Is it possible to attach an ACER T232HL Touch Screen Monitor to my MSI GS70 2PE Apache Pro?

Will the external monitor fully display the touch capability of Win 8 loaded in the notebook? Any tips on how to do it? Thanks in advance.

first of all it's called GS70 2PE and not Apache Pro xD secondly um you mean like a touch screen external monitor? or just normal external monitor? then it should support fully resolution yes by using fn + f2 if new monitor is giving black screen.

  • Possible to attach ethernet hub to AEBS?

    Dear All,
Does anyone know if it is possible to attach a (non-switching) ethernet hub to my 2009 (dual-antenna, 802.11n capable) Airport Extreme Base Station?  I've just wired my house up with Cat-5e and would like more than the three available ethernet ports, but want the AEBS to continue with all NAT/routing.  I'm reluctant to get involved with a second router and subnetwork, because in my experience that's a pain ...
    Thanks in advance,

I am not familiar with this particular device, but the link says that
This switch is a Plug & Play installation and no configuration is necessary.
So, if you take that at face value, the device is a switch.
The problem with this device is that you will lose performance. Your AirPort Exteme has 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN capability. The switch that you are looking at is only 10/100.
Suggest that you look for a 10/100/1000 or what is known as a Gigabit Ethernet switch. Netgear or Cisco products would be a very good choice.

Is it still possible to attach sticky notes to a pdf file? Which Adobe product do I need to do this?

Both Acrobat and Reader 10/11 can, and previous versions of Reader can if the document is enabled to allow it. Mobile versions of Reader can too.

I've got a Matrox Dual Head 2 Go hooked up to double 24" monitors on my 13" MBA as we speak (over MiniDisplay Port). So it'll absolutely work. Thunderbolt will allow you to daisy chain devices over a single outbound wire, whereas with the Matrox setup you have a rather large box that interfaces between the displays and the machine. That's what is doing the heavy lifting and allows two (and even three) external monitors over a single MiniDisplay Port.
Very glad to hear this.  Is this a Matrox Dual Head 2 Go DP Edition?  I have the Digital Edition (which has VGA in and DVIx2 out) and with my 2006 MBP, I was able to use the DVI-VGA adapter, and get two 19" external monitors at 1280x1024 each (total rez 2560x1024) to work just fine.
I just upgraded to the new 13" MBA and got a MiniDisplay Port -> VGA adapter, hoping it would just work. But it doesn't.  The resolutions that are in the drop-down are for the most part all single-screen resolutions.  If I choose 2048x768, both screens fire up, but 1024x768 looks fairly horrible and I'd rather do just the single screen at 1280x1024.  But I sure am missing two screens right now
    Thank for your help.

  • Is it possible to attach two 27 inch displays the new generation 17 inch MacPro?

Is it possible to attach two 24 inch displays to the new generation 17 inch Macbook Pro?

You can attach one monitor to the Thunderbolt port and the other to a USB port. At present the Thunderbolt port in and of itself can't support two monitors, and the one third-party box I know of that enables connecting two monitors to a mini-Displayport hasn't yet been updated for Thunderbolt compatibility. Here's the kind of adapter you'd need for the USB connection:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/VIDU2DVIA/
Note that the USB connection would be limited to a maximum of 2048 x 1152 resolution with that adapter (or less with many other USB adapters). That's enough for Apple's 24" LED display, if that's the one you were thinking of. USB's slowness also imposes performance limitations on USB-connected displays, so the one connected via Thunderbolt is the one you'd want to view any fast-action video or games on.
Oops, I've just noticed that you asked in your subject line about 27" displays and in the body of your query about 24" displays. The short answer with respect to 27" displays is no, you could only run one at its native resolution. You could add a 24" display via USB.

  • Is it possible to attach a sound effect to a photo?

    Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to attach an audio file sound effect to a photo i have in iphoto or any other application so that the file would play the sound when the photo is opened to view?
    Thanks Conor

    Conor
    Not with iPhoto, no.
You could make a slideshow in iMovie and attach the sound using that.

  • Is it possible to attach several DTraces to a single process?

    Hi,
Is it possible to attach dtrace to a single process twice or more times? (with different scripts)?
Each time I tried, it fails with the message
"failed to grab pid 13407: process is traced"
I ended up with two simplest scripts
    dtrace -n 'END { printf("BYE"); }' -p 13407
    dtrace -n 'BEGIN { printf("Hi there"); }' -p 13407
but they failed with the same message.
Does this mean that it is impossible to attach several scripts to a single process?
    Or do I misunderstand something?
    Thank you,
    Vladimir

    Hi Vladimir,
The documentation isn't very clear on this, but -p (and -c) "grab" the target process which means they take exclusive control of it like a debugger would. If you instead pass the pid as a script parameter and replace all $target with $1 (or whatever) dtrace doesn't "grab" and you can attach as many things as you want (including a debugger, though it's likely to blow up if you set a breakpoint in a function dtrace has messed with)

  • Is it possible to attach a hyperlink to BPF

    HI all,
As we all know its possible to attach reports, input schedules, data manager packages etc to the BPF step, similarly is it possible to attach a hyperlink to a BPF step ?
    Any idea on this?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anila Mohan

    Hi Anila,
We cannot attach a hyperlink directly to a step in BPF.
What we can do is to upload a webpage in the content library and then we can call the content library from the BPF.
    Hope this helps.
