Is it possible to always limit searches to iTunes Plus music?

I can't find a way to do this, but I may be doing something dumb. Is there a global setting in iTunes to say "Only ever show me music released as iTunes+ tracks?" (i.e. un-DRM-ed AAC)
Alternatively, is there a way to add a "Kind" field to iTunes music, so you can see which files are Protected AAC and which aren't?
Right now, I can't see any way to know, when I see a Buy button, what format I'd be buying...

If you use Power search, you can search only for iTunes Plus songs but that is not a preference for simply browsing thru the store.
I haven't looked since they announced the new deal so don't know if it's changed but previously, iTunes Plus songs had a Plus + sign next to the Buy button.

Hi, I've been doing some store searching with the 'Limit your search to iTunes Plus' checkbox ticked, and noticed an odd result where the search appears to return a standard (not 'Plus') album. Searching for the artist 'Kelley Polar' returns

which doesn't seem to be an iTunes Plus album - there is no mention of Plus, and the tracks are all £0.79 rather than £0.99 (this is on the UK store).

I've experienced the same plroblem with the "Limit your search to iTunes Plus" checkbox in the power search function. In fact, I performed a search without the checkbox, and then again with it, and the result set was significantly reduced. I enthusiastically purchased the selection I wanted that remained, only to realize I had been "tricked" into purchasing the 128Kbps DRM-encrusted version of the album.
Caveat emptor, and all, but this seems either an egregious error on the part of the iTunes store, or borderline fraudulent.

In the old Google toolbar, it was possible to view the search results in a new tab. Google toolbar is compatible with Firefox 7, so I have to use the Firefox Search Bar. However, it always gets the search results in the current tab. Can this be modified?

Yes. Open a new tab and type or paste ''about:config'' into the location bar, hit enter, and hit enter again to get past the warning. Then paste ''browser.search.openintab'' into the filter box that shows, then double-click on the ''browser.search.openintab'' line to toggle it (it will switch to bold).
If you'd rather an addon just do the above for you and add a menu option for it, try this:

Alternatively, you can type a search into the search bar and press ''alt+enter'' instead of just enter to open your search in a new tab.

How to limit search results to a single web

This is probably an easy one to figure out, but I wonder what the best way would be to limit search results from a single web - do you create a content source for that or is there a better way, one which you can configure for multiple search site collections?

In SharePoint 2013, we can create content resource for Search Service Application, site collection and site as below:

If you are using Search related web part, you could create content resource in site collection and build query to path=http://webapplication*. Then configure web part to use the specific content resource. Please check the link below, the link is for creating

However, I’d recommend you using property filter to limit search results to one web application. Please try the steps below:
Build your query.
Basics > query text, input path:http://sp:26* (this limit search results to web application sp:26)
Click test query and see if it return results.

According to your description, you want to retrieve the search results within the site collection.
As a workaround, you can create a custom result source for the site collection and you will retrieve the search result within the site collection.

Have a look at the NavBar component and the generic workcenter component. If you are lucky, they utilize one common method for navigation. I would try to put some custom coding in there and use it to open the new link inside a popup.
Never tried it before as the necessity never occured to me. Thus I can not help you any further. It is just an idea.
Maybe you get some good results and can post them here

How stupid is this design?! Unless you happen to be positioned the top of the displayed list (song, artist, album, etc.) there's no way you'd find the search (aka, spotlight) option.
Why not put the option in a non-scrollable area of the screen, so it's always visible?
As iOS 'evolves', it's interface seems to be becoming less intuitive. Sad.

No, it is not possible, but you can always download any video converter. Or open your AVI file with QuickTime.

Hi All...I'm using iTunes 7.0.1 on a MacBook Pro and wondering if there is a way to narrow the search criteria in the music library. For example, searching for a song title "Love," and wanting to see songs with only that word as the title, not songs in which the word is part of the title. Hi...You can restrict the search in the iTunes search window itself by entering a title and, for example, an artist. Entering "Love" and Ronstadt will give you all the songs in your library with "love" in the title and sung by Linda. But there does not seem to be a way to narrow a search by title alone--for example, wanting only songs with "Love" in the title, and not as part of a title.

Filtering app search for "itunes file sharing"

Is there a way to do a filtered search in itunes for apps that support itunes file sharing? Looking by trial and error has not been all that productive. I've found a couple useful apps that use the itunes file sharing: Phone Drive, and Quick Password Manager. I'd also like to find a decent spreadsheet app, that's smaller in size than the giant Apple apps--trying to retain room for some music.
I don't use the cloud or wi-fi, so itunes file sharing is very useful for transfering files, etc. And if there is a app or method for syncing between itunes file sharing and my mac, that would be a bonus.

Anything actually stored in iTunes, docs, apps, ect, should be backed up. If you are bacing up the iPad to iTunes, those back ups files would be in Time Capsule (although I confess, I've never had to extract one).
As for apps themselves, they can always be redownloaded (both on the iPad and in iTunes on the PC).
