Is there a way to permanently change the contacts template so I don't have to change the field for each contact I enter?

As far as I know, yes, you have to add the field every time. Maybe somebody else knows a trick or workaround that will allow you to do this, but I have never seen a way to lock in a template that you can use later. There is no option to save the fields for another entry.

How can I synch ONLY the default 'contacts' folder in Outlook 2003?

I am using Outlook 2003 SP3. In my 'contacts' menu I have 3 folders: 'Contacts', 'iPhone' and 'Old.' I created 'iPhone' and 'Old' folders and 'Contacts' was the default folder. When I synch my 3G iPhone with Outlook I want to synch ONLY the default 'contacts' folder. But I can't seem to do this. My options are to synch all folders or a selection of non-default folders (i.e., anything but 'Contacts.')
Does this make sense? I don't want to synch anything in the 'old' folder to my iphone. But I also don't want to move all of my current contacts to a special folder just so I can synch only these items.
So when I synch my iPhone I want it to limit the synching to only the default 'contacts' folder.
Is there a way to do this?

Open one of the folders that keeps changing. Set it to the view mode you prefer. Press Command-J (Show View Options in View menu).
At the top of the View Options screen is an item which allows one to set "Always open in xxx view". Chekmark that.
Repeat for each folder you want.
This is a per-folder setting. Note that the View Options screen is 'live" - you can leave it open, and as you open successive folders it will display the settings for each in turn.

I'm currently working to take a 128 page catalog that was created in InDesign for print and turn it into a interactive PDF to post on our companies website. The catalog contains thousands of part numbers and I'd like to link each one to its corresponding stock status page on our website that gives current availability and pricing for any particular customer.
So say I'm dealing with part number "XXXX". When I go to add the hyperlink the default web address it spits out is " http://XXXX ". Instead of that, would it be possible to change the default to " http://forums.adobe.com/discussion/XXXX/1 ". Obviously I just used this website as an example, but it would save so much time if I could avoid having to type the exact same URL every time.
Or maybe is there a quicker way to do this other than what I am currently trying?

The simple way is via the Internationalization settings via ARD or RDP or Screen Sharing, either via System Preferences or (if enabled) via the menu bar. If you're looking for a lower-level approach, there's not AFAIK a direct command for this. The defaults.plist file in the Safari package will not let you do anything that you can't already do with the user's com.apple.Safari.plist file, so there is no point in changing the defaults.plist file
I think you're misunderstanding the OP
The OP is saying that if they reset Safari, or it loses it's settings (as he referred to in first post) to some issue with XP/Boot Camp then they'd like the default settings used by Safari to be those that got blown away (for whatever reason that may be)
By changing the defaults in Safari they won't have to go through having to set them all up again, as the defaults will now be their preferred setup anyway.
Anyhoo, KingRichard I think you can do it if you really want, but it might make more sense to figure out why your settings keep getting removed

I'm SAP Basis guy, I've been asked by our functional team if it would be possible to change the default spool request title.
Our endusers have access to transaction SP01, where every morning, they can see the spools request that have been generated during the execution of night batches.
Currently, the default spool name is displayed :
Title or name of spool request LIST1S LOCL ZREPORTSUFFIX (in transactions sm37 and sp01)
Is it possible to change the default name of this spool request with some abap coding ?

goto transaction SPAD and change the default values as you require but i doubt whether you would be able to change the spool title after the job has been triggered i think it is nt possible
but for further requests you can change it from SPAD

Here's the solution I used to solve the same problem. If you're not comfortable editing the source files, this might be more than you want to take on--but I've done it to several files with no ill effects. A warning about editing the Master pages--it only edits them in that book--it doesn't update the theme. So if you go to create another book with those same layouts, you'll have to duplicate the book and replace all the images. An alternative would be to create a "clean" book with no photos in it and then just use that as a starting point each time.

I thought to put everything into subforms and hide it, appearing if another button is clicked and hiding the original subform. Might look ugly on programmers sight, but as long as it'd work, I'd "live" with it ;)

I am not sure that you can get the language setting of the machine in your script or not. If not you may have to have th euser indicate which language they want. Once that is done then you can change all of the strings programmatically from a technical perspective anyways.
Depending on the complexity of the form, you may find a point where it will affect the performance of the form. I have seen cases where changing the language can take 5-10 seconds to complete. Also you run into issues with space where as I change a caption a word in English takes 2 mm but the same word in French takes 5 mm. So you have to design the form for the worst case. This is no so bad if the form is simple but the more complex the form the more difficult this becomes.
In many cases people will create an xml file for all language strings and merge the xml data onto the form. There are advanced binding properties that can bind the XML to the caption of a field and thus no coding is required. This is useful if you have LiveCycle server products because you can render these forms (with a language file) on demand. If you are trying to do this with a stand alone PDF (no rendering on the server) then you have no choice but to do it via script.

I did a rough mix and now cannot change the song as the tracks that were a part of the rough mix seem to remain in the song even though I mute the tracks for a new mix. For instance, I played and recorded a different bass line. Muted the original, but when trying to create the new mix I can hear the original bass line even though I have muted that track. It seems to remain in the previous master (default) track. Please send help. Thank you.

Before answering your question, you have to make sure you understand the difference between the different track types in GarageBand.
Tracks, you record your music on
There are three types of those Tracks.
MIDI Tracks (aka Software Instrument Tracks)
Audio Tracks (aka Real Instrument Tracks)
Drummer Track (only one per Project)
Global Tracks
These are the Tracks that can be shown/hidden at the top of the Tracks Area for specific purposes.
Arrangement Track
Movie Track
Transposition Track
Tempo Track
Master Track
This Track can also be shown/hidden in the Tracks Area. Please note, you cannot delete that Track, only hide it, similar to the Global Tracks
Regarding the Tracks you record your music on, you can delete any of those. It doesn't matter if you created them or there are part of a Template (maybe that is what you refer to as the default track). Once you delete the last Track, the "New Track Window" will pop up to add a new track.
I will explain all that in much more detail in my manual "GarageBand X - How it Works".

Question regarding the default web template for queries

Hello,
I am trying to learn the default web template that is using for queries:
0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING70
I see that it's <bi:QUERY value="" /> is empty which is logic since the query will be inserted on runtime. My question is, where in the web template does it say that? I can't see any parameter it expects to get with the query's technical name not at the webtemplate code nor at the URL...

I think you are mixing things. The template you are mentioning is used for queries that are executed from the query designer. It's not a web template as any other one you create for your users. So, this web template has some parts in it's code that works with the query execution. When you run a query, the system takes the query definition (made in QD) and executes it with the web template indicated for the query. This determination is made by the program that is used to run queries. You can try using RSRT transaction to debug and check how this it's done. If you want to change the default web template used by query designer to run the queries, you should do it copying any standard template, like the one you mentioned. If you don't do it, you won't get the information correct.
