Is it possible to burn my iTunes playlist to a SD card?

I cannot seem to transfer (burn) an iTunes playlist to a SD card. I eventually want my entire library on SD cards to free up space on my MacBook Pro and iPhone. My Jeep does not have a CD player. Just Bluetooth and SD card slot. So CD format is not an option.

You should be able to copy via drag and drop to the SD card - I don't have any SD cards to play with, but it works for me going to USB drives.  I don't have any experience in this, but I'd expect problems with syncing your iPhone if you remove songs from your Library.
What you'll need to do is put iTunes into Song view and select the playlist you want.  You'll need to copy the individual songs - Dragging the name of the playlist won't work.
Good luck

    Hi,
Create a play list that you wish to burn. Select playlist, the file from main menu which gives to an option to burn the playlist. A pop up box appears allowing you to select burn speed and disc format.

Try HT203242: iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install.

Is it possible to make a iTunes account without a Credit Card?

I've just tried it by following the instructions on that page and I've been able to create a new account with the 'none' option and have downloaded a free app.
e.g. on my computer's iTunes I logged out of existing account, found a free app in the store and clicked on its free 'price' :
I then clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup :
I agreed to the terms, filled in my details and on the payment's screen I got :
I then got the verification email, clicked on it, logged into that new account, and downloaded a free app.
Are they the steps that you followed when creating the account ?

  • Can I put my iTunes playlist onto an SD card, if yes, How?

I have a new Mac Mini with an SD port. I also have a new car that has an SD slot on the radio. Can I transfer my iTunes playlist to the SD card and use it in the radio rather than jacking my i-pod into the car?

Yes.  Highlight the tracks in iTunes, and drag them to the SD card.  This puts a copy on the SD card without changing anything in your iTunes library.
Make sure the format of your songs is compatible with your car player.

  • When apple no longer includes an optical drive how are you going to burn an itunes playlist

when apple no longer includes an optical drive how are you going to burn an itunes playlist

Well, I don't want to buy an optical drive if I buy a new Mac without one. However, iTunes will not allow "burning" a playlist to anything except a real optical drive.
Now, I am not running Mountain Lion so I don't know if iTunes for Mountain Lion allows it or not - could someone please let me know if it is possible.
For me, on Snow Leopard, I cannot find a way to burn, create, duplicate - whatever you want to call it - a playlist to a virtual drive, a USB drive - nothing but a physical drive.
It just makes me wonder if iTunes provides (will provide) an alternative when there is no physical drive included.

  • How do I include album art on a cd burn from itunes playlist

every song in my playlist has the same album art (something i created for the playlist).
when i burn a cd it burns all the information over EXCEPT the album art is missing.
is there a setting that i can change that will allow me to burn the playlist with album cover too?

I don't know about AAC but with mp3 files you can embed artwork. For general use,  iTunes keeps its own copy of artwork in a separate folder and it isn't part of the mp3 file.  This happens when you use iTunes to get artwork for an album.  If you manually add artwork to a mp3, or use Dougscript embed artwork script, it will add it to the mp3 itself so it gets carried over when you copy the file.  Note, this also increases the size of the mp3 file.  itunes will still keep its own copy, and if you want to ensure the artwork is attached to each individual mp3 file you have to embed a copy in each file which ends up taking up more hard drive space.  If you have a 3 minute mp3 at 128k quality which is 3 MB in size, and add a high-quality 1MB image to it, suddenly you've increased the amount of space your collection needs by 33%.

  • HT204266 How do you burn an itunes playlist to a CD?

I made a playlist in my itunes and would like to burn it to a CD.

    Don't know unless you try.
Did you know you can update the OS X to Maverisks 10.9  for free? Go to the App store. Then you can update iMovie if necessary.

    Howdy janedavid,
If you still have not been able to burn a playlist to a CD in iTunes, I would use the troubleshooting here in the article named:

  • How to download iTunes songs onto an sd card

How do I download iTunes songs from my Mac onto an SD card to be used on my cell phone?

Yes exactly - I did it tonight. Dragged a playlist (subset) of my itunes playlist onto an SD card. Then put my SD card into my Audi "jukebox" amd uploaded. Took 15 minutes to upload 1500 songs - but was otherwise a breeze.

Mel,  Sure, although that is "copying," not "burning."  It is easily done, as follows:
Insert the USB stick into your computer, and open it up so it looks like a folder.  Highlight the songs you want in iTunes, and drag them into the folder.
If you normally run iTunes in full screen mode, make it smaller so that you can do the drag.

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
    ... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here.

  • Is it possible to burn an audio CD on a MacBook Pro using iTunes?

I found two sets of instructions for doing this.  One from Apple itself and another from Wikihow.com.
I followed the instruction from each of these with 3 different setups: an older MacMini running OS 10.4.~, a MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.8,  and my new MacMini running Mountain Lion.
Apple tells me to go to the Preferences panel for iTunes and then select the "Advanced/Burning" tab.  There is no such tab and there is nothing about burning under the "Advanced" tab on any of them.  Wikihow tells me to click the "Burn Disc" button in the  bottom corner of the iTunes window.  There is no such button anywhere in the iTunes window with any of these setups.  ***??  Are these instructions dating back to OS9???
With my MBPro, I am able to do a simple burn that creates an ROM version but I am wanting to create an audio CD that will play on standard CD players.  Is that too much to ask?  The old MacMini has an internal CD drive, the new one does not nor have I felt the need to buy an external one for it.
Added note: Sound quality is not a high priority as the CD's I am wanting to burn will all be of lecture type material.
