Is it possible to change HDD disk to SSD disk after buying ?

I want to change my disk after buying my MacBook Pro because of the huge price. Can i do this ? Or maybe it's impossible ?

Yes, you can do that. Visit OWC to explore their Data Doubler that will let you put an SSD or HDD in place of the optical drive.

Is it possible to change the name of the characteristic after the PA is activated?
If yes what should I do?

    Hi,
yes its possible and it works in the same way as the creation of a new characteristic / assigment to an up- and running operating concern.
Thats because the "name" of a characteristic is not stored in a text table but it is the field label of the data element.
Search in the SDN forum if you are unsure how to do that.

    HI TO ALL
Is it possible to change our system SID and NR after installation os SAP r/3,
    thanks

    Hi,
It cannot be changed after you have installed the SAP system
You have the option to chose before you setup the system ie, during the installation.

is it possible that a certain membership didnt get renewed after buying it from a location? for instance if my code isn't being redeemed is it possible that my code wasn't activated by mistake?

i noticed this as a bug in iTunes. make sure the correct file is selected in the preferences menus. It does not have to be the default location directiory as Vazandrew stated. your iTunes music library can be anywhere you want it. i have mine on an external cuz i'm a dj and have over 80,000 songs.
once you select/verify the location of your music library, simply drag the folder into the left panel in iTunes from a finder window. iTunes does not automatically add the items like it use to for some reason.

  • Fields which are possible 4 change in a service entry sheet after approval

    Dear Guru's,
I find that after a service entry sheet is approved (automatic GR is done at this stage as well), there is not even 1 field which can be changed. Is there a way to make some fields changeable without going through the reversal process or cancelling the GR and cancelling the approval in the service entry sheet? Im looking to change the Header Short Text (Field Name = TXZ01). Is this possible ?
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi,
After approval of a SES, no changes can be done further.  if you want to make any changes first reverse the acceptance.

    -maxlogfiles
    -maxlogmembers
    -maxloghistory

    Hi Chris,
Thanks for updating that but here's what in Oracle Doc:
From Oracle Documentation (Oracle® Database New Features Guide 10g Release 2 (10.2))
    Eliminate Control File Re-Creation
With the control file enhancements, there is no longer a requirement to re-create the control file when changes in the configuration parameters are made. These include the MAXLOGFILE, MAXLOGMEMBERS, MAXLOGHISTORY, MAXDATAFILES, and MAXINSTANCES parameters.
This feature eliminates database downtime when a configuration parameter change is made in the control file

Move Win8.1 from the stock HDD to an SSD
    I have a Lenovo K450e ... DeskTop -Model Number:10181
    win 8.1... 32 GB RAM
    Going to install ...
Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S37A/240G 2.5" 240GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
And it appears after searching/reading some other post that this May be the only way it can be done >
    { http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Windows-8-and-8-1/Moving-Windows-8-1-from-HDD-to-SSD/m-p/1843542/highlig... }Move Win 8 to SSD
See above link for other links
"AFAIK, there's no official guide yet on how to move Win8.1 from the stock HDD to an SSD (upgrade) except by using a recovery disc or a recovery drive but for any given model, may it be a laptop or a desktop, your other choices are the following:
Option 1: ( I have Not yet decided on this )
Clone / migrate the OS from the HDD to the SSD
    - this is ideal if you don't want to re-install all of the soft-wares
To do this, while booted on the stock HDD, you will need to connect the SSD to the machine (eg. using a 2.5" SATA enclosure) and use a data migration software to clone/migrate the HDD to the SSD. After the process is finished, remove the stock HDD and replace it with the SSD and all should be good.
    Other guides:
    - OS Migration (using Paragon Backup & Recovery Home)
    - Disk Cloning (using Macrium Reflect)
Option 2: [ I will most likly to do this ]
Clean install the OS to the SSD
    - this is ideal if you wanted to start fresh
To do this, you will need to:
    1. Check this guide on how to obtain a Windows 8.1 ISO (see Option One) {{ Done > DL Win 8.1 burned ISO }}
    2. Follow this guide to make a bootable UEFI Win8.1 installer via DVD/USB flashdrive and use it to install Windows (the installation should be able to detect the Windows 8.1 product key in the UEFI firmware that will let you activate Windows).
Is this still the BEST/Only way to move Win8.1 from the stock HDD to an SSD ??
I assume there is NO way to use OneKey Recovery or windows Recovery ( I have both on USB Flash Drives )
    Thank You
    Purplemtn/Rick

Macrium Reflect, but it has been a while since I cloned a drive.

