wireless Lan Client Manager is not the driver but only the tool which helps you configure your wireless network card and gives you more configuration options than the windows embedded configuration functions.
I would recommend downloading the WLan driver from this Toshiba WLan portal:
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
By the way; if you use XP on this Vista preinstalled notebook then you will have to update the BIOS to the XP version too!
    Greetings ;)

  • Cannot connect to wireless internet - WLAN card not installed - Satellite Pro M10

Hi, i have just been given a second hand toshiba satellite pro M10 and i have just rebuilt it and put windows xp home edition on it. What i would like to be able to do is to connect to my families wireless network so that i can get rid of all the cables on the floor. My laptop seems to think that there is no wireless card installed though. Now i had the same problem with the cable lan, but i went onto tosibas website and downloaded a patch and updated the driver in device manager. I am not able to do this with the wireless as there are no drivers to download for it and there is apparently no device for it in device manager. Could somebody please help me and tell me what to do and how i can download a patch or fix the problem. Thanks, Andrew Reid

  • Can i replace the WLan card on my Satellite Pro P750

I purchased my P750 to run wirelessly on our 5GHz (802.11a/n) frequency network.
Though I was informed it would work it does not. It appears that my hardware does not work on the "a" band.
My question is can the card be reaplaced or is it built into the board. If it is in built can an extermal wireless card be purchased to do the job?
Just in case you asked I have read the forums updated the drivers and enabled the "n" on the AdHoc advanced profile for my Atheros AR9002WB-1NG

    Hi
The Wlan card is connected to the miniPCI port on the motherboard and its possible to remove/disconnect the card.
But there could be still an compatibility issues between new device (Wlan chip) and the BIOS.
I read here in the forum that someone has replaced the Wlan card and finally the notebook didnt boot up due to the compatibility problems between the Wlan and BIOS.
So in your case I recommend using an external Wlan solution.
The WLan stick is easy in use and should be compatible with most systems.

  • WLAN not working on Satellite Pro A100

I originally thought this was a driver problem. WLAN switch is on, and I am getting no WLAN. Worse than that, there seems to be no hardware detected.
I've taken the panel off and the board is there, and I've reseated it. Any other ideas?

First of all you should check if the WLan card was recognized and can be found in the device manager! Check it under Network adapters.
If the WLan card isnt there and you see a yellow exclamation mark then you have to install a compatible WLan driver!
All Toshiba drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba European driver page and should functions!
But its very interesting to know if you use the Toshiba original preinstalled OS!?
If you use this OS and the Toshiba image then everything should run correctly!

  • Add and remove modules in Apache

Is it possible to add and remove modules within Apache (actually compile an relink Apache) with a source download form Apache.org (1.3.28?) and incorporate the necessery modules and configuration from Oracle?. I have looked for some kind of documentation for this, but ended up with nothing. Can anybody explain this?.

If you really understand apache and how oracle implements the apache server then yes you could add/remove modules if you have the source code from oracle. I dont think that you can download apache1.3.28 from apache.org and expect to use that source to build an executable that can plug into oracle.

  • Is it possible to add PERNR field to MIGO or MB1A transaction screens?

    Hi,
Ours is a service industry with @ 10000 employees and we have implemented SAP with MM & HR module. We issue uniforms to all the employees when they join (new Joinee) and again once in January every year as reissuance. We intend to keep size information in employee masters in HR along with station code, designation, department and cost centers.
At present we are using two fields goods recipient and unloading point to mention employee code and type of issue (new joinee or reissuance). This is because employee code (PERNR) field is not there in MIGO_GI screen or MB1A screen.
Is it possible to add PERNR field to any of these transaction screens?
If added then we can fetch the relevant information about issuance of information along with station code, designation, department in Z report.
If possible, then how it can be done?
    Thanks in advance,
    Satish

    Hi ,
as i understand we can add new fields in a transaction through user exit /field exit. so please discuss with your ABAP consultant & try to find out all the exit available for MIGO/ MB1A. then you have to decide which one will suit you. here you have to consider some factors like whether you need to enter values in the field or the field needs to fatch any value from any other table & should populate here.
the ABAPer can then write the code & add your required logic here.
i am not very good in this subject. just tried to share what ever i knew.

  • Is it possible to add a target amount to a query

If I have a number being disagregated by Cost Center is it possible to add a target amount on a cost center level? I know we could add an attribute to Cost Center that hold a value for this target, but that could not be used in calculations or be shown in chart compared to the actuals. Does this have to be added to the cube as a Key Figure or is there an easier way?

    Hi.
You can use IP module to enter/update target KF.

  • Is it possible to call Normal function Module from WD4A , Not RFCs

Is it possible to call Normal function Module(FM) from WebDynPro for ABAP , Not RFCs

There is no difference, unless you are specifically calling the RFC to connect to another system. If so, then you need to add the DESTINATION keyword to the function call and specify the destination name. This name must be defined in SM59.  But, if you are not going to another system, you can call the RFC the same way you call the regular function module.

  • I am wondering if it is possible to add the greek language in the spelling tool

I am wondering if it is possible to add the greek language in the spelling tool of iPages
    Thank you in advance

Mac OS X uses the OpenOffice spell modules, so download the spell dic from OO site, you will get a file of the type name.oxt, change extension to .zip, confirm, then move the Library/spelling the two files named .aff and .dic. Then, go to Pages or any other cocoa app (TextEdit etc.) and choose Greek as spell language. See attachment.
