Is it possible to change the LOCATION of stored passwords?

I would like Firefox to store my passwords, but I dislike that anyone can just open up the browser to find all of my data. Yes, I have a master password, but I know it's not difficult for anyone to go into the data files and decrypt the password files.
What I would like to do:
1. Relocate the key3.db and logins.json files to a flash drive. Or the entire profile if absolutely necessary
2. Change where Firefox pulls passwords from to my flashdrive
3. Ultimately it will only be able to remember my passwords if my flashdrive is plugged in
For a quick Q+A:
1. Would I need to relocate just the two files, mentioned above, or the entire profile folder?
2. What file directs Firefox to the current password location, to the AppData folder? Can I/what do I need to change this?
3. Is this at all possible?
I'm currently using Firefox 37.0.2, running on Windows 7.
I'm not well versed on technical jargon, but I'm reasonably competent.
Please let me know if more information is needed.

Just a note, this doesn't really increase your security except in the case that someone comes into your house and sits down in front of your computer. That's the only real case that you need to be concerned about (or if you let someone have remote access over your computer).
The better things that you can do to increase security are:
* Keep Firefox up to date
* Keep plugins such as Flash and Java up to date (or remove them if you don't use them)
* Keep your operating system up to date (Make sure you check the Recommended updates, you might have a graphics driver update in there you should install)
* Have a reputable anti-virus (for you I would suggest Microsoft Security Essentials) and run regular scans
* Update to windows 10 when it comes out this Summer for increased security (If you update in the first year it's free!)
* Don't install or download untrusted things from the internet

The logo is in it's own table cell - so css will not work (can't change the order of table columns using css). You could possibly replace the logo image on the server with a single white pixel (create a custom skin if you want), then add a new background image to the table (class is HeaderTopBar) aligned right and no repeat using CSS. You would need to pad out that right side somehow to make it align (the last cell has class HeaderPageStatus and contains the status image).

Is it possible to change the location of the user component directory in TS4.0

I would like to override the default location of the user component directory to a network drive / source control file system, in order to execute my own loginlogout sequence without having to deploy any files locally. is this doable in TS 4.0? If so how?

Hi freak,
Unfortunately what you are trying to accomplish is not entirely possible.
You can move your user components directory to a network drive and then add a search directory and point it to that location. And then you can set that to a higher priority than the NI and User components folders so that location gets searched first.
However, the issue is some components need to be in a certain local location in either the NI or the User components folder and TestStand will not look in other locations for them. This includes the languages and the icons, and more importantly the FrontEnd and Station Callbacks. And the FrontEndCallbacks.seq file is the file that contains the login/logout steps and TestStand will not look in a different search directory for them.

i want my default location for Projects and events to be on a network drive but when i import movies i'm not given the option to do so.. on given the option to save to the internal drive on the computer running iMovie.. the drives are listed in iMovie but they have a small yellow triangle with and exclamation mark on them and i can drag the movies there
does iMovie only support drives that are directly attached to the computer running iMovie?
i have iMovie on a MacMini with a small HDD (120Gig).. i have all my media stored on a G5 with large eSATA drives.. my network is all gigabit ethernet.. so the connection through the network through gigE is WAY faster than any directly attached USB drive would be..

oracle binaries are residing in bin directory of ur oracle instance.
say u have oracle instance running in /u01 and also the same oracle instance running in /u02, then u can move ur binaries to a different location. binaries are like pointers on the database which are used for routing the connection calls.
this is to be done by shutting down all the servers properly.

are you looking to move the bloated Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup file? i had this same problem (my iTunes points to an external drive, but the default Backup Profile is still stored locally, and with a 64GB iPhone, it's killing my hard drive. here's what i found!

Is it possible to change the Presets Scripts Folder Location?

I work with Photoshop on a daily basis for my job, but my company has the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Presets\Scripts folder admin-locked (due to it's location in the Program Files folder. I've already asked IT, but they told me that they are unfortunately unable to give me access to that folder because my user profile can't be given admin-rights (due to company policy). I'd really like to change the location of the scripts folder so that I can add some scripts of my own to be able to use in Photoshop.
Is this possible or is there any sort of workaround?