  • Disk Utility: For one Disk it isn't possible to change anything

    Good Morning everybody
First I think my Spec's are important:
    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)
    2.9 GHz Intel Core i7
    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Two Disks: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250 GB (normal Startup Disk)
    Toshiba HDD 750 GB
Intel Hd Graphics 4000 1024 MB
    OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.1
And now to the thing I did that the Problem appeared:
After a very long discussion with the Apple Support Help Hotline I decided that, after a Backup, I wil do this: OS X Mountain Lion: Erase and reinstall OS X to try something out, and then will restore my backup.
It all went perfect till the thing with restoring my backup. In the Menu I get when I press (CMD + R) I tried to restore the backup. But then, in the middle of the process, the system cancelled the process automatically and shut down. So I started the Mac again, it automatically came into this CMD + R menu. So I went into the Disk Utility to watch what happened. Since then my two Disks are shown the same way (picture): It is not possible to change anything, except running the First Aid thing. Luckily it was possible to install the OS X and my Backup on the HDD, but for me this is only a temporarily version because the SSD is at the moment completely blocked.
    Goal:
It would be great when I can add/remove/change partitions on both Hard Disks and when, at the end, it would be possible to install my Backup to the SSD and use the HDD as a "external Storage" again.
Thanks for all your responses & you can ask me everything if you need more information.
    David

  • Can I change hard disk with SSD drive in Toshiba NB100?

Can I change hard disk with SSD drive in Toshiba NB100 ?
The Hard disc in this model is same size as SSD 2.5" drive?

    Hi
As mentioned above: the SATA controller is supported so you will need to use a SATA SSD drive usually it should not be a big problem to upgrade the notebook with an SSD drive in some cases it could be possible that the SSD firmware needs to be updated but this depends on the SSD drive manufacturer
However, the SSD drive is much faster than a common HDD. Therefore you should notice a faster performance

  • Change Hard Disk TO SSD

i just bought a SSD hard disk..i plan to change my notebook hard disk to SSD..is it possible ? i'm trying to open the behind case that place Hard Disk it was hard to open..i'm suspecting it can change the hard disk to SSD ?

    Hi:
I've successfully upgraded my Pavilion 15-n209TX notebook to SSD and let me tell you that it is not at all a walk in the park. You have to take out topcover, base enclosure, keyboard, battery, USB board and reach upto the motherboard to get access to the HDD. After that, it is just matter of replacing it with SSD.
It will definitely void warranty if you're going to do it as a major disassembly is needēd. Even if you're not under warranty, I would suggest you give the machine to local computer guys to do the upgradation.
The HP site is down at the moment and the Service manual can be downloaded 1 or 2 days later. Go through it properly.

    Hi people,
I'm typing from Brasil, sorry my English.
I have a iMac 21,5" Intel mid 2011 and I need to know if is possible I change the original 500Gb HD for a 512Gb SSD?
I intend to keep the original DVD driver and install the SSD in the same HD place.
If yes, where I find a tutorial about this?
And I will like to know if the 512GB Solid-State Drive Kit for Mac Pro is compatible with iMac.

Since the late 2009 iMacs came out, replacing the hard drive has caused the internal Hard Drive Fan to start running at around 6000RPM.
This is due to Apple replacing the external Hard Drive temperature sensor with a proprietary firmware and using the drives internal sensor.
Replacement drives do not contain the firmware to deliver temperature data on the temperature sensor cable.
When the iMac does not receive a good signal from the hard drive it puts the fan at full speed to protect the drive.
If you replace your drive, your iMac will initially seem fine, but soon the fan will begin to speed up to full speed. Resetting the SMC (System Management Controller) will have a temporary effect, but again the fan will speed up.
Fixes people have used in the past included:
Using smcFanControl and the terminal to set a MAX speed for the fan and writing scripts to start this after every sleep/restart.
Shorting the temperature sensor cable (Not a possibility on 2011 iMacs) this tricks the iMac into thinking the drives temperature is very low, hence slow fan speed.
Both these fixes are less then perfect and leave the drive in a dangerous situation with no protection from overheating.
Another option people try is other Fan Control software. These programs will not work for this particular issue as they often only control the base speed, and if they do control the fans actual speed they rely on the temperature reported by the sensor which is now incorrect.
    HDD Fan Control
HDD Fan Control works to fix this issue by reading the drives internal temperature using the S.M.A.R.T protocol and set the fans actual speed to a value good to protect the drive.
It runs at startup and continually to always control the fan correctly, prevent the loud fan noise and protect the drive from overheating
Instead of HDDFan Control, get the free SSDFan Control
