Is it possible to backup the N95 firmware

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to backup the firmware of the N95. The reason is that I have an operator modified firmware that I would like the option of going back to should I experience problems with any new software.

Nope, there's no going back and no legal way to backup a phone's firmware.

I have a white iPhone 5c 16GB. It's my second time owning one, and the current one I have is from Asurion insurance company. I have heard those have been refurbished, so when I received my current phone I felt like it had already been old. iPhones don't have long life spans, for one. I charged it and when i tried going on my phone I was only able to use half of the screen. The other half was covered in those lines that appear when the screen is damaged. My immediate reaction was to plug it into my laptop to backup the phone before more damage happened to the phone but I had procrastinated on updating itunes. It took about two hours for iTunes to completely download. Meanwhile the screen had just completely failed on me showing only the colorful lines, but i was still receiving calls and the phone could still vibrate, i just couldn't see or check anything at all. Once i was going to back it up, itunes said my phone was in recovery mode and that i had to restore my phone. I have precious photos that i want to keep when i get a new phone. Is it possible to backup the phone without using itunes and just using icloud? its saying my phone is connected yet im unable to see any proof of that other than the sound my laptop makes when i plug it back in. Also, if that doesn't work or is not possible, will i be able to just stick my sim card into a new phone and will i be able to keep my data?

That's what I figured. When i go on icloud it shows the bar of the storage, and since i havent purchased extra, i only have the free 5gb. in icloud the bar shows the amount ive used and it says "backup" on the bar. It's not a link it's just a label. Does that mean it's backed up automatically on icloud?

Possible to upgrade UK N95 to Swedish N95?

I have bought a N95 that originally was branded and locked to Orange but it's unlocked. Since the OS is UK I was wondering if it's possible to download the swedish firmware and update the phone so I can use it as a swedish phone with swedish language.

A hot (or on-line) backup is a backup performed while the database is open and available for use (read and write activity). Except for Oracle exports, one can only do on-line backups when the database is ARCHIVELOG mode.

N95 firmware v12 and media player problem

Hi,
In firmware version 10, when I want to go in Media Player, I pressed and holded shortcut key for once then gone in Media Player. But now, In firmware version 12, for going in to Media Player, Sometimes I should press and hold shortcut key for ONCE and sometimes for TWOICE !!!

This is a known issue which should be resolved in the next release of the N95 firmware.

Is it possible to backup data from internal drive to the external?

I use the Time Capsule to Backup my MacBook Air. But what is about the Time Capsule itself?
I hoped it is easyly possible to use the external USB-Drive to do the backup for the time capsule.
This seemed to be not possible yet.
Is there a way to create a symbolic link on my MacBook an bring up the Time machine to make a backup from Time Capsule?

There is no backup in the TC.. it is unable to back itself up..
If you use 5.6 utility there is archive.. which is a full backup of the whole TC disk to the USB drive plugged into it.. there is no automation.. no incremental.. the whole disk or nothing.. manually initiated.. and it will knock your TC out of action for as long as it takes.. which is a long time.. USB drive is slow... half the speed of the same drive on your computer USB.
You can do it with a software backup program from the Mac itself.. that works with network drives.. so not TM.
And will be doubly slow as it copies files to the computer and back to the TC usb drive... it is 3x or more faster to backup to USB drive plugged into the computer..
TC as I keep repeating is a backup target for TM.. and is designed by apple with the absolute min of smarts required to do that and nothing more. It is not a NAS.. the most basic NAS includes automated backup.

You cant unlock your phone unless you put in your password. It may be possible that the apple store could do something about it.

Is it possible to check the previous backups on a certain backup file for the iPhone. I need to backup and restore the files which were used in the second week of January, but now I am only able to see the latest iteration of the backup. I am assuming that the iPhone backup rewrites on the same set of files. I may be mistaken. Is there any work around to see the old backups? Any kind of help would be seriously appreciated.

Wheres the N95-3 firmware upgrade to match N95-1 v...

I have a N95-1 with v20 firmware and the changes in the camera software are like night and day as far as speed and operability of the camera.. Now I own a N95-3 and it is still on v11 firmware. The camera software is old and archaic worse then the original non-updated N95-1. Its so slow it makes using the camera totally unbearable.
NOKIA CAN WE PLEASE GET A FIRMWARE UPGRADE FOR THE N95-3 THAT WILL MATCH THE V20 FIRMWARE ON THE N95-1.

Yes, it is.
The problem with this approach may be that the MacBook can only support one active connection, so if you have the MacBook plugged in via Ethernet, you will not be able to use the wireless on the MacBook until you physically unplug the Ethernet cable from the MacBook.
Frankly, I would not recommend the Time Capsule for you. Half of the price of the product is tied up in a wireless router which you would not even use. A much simpler, better (and less expensive) approach would be to add a USB or FireWire hard drive to the Mac. Then, the Mac can be using wireless or Ethernet and backups will occur just fine.
