Is it possible to alter an incidents severity?

hi! we do have many hijacks on our mars due to the vss core. we do not want to disable hijacks on the ips systems completely - but to change the severity for hijacks from red to yellow would be very helpful. is this possible? thank you! kr michael

It is not possible to change the severity for firing incidents in CS-MARS as it is a calculated value based on details specific to the incident. If you are not wanting to receive IPS alerts for a specific network behavior, you may want to look into creating an event action filter (EAF) on the IPS sensor to remove the produce alert action (device-side tuning) or create a drop rule within CS-MARS to only log the event to the CS-MARS database and not generate an incident (appliance-side tuning).

I don't think there is any adjustment for that. The battery is under the trackpad. Did you have the HDD replaced at an Apple repair facility?
You may want to ask them to look at it and explain that it is harder press than before, maybe the battery is not nested correctly.

Need help with info about the possibility of altering images when saved in a different format

I am very new to the design world. I have a printing business and received and image to be printed in Adobe Acrobat (I think). I needed to resize the image to be printed and took it into Photoshop CS6 where I cropped the edges. I then resave it as a PDF and took into a printer software, Fiery. Fiery has an Impose function where you can repeat an image to layout it on the correct paper size. It essentially just copies the original image several times depending on the layout. This particular image I repeated to 3 up and 1 across. When printed it came out with a magenta streak through the center image only. I have had the machine checked and they are adamant it's not a printer issue but a software issue. That once I altered the original image by resizing it that I altered the image and that I can't expect it to come out as seen on the screen. I've printed it all sorts of different ways and it only occurs with the 3 up 1 across image. I know that images can be changed when saved from program to program but this situation does not make sense that it is only the one area and layout that this shows up. I would appreciate any help, input, answers that anyone has. Again, I'm new to this and would like to understand if this is a potential for further printing jobs so that I can do what I need to avoid this situation.

Without knowing how the original graphic was created it is hard to tell you how to handle it. What is the name of the file? (Only the file suffix is important). If the file's origin was in a drawing program and/Or InDesign, then the document should be handled differently if the document is a raster image best handled by a program like Photoshop.

Is it possible to alter button image transparency in a "Standard" menu?

Hello all,
A newbie to DVDSP 4.0 here. I've been given a project where I have to match a pre-existing menu and navigation design (the original files are not available for me to use). I have been able to recreate the design of the menus without any problems, but I've run into an issue with recreating button states. Each button includes both text and a still image.
This is what I'd like to accomplish:
Normal state: Text and image are semi-transparent
Selected state: Text is highlighted and the image is fully visible (the image no longer semi-transparent)
Activated state: Text is white and image is colorized in the highlight color

The normal state is straight forward, I have done this as part of my background. I have used an advanced overlay to get the results I need for the activated state.
Is it possible to reach my goal for the selected state without using a layered menu? I'd like stay away from layered menus if at all possible.

Now I see what you are saying, sorry I just saw the orange more than the background. There is no way to change the opacity of an element in the background (since she is in the background at a certain opacity that was used.)
So to have her be a different opactity OVER the other portions of the background which she is already part of, you would need to use layered menus to effectively replace the section. (You could try using auto actions to string through menus - which what layered menus are, but you can run into issues, not 100% reliable)
I keep on looking at it though, the colors sort of look like a puzzle even though I know it will not work. And still I keep looking One way is if you did not need the colors as much in the back ground, you make the background fully opaque (the blue and the woman.) The overlay would be the text and then the circle area including the curves underneath it and map it out that way, but would not be quite the same

Is it possible to alter a Color's RGB value ?

I'd like the Color references I'm using to stay referring to the same object when I change the color values. So ideally I'd like to change the RGB values of these Colors, since making new Color objects is obviously not what I want.
Neither Color nor ColorSpace have anything to offer, and googling hasn't turned up much.
I have to do it this way, because several classes all have their own reference to the Color, so creating a new Color for one reference won't change them all.
Any suggestions?

too.No-one else is working on my project mate ;o) And despite your sarcasm, you are right - there aren't any worries about Java classes I 'don't know of', since the colours I'm using are only read for rendering; nothing more. Every method I have that affects the colours deal with WebColor, so that's fine. Graphics.setColor(WebColor wc) works fine too, with my 'nasty hack', as you call it. So I'm more than happy, I assure you.

Is it possible to alter JDK version used by OAS?

