Is it possible to attach an external template for online preview?

Hi All,
I need few details regarding BPA (Bill Presentment Architecture).
Here is the requirement.
User have around 30 different layouts based on few codes.
These layouts (report) should be available for online view in AR transaction forms.
I tried using the external template and execute but only print preview was enabled for the external template.
Is there any way to enable to online preview for external template.
Please help on this issue.

I am using an external drive in the exact way that you described. You just keep it plugged in to the computer when you want to access the movies and files. In order to put files on it, just go to finder open up the drive under devices and drag and drop files onto the drive. It is just like using a usb drive with a terabyte of space.

Hello Anmol, I have a similar requirement where I need mass generation of mappings using Salesforce Objects as a source. As per your instruction, I used cloud version of Mapping Architect of Vision and create a template with normal source and target and Application Source Qualifier. I also mentioned Salesforce as the database type. However, when importing into Informatica PowerCenter Designer, it shows all other sources except for Salesforce sources. Can you please help me out. Hi Munisekhar, Yes it is possible. In most cases it will be easier to create such a template directly in Visio. If you need to get the mapping from PowerCenter into Visio, make a copy of the original mapping and replace the Source, Target and ASQ (Application Source Qualifier that you link the source to) with a relational or a flat file source, target and SQ respectively. Then import it in Visio. Make sure to change the source, target and SQ again back to Salesforce specific objects. So when you import such a copy (that used relational or file objects) in Visio, do the following:1. Edit the source definition and change the Database Type to Salesforce2. Edit the target definition and change the Database Type to Salesforce3. Remove the object SQ (linked from source)4. Drag the ASQ object icon from the Informatica stencil and link it the same way the SQ was linked earlier. That should validate and work fine. Let me know if you still face any issues. Note: You might already be aware of this, but you use the standard SQ transform/object when you use a relational or flat file source, and use an ASQ transform/object when you use application sources like Salesforce. While doing this, make sure to retain your original mapping in PowerCenter so you can start from that again if you need to. Thanks and regards,Amol

We are using Informatica PowerCenter 9.1 HotFix 1 with PowerExchange for Salesforce.Do Cloud Mapping Designer requires seperate license? We do not have Informatica Cloud license.

External Mic for iMac G4/800

Is it possible to attach an external mic/headset combo on an iMac G4/800 (M8535ll/A). If so where is the mic input? Thanks, Ken.

and do not see an audio input mini-jack. If that model does not have one, you can add one using a USB device, such as the iMic from Griffin

However, you may want to contact Griffin to see if it will work with 10.3.x (as stated in your profile) and with USB 1.1 (the older slower type on that iMac model). The product description says 10.4 or later, but that may be for the included recording application, and not for the device itself. This product has been around since Mac OS X 10.3.

External Storage for iPad2 as Photo Backup on holiday

I have an iPad2 and I would like to use it on holidays to store, view and sort photos. Is it possible to attach an external storage to the iPad anyhow to backup the photos to a 2nd location? Something like the HyperDrive but bidirectional. No cloud solution possible because no internet available on holidays. Something like a wireless Harddrive?

G-Tech running at 7500 RPM? I thought it was 7200 RPM. Are you using a single external drive?
I like the idea of a RAID that is hot-swappable. But it can be pricey option too. Unfortunately Drobo appears to be a hit or miss in the dependability department. And the G-Technology 4TB G-RAID is a RAID 0 only which if I understand correctly your sacrificing reliability for speed. Has anyone had good experience with Western Digital 4TB My Book Studio II Hard Drive?
As I mentioned before, my IT person is trying to persuade me to get a simple single 2TB external for backup/storage. And another tech person suggested two external drives, one for Time Machine and the other for cloning of the boot drive. But the problems is I want to store my work on the external and not the internal drive. But there is no redundancy in that setup. So what are my other options?
I could get 2 x 2TB external drives. Is there a way to have one drive clone the other in the background and without any user intervention?

How to create bulk configuration files from a template for staging?