You can always use browse to go to a different location - I know it's not ideal, but it does tend to remember that folder once you navigate to it. I would push your IT people about getting you access to that folder. I also work in for a company that severely limits access to program files, but I made my case that I need to have access to the Photoshop subfolders to do my job. They should be able to grant you access to just that folder.

Is it possible to change the Caller ID location?

When initially setting up my Skype phone number I selected the wrong location (Astoria, Or instead of Portland, Or). I have tried the following steps:
1. Sign in
2. Click on 'Caller ID'
3. Click 'Edit'
4. It does not give me the option to change the location (Astoria).
Is it possible to have this changed or do I need to create an entirely new number for this to happen?

Without studying a map to determine the proximity of Astoria to Portland, I offer this, as the situation can become complicated in a hurry: if the exchange you selected can be used for either Astoria or Portland, than changing your Skype Number may not make any difference. However, if you can choose an exchange dedicated to Portland only, than it most certainly does. There are articles on Wikipedia which list all of the area codes + exchanges and their location assignments; hopefully the lists you research have been maintained and are current.
You would need to cancel the Astoria exchange Skype Number subscription, and start a new Skype Number subscription with a Portland exchange. If you explain the circumstances to Skype Customer Service, maybe they could arrange to refund the cost of the first subscription you did not intend to purchase.
You will need to contact Skype Customer Service directly for assistance with canceling (and maybe obtaining a refund for) the first Skype Number subscription. You would start a new Skype Number subscription with a Portland exchange on your own.

If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.

I'm trying to create a whole website in Edge. Is it possible to change the browser URL for different sections of the animation. For example me.com/part1 leads to 2.0 seconds in the animation. And for example when you type me.com/part2 the browser would go to 4th second of the animation. And vice versa, when the animation reaches the 4th second the browser URL would change to me.com/part2. It would be really great if that were possible. Any ideas on how to accomplish it?

Hi there, Joel's example seems to be exactly what you're trying to do. All you need to do is replace his functions with your functions.
There are two main parts to his example: 1) reacting to a URL change directly in the URL bar, 2) reacting to a button click, and setting the URL
Regarding Item 1: this line (this adds a listener for when the URL hash is changed, and calls the 'sym.animate' function in his example). Note that he is linking the value after the # with the symbol names 'panel1', etc. This line enables the functionality for you to be able to directly change the URL to: testStep95.html#panel2, and the site will change pages.

Regarding Item 2: he's setting the page title (based on the active panel symbol) and URL hash, in the 'sym.animate' function. He calls the 'sym.animate' function on click of btn1, btn2, btn3:

I would like to compile my project to run under the JNI. I have tried to use the command line to run the javah -jni filenames but I always get errors and my assumption is that I need to change or adapt the IDE WITHOUT violating any licensing agreements to get the JNI working in this IDE.
I would appreciate any help that I could get in regards to this issue whther someone from SUN wants to comment or if any developer's have had this issue and have solved it...

Okay, I just tried this. I changed the default location of J2SE JDK in the creator conf file. Saved the file.
For example:
#netbeans_jdkhome="C:\Program Files\Sun\Creator2_1\java"
netbeans_jdkhome="C:\Program Files\Java\JDK1.5.0_04"
On restarting the IDE the new path is taken. To see the change: go to main menu -> Help -> About Java Studio Creator . Go to Detail tab. You will see the values for Java and Java Home changed as per your change in the creator.conf file.

Instead of a footnote beneath the box, I want to place it in a different textbox.
Most easily is to make a textbox on a masterpage and link it with the footnote 'placer'.

My laptop, which uses Windows 7, came with the hard drive divided between a C and D drive. the C drive, where all the programs load, is nearly full, and I would like all the photos and videos that adobe elements organizer finds and that I download into load on my nearly empmty and spacious D drive.
In other programs I can change this is file prefernces, but I cant find that feature in elements.
Is it possible? and how can I do it?

SG will probably have more to say about his reply, but in the meanwhile you might want to check out Premiere Elements 11/Elements Organizer 11/File Menu/Catalog Manager... and the Custom Location option. I suspect that is what both of you have in mind?
When Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 are installed on the same computer, they share a common Elements Organizer (catalog) although they can be purchased as standalone products each with its own Elements Organizer (catalog).