I'm using OAS 101202 and am currently having issues deploying an ear file that's been built by java 1.5. OAS 101202 only uses java 1.4.2_06. When i deploy my ear file I get the following java incompatibility error
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/apache/struts2/dispatcher/FilterDispatcher (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
The version of struts we're using requires 1.5.
Is it possible to get 101202 working with 1.5?

I have some really bad experiences with changing the jdk version, but you can install one next to the AS and then do some config magic in server.xml (if I'm correct) to point to the new java compiler. For the exact syntax you have to search the docs though (it was something like javac-$RANDOM_WORD_I_FORGOT )

I am running SAP HANA 1.00.72.00.388670 in HANA Cloud. I am trying to migrate the data from SQL Server to SAP HANA.
The IDENTITY value support is enabled. I am trying to import data from csv file to a table.
The table has such structure:
     CREATE COLUMN TABLE "TEST_IMPORT" ("ID" integer NOT NULL primary key generated always as IDENTITY, "VALUE" real NULL);
The peace of data has such view:
ID,VALUE
1,1
2,2
3,3
4,4
5,5
6,6
7,7
8,8
When I start an import process it asks me to define the dependences, as it requires to point the columns from my datafile to columns in the table. Certainly I cannot link a "ID" field because it is generated automatically.
I`ve tried another example.
Created a table:
     CREATE COLUMN TABLE "TEST_IMPORT" ("ID" integer NOT NULL primary key, "VALUE" real NULL);
Imported data from previous example.
After I tried to alter the table to asign the IDENTITY property. However I`ve got an error:
     "Could not execute 'alter table "TEST_IMPORT" ALTER ("ID" integer NOT NULL primary key generated always as IDENTITY)' in 45 ms 753 µs .

Possible to alter email image attachment size interpretations?

I often have occasion to attach large images to emails. The pop-up in the lower right corner of email composer windows could be useful if it was more specific or if I could customize it.
It's "Large" setting usually either crunches images to be what I would consider small, or leaves them very close to the size I begin with, depending on how compressed my images are. Both "Medium" and "Small" virtually always make attachments far too tiny for my purposes.
If not a "standard" way of doing this, I wondered if anybody knows a way to alter what "Small", "Medium", and "Large" mean.

What those settings produce will depend upon the initial file you attach. What is the source of these files, and file type?

The purpose was to satisfy certain requirements of arabic text search. These seem to be fulfilled by WORLD LEXER, so the case is closed.
Note that BASIC and AUTO LEXER implement differently the lexing of arabic text, with result not to be candidates for such a solution.
By the way, I tried to use skipjoins for setting an ignorable character but it did not work (auto lexer).

Here is the effect I need.
Someone surfing the web.
I've built a website, uploaded it and it works great. The only problem is our legal department won't let the URL display my website. I have to display one that is not a registered domain.
Is there any way to display an alternate URL in the address bar? A fake one, so to speak?
This website will be displayed on a iPad tablet running safari.

No. You can't fool a browser into displaying a url that does not exist in the address bar. It must reference a page on a registered domain - or an ip address - but not a fake url. You could have a frame hosted at on one domain reference a page from another domain - but the source url is still not hidden. What exactly are you trying to do here?

Is there a way in Dreamweaver where I can change the default generated code when inserting an image to include this? The idea of adding this every single time I add an image to a page (and there are a lot of them) makes me cringe.

If you want it for every single image that you insert, you can edit Image.js in the Dreamweaver Configuration folder. On Windows 7, it's located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\configuration\Objects\Common. On Mac OS X, it will be in a similar location in the Applications folder.
Locate the following lines (45-49 in Dreamweaver CS5):

Can Thunderbird be set up to only view messages from a shared account, without having the possibility of altering the emails, folders of that account?

I have one account setup as POP3 on one laptop.
I want another user (supervisor) to be able to ONLY VIEW the emails (Inbox, Sent, Folders) from the first laptop.
I've set up the account as IMAP on the supervisor's laptop. The supervisor is not very tech-wise, so it happened in the past to read emails from that account (and forget to mark them as unread), send emails from the account (composing email while having selected the wrong account), even delete emails. Not to mention the fact that the mails would show up as read on the first laptop if they were read on the supervisor's laptop.
So i'm trying to find a way to have another user, checking the account as VIEW ONLY, without beeing able to affect the account itself.

Thunderbird knows nothing of "Read Only", which is not all that surprising for a personal mail client.
Perhaps you can do what you need using operating system controls on ownership and access to the files in the profile folder.