We have created a sample configuration for ISRG2 2901 Router. The sample configuration is long, and with copy/paste it is possible to skip some lines, and it is difficult to ensure the configuration of every device is standardized due to this error possibility. What we are trying to achieve is first create a template from this sample configuration file, and then create configuration files for each device seperately and automatically. After creating this configuration instances, we want to be able to distribute the configuration files (and possibly the ios) to the devices during the staging phase. Since there are about 1000 2901 routers, creating configuration files is important?
From searching we have found the following tools:
1) CCE (Cisco Configuration Engine): This tool seems to be very efficient for distributing the created configuration files. We may use the serial number of the device, and it provides almost zero touch provisioning of the configuration files to the devices. Creating the configuration file from the template seems to be manual, i.e enter the ip addresses of the interfaces, the routing tables one by one for each device. How can we use velocity template for device configs?
2) Ciscoworks LMS Prime: It is possible to create a baseline template for the devices, and after getting the backup configuration of the routers, it is possible to compare the actual configuration of the device with the baseline template, and understand if there is any difference with each other. This is indeed very useful in order to keep the configuration standardized, we again could not find a way to create bulk configuration files from the baseline template.
3) Solarwinds Config Generator: This tool is useful for creating a configuration file from a template, but again not for automatically creating configuration files, and needs manual intervention.
4) Excel Macro: It seems that some people have achived to automatically create configuration files with using an excel macro, but we could not find a procedure or tip of how to achieving this.
5) Pearl or TCL/TK Script: Again since we are not software developers but from networking field, it is difficult to achieve a working form of this scripts or codes due to to lack of documentation and development experience.
So our problem comes down to creating a template from a sample configuration, and creating bulk configuration files from the template. Is there a specific tool or procedure to achive this purpose?

DC30 - Templates for original files

Hello,
is it only possible to create and change templates for original files without transport?
I have one document type for templates which I want to use for different document types in DC30. I only want to create the templates (document type for templates) in production and do not want to use for every new version the customizing with transport order. As it is a production system without changes allowed, I cannot use DC30 direcly in production. Is there an other way without transport from developement? (Table TCZ02 directly is also not allowed).

External aerial for Time Capsule?

Simple question! Is it possible to get an external aerial for the Time Capsule? Reason: I have Time Capsule in my office but for some reason (thick walls?) there ia very little signal (1 bar on Airport sacnner) outside that room and my wife works on her MacBook Pro in another room. Would an external aerial (with about a 3m lead) placed outside the room solve the problem or would we be better off with Airport Express to extend the range? If an aerial what and where from? Ta very much

1) QuickerTek's Dualy Extreme. This product would provide an external antenna for the Time Capsule (TC).
2) hField Technologies' Wi-Fire. This product would be an external antenna for the MacBook, or as you have mentioned:

External URL for a webform

Use ANY web template for a theme?

is it possible to use ANY web template (for ex from template monster) and make it a theme in iweb in which everything still stays connected together?
Rather than just searching for exact "iweb themes"? cause they all look super generic.

No, you can't unless they were designed for iWeb and come with an installer. If you want something more unique start with a blank white or black theme page and build your own.

Different format template for each amount column?

Is it possible to assign diffrent format template for each amount column in Excel workbooks?
I'll explain a bit more specific.
Suppose there's a BW report to Excel as below.
      column1   column2   column3
row1 111,111   222,222   333,333
row2 111,111   222,222   333,333
row3 111,111   222,222   333,333
All columns are amounts, so the assigned format templates are all 'SAPBEXstdData'. Here, the needs is that each column have the format of their own, such as 'Centered, large font size, bold, red color, etc'.
I found out in SAP help portal that I can create workbook templates which include custom format templates, such as OurColumn1Template. I also found I can use the workbook templates when opening BW queries. But it doesn't seem possible to automatically specify format template OurColumn1Template is for column1 when creating a new Excel report from BW query or refreshing a query from a Excel report.
How I can control which format template is assigned for which column? No way?
By the way, we are on BW3.5.

Oh my, I found out! It's easy, in a sense.
We use MS Office 2003, so in the first place we need to change security setting about macro, by the SAP note below.

Possible to attach external Esata hard disk on the Imac Quadcore 27?

