Is it possible to block gpedit.msc ?

I have netware 6.5 sp6 and Zdf 7sp1.
is it possible to block the "gpedit.msc" by group-policy?
Where I can find this setting ? So the user can't search the file and run it.
Please can someone help me?
I have created a policy with "dynamic local user" as administrator and others setting.

..msc is an extension for a snap-in loaded by mmc.exe.
You could try to add mmc.exe to the following GPO:
USER ->
-> Administrative Templates\
-> System
-> "Don't run specified Windows applications"

When ever I feel that I'm about to lose complete control over my PC I restore it to factory condition, it's about all I can do. Even after 5 restarts it's persistent. I"ve stopped short of using the more extreme programs like Anti-maleware tool Adlice,
RogueKiller, and Combofix. I've actually learned a lot about script, and IS no thanks to my computers new little friends. I've been dealing with this malicious content since december upgrading OS from 7 up to 8.1 has really been the only thing my computer
and I from being completely run over. Some newer up to date advice would be great, I don't want to use out of date or ineffective programs the instructions I've been following are sometimes several years, to at least months old. No point in waisting my time

GPEDIT.msc vs RSOP.msc

Hi,
A couple questions.
1. As I know the RSOP does not give us a full reflection of the local machine settings,
some-why it omits the "Administrative Templates" partition.
Is there anything else the RSOP omits?
2. The GPEDIT gives us only some of the settings applied on the machine,
GPEDIT was not created to reflect the machine applied settings, but gives us a way to change them.
I'm running windows server 2008R2 with GPO i Come-up with (defining only Computer Settings) (with GPMC),
and I work with a compliance tool motivated by VBScript {written by CA(ComputerAssociates)}:
The vbscript defined to compare it's rules (which defined by me).
The problem is --> the vbscript fetch the settings from the GPEDIT
1. how do i know which settings I'm missing on my scan ?
2. could you suggest any way so I would get all the settings I'm trying to compare ?

Hi Kebro-David,
Group Policy Resultant Set of Policy (RSoP) reports Group Policy settings that are applied to a user or computer. GPEDIT.MSC is the editor for the local Group Policy. It is independent from domain GPOs and therefore will not show you the settings deployed
via domain based GPOs. To view the result of all your GPOs (including domain AND local) use "RSOP.MSC" instead. Or use GPMC to perform a Resultant Set of Policy (remotely possible if local firewall configured appropriate).

GPEDIT.MSC DO NOT WORK WITH IE11

When accessing the gpedit.msc in a Windows 7 configured tablet, we encountered the following error
after installing IE11: [$(string.Advanced Enable SSL3 Fallback) referenced in attribute displayName could not be found.]
I am unable to apply the enforce full screen mode policy for the kiosk mode because EI11 is no longer under user configuration>administrative templates>Windows components.
The gpedit.msc works find with IE9, the tablet is in a workgroup (standalone).
Any fix for this discrepancy?

Based on my test, for Internet Explorer 11 it still works fine. How did you do that?

When enable it, Internet Explorer display like this:
Thus Firstly please check if this entry Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Internet Explorer
appear in your Local Group Policy Editor. And then make sure your Internet Explorer version is Internet Explorer 11 without problem.

LDAP Configuraton: Is it possible to block 2500 users??

Hello experts,
we are running an EP with about 2500 users. The database for all users is the Protal´s DB sofar.
However we would like to use the company´s AD for retreiving user data.
Now, the users in the portal database have more o less the same LogonID as they have in the AD.
In the LDAP Configuraton one can block special users like Administrator or Guest. These users are always retrieved from the Portal´s DB and never from the AD. Makes sense.
However in our case, would it be possible to block all 2500 users who are already in the Portals DB and all new users who get integrated to the portal come from the AD?
I can imagine this is an big issue for the UME. To go through all 2500 LogonIDs every time a user wants to log in.

the point is, we are already running a productive system with more than 2500 users stored in portal´s database.
We didn´t connect so far to LDAP.
We didn´t connect to LDAP during portal installation years ago.
Now, we know that it has been a huge error that we didn´t connect to LDAP at the very beginning.
The used UserIDs in portal´s database are identical with the ones used in LDAP.
Now we would like to switch to LDAP as datasource. However we do not want to delete all users in portal´s database because of inconsistency with the current portal system.
The idea is to block all user data from all 2500 portal users from being retrieved from LDAP.
Only data from new users should be retrieved from LDAP.
I hope now the issue is clear.
Can a productive system work well with the configuration of 2500 users being blocked in the UME?

You don't need to recreate a DN to remove a simple feature from a phone.... Not sure who gave you that information but it is dead wrong. You can do one of two things:
Make a new softkey template without the CFWDALL softkey
Do what Aaron said and just restrict CFWDALL with a CSS
If the provider is in charge of this side of the configuration you may want to talk to another person there as they are giving you faulty information.