Is it possible to attach external Esata hard disk on the Imac Quadcore 27? Or any other Imac? The purpose is for video editing, but maybe Firewire 800 is good enough for hd video in Final Cut Pro?

The iMac series do not have an ESATA connection and there isn't a way to make a connection inside. The only possible way is to perform surgery on the iMac which
1. probably will not work and
2. almost for sure Invalidate the warranty
This is a fairly common questions however there just isn't a way to do it. If your external drive also has a Firewire or Firewire 800 connection that is your best bet. As you probably know your iMac has a Firewire 800 port and you can daisy chain Firewire devices.

Style Sheet Attached To A Template

I have a template and attached a stylesheet to the template.
Questions:
If I make changes to that stylesheet, are the changes reflected on all the pages which are based on the said template or do I have to manually insert the relationship on each separate page?
When I make style changes using the "page Properties"; the styles embed into the head of the template - how do I ensure these are inserted into my separate stylesheet instead?
If I have both a separate stylesheet attached to the template and other styles are also embedded in the head of the template - how are the styles subordinated as the page renders? Is it possible to have both running side by side?

As long as the external CSS stylesheet is linked to the template (in a locked region) and to its child pages, you only need to upload the changed stylesheet for the changes to take effect throughout the site.
You will see all styles in effect on a particular page shown in your CSS Styles Panel. Simply move them (in that Panel) by selecting them and dragging them into the list of linked styles (assuming that the external file is linked to that page). Don't forget to upload any changed pages, including the stylesheet.
Yes, of course, you can have both separate external stylesheets and styles embedded in the head of the template. Styles in the head of the template take precedence over the styles in the external stylesheet, but again, you would have to re"put" all child pages if you change the styles embedded in the template. Better to make more specific styles in your external stylesheet

Is it possible to attach two monitors to a MBP using a displayport splitter?

I have done quite a bit on research on this, but haven't found any recent and conclusive answers. My hope is to find a solution and have it documented for others seeking the same.
Goal
I want to attach two external monitors to the miniDP/Thunderbolt port of my MacBook Pro using a DisplayPort (DP) splitter.
Hardware
Macbook Pro, mid 2012 (non-retina), with NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M, Mavericks
2x DELL U2412M that support DVI,VGA or Displayport.
What I know
My MBP should support more than two displays
There is a workaround using a USB adapter (my last resort)
There are Thunderbolt "Docking Stations" (e.g. from Belkin) providing several outputs, but don't know if any supports more than one display
DP supports multiple displays as of rev. 1.2 (daisy-chain)
The U2412M
(supposedly) supports DP rev. 1.2
works when attached with DP (tested on both units)
Thunderbolt is backwards compatible with DP (I think the DP signal is multiplexed on a thunderbolt connection)
I found a DP-splitter supporting multiple displays. However, Delock's support could not confirm it working with my MBP (they have no test units)
What I tried
I purchased the DP-splitter and tried to connect both displays to the mac.
Result
While there is a reaction initially, both monitors go into standby.
If I connect only one display to the splitter
DP: works
mDP: Laptop display goes black several times (I suppose OS X is attempting to set up the display), before defaulting to the buildin screen only (Note: Connecting the mDP<->DP cable directly works)
MBP cannot boot if both displays are connected with splitter as WindowServer crashes (there are crash logs, if that would help)
It's possible, that the splitter's mDP port is defective. "My" store suggested bringing it in for replacement. As they are out of stock, however, it'll take a while for a replacement to arrive.
Question / tldr
Has anyone successfully connected two displays to a single mDP/Thunderbolt port without using thunderbolt?
What DP revision does the thunderbolt port support?
Is there anything else I could try?

For the benefit of any other readers, here's a rough outline of it's functionality:
Divide 'virtual' desktop into sections. (allows maximising to both screens, a single one or even a division of a single screen)
Assign dock to a particular display (or span)
Swap active window and maximize it
Alas, there seems no way to assign the menu bar to a single display.
Quite interesting is the ability to divide a screen's desktop into sections. Applications can then be maximised in these sections, allowing for a "mission control" setup, where you can monitor several applications at once.
