Is it possible to choose what data is and isn't shared with Lifelog?

Hi,
I was just wondering whether it is possible to change settings and customise what lifelog logs and what it doesn't?
I was planning to get a Sony Smartband, but I am not keen about sharing so much data... I would like to only use the Lifelog application for the fitness aspect if possible (I also don't see the point of stuff like logging which music I listened to...). Is it possible therefore to toggle what is shared with the application/what it logs? And if not are there any plans for this in a future release?
At the very least I would want to not share my photos with the application. If this is not possible I'm afraid I may have to look for an alternative fitness tracker to the Sony Smartband.

Is it possible to render the clips individually and relink- such as with Color/fcp?

I'm fairly new to Ae/ PP, and am trying to figure out a good workflow for grading (using resolve lite) Basically, I need to denoise my footage first (neat video) and then send that footage to Resolve, then back to pp. Now, this works fine with Resolve's scene detector as it can cut up the footage, but if there are any dissolves, etc, then I need to do this via xml instead.
What I would like to do is: Edit in PP. Send to AE to denoise, render (the denoise need to happen before grading) and replace the original files with the new denoised clips in pp. Then send the xml to Resolve. So far this would work if it wasn't for AE rendering everything into one clip, eliminating the cuts/layers.
Is it possible to render the clips individually and relink- such as with Color/fcp? If not, any other workflow that could work for me?
Hope someone can help- dynamic link is driving me up the wall.

Simply use Dynamic Link to send your whole timeline to AE or use AE's Premiere project import. Then once you have a working AE project, you can use scripts like rdPreCompose to create separate sub-comps for each clip which in turn you then can render separately. Still, the limitation will always be the kind of transitions you use. Essentialyl you should avoid anything that isn't a hard cut or simple cross dissolve 'cos there's no way to recreate it in AE without eating up the handle of your footage. You'd essentialyl be shooting yourself in teh foot if you jump ahead too far in Premiere and already add too much finishing there.

The Mac uses Mac OS X. The iPad uses iOS. These are two different operating systems and the apps written for one will not run on the other. Some Apple and 3rd party apps have been developed in both OSes. These apps can usually share data and files across the two OS platforms.

I am facing issues in creating adhoc network in Windows 8.1. After searching in internet, I found that adhoc works with
netsh commands.
1. I have tried neths commands and able to get it work on windows 8.1,
but I want to do it through the WLAN APIs ie. WlanConnect ,
2. I am able to initiate the adhoc network(on Windows 8.1) by using WlanConnect API and other device are also able to connect to the Windows8.1 initiated adhoc network but the DHCP is not working.
-> clients are not able to get the IP address.
Is it possible to create the adhoc network and get it work with WLAN APIs (WlanConnect) instead of netsh commands...?

Did you mean to write a program to implement that creating adhoc via UI? This should be development issue.
But this is Windows 8.1 client forum and there is no professional on develop.

Have a Friends and Family plan. I have unlimited data and want to keep it. Questions on what I can and can not do with account changes.

So I am on Friends and Family 2000minutes and unlimited Text.
4 phones.
My phone has Unlimited Data and Hotspot
Other 3 do not have any data.
I am curious what I can do and can't do that will keep keep the plan as is and not force things to share everything.
I am allowed to have 5 phones under this plan. I am curious about adding and deleting phones.
I did try and add a 5th phone. When I tried to activate a 5th phone online it would not let me do it. Tried to get me to change plans.
Here are a few scenarios that I see coming up in the future.
I would like to add a 5th phone. My father has an account and I would like to roll him into my plan instead of his own account. I have already done this once before many years ago with no problem with 2 of the lines that I currently have. Is this possible or is that enough to trigger the move share everything scenario.
Second. how about removing a line from my plan?
One of my numbers is for an 18YO that wants to be more independent and have their own account. Can I down the road either transfer that line and number to its own account which would be share everything (I do understand that). Or can I delete that line from the account without triggering the share everything scenario?
Also it seems when I look online I can change data plans currently three phones are on data block. Can I actually change them to a data plan within the Friends and family or is the Share everything scenario triggered. What about if I change them to a smart phone from their basic/feature phone. I know I can't get unlimited data but can I still get them on my friends and family tiered data plan?

yes to everything; you can add a line (up to 5 total for Family Share), drop a line, upgrade a basic line to a smartphone (and then add a tiered data plan) and stay on your current calling plan ... it may be easier done in your local Corporate Verizon store, though ... just be sure they don't try to switch you to Share Everything if that's not what you want

a quote to convert part of an old project from Director to Flash
(web delivery). The part to be converted is very similar to a
reservation system but without the need for data lookup or storage;
it requires the user to choose a date (using a date chooser
component), collects some additional information, performs some
calculations, then graphically displays 3 consecutive calendar
months with a range of days highlighted. The user could then opt to
email the results, behind the scenes my code wrote html to a string
and attached the string to an email to recreate the results.
The client was fussy about the data input, eg; requiring that
users be able to input dates using either a date chooser or by
typing the date, and that the unused method should update on focus
change.
So with all that said, I’ve found three date choosers.
Does anyone know if one of these would be better suited to my needs
than another? Also, the email requirement may go away, but does
anyone have tricks in AS3 to do something similar to what I did
with Lingo?

Generate a report with date range and year as POV with Hyp Planning ?

I am starting with hyp planning and i need your help please.
I have to create some forms. In those forms, the final user is supposed to be able to display data in the forms between 2 dates and for a specific year.
My first problem : I don't know how you can display data in a form between 2 dates and for one specific year. I just have one dimension YEAR and one PERIOD, so if i selected them as a PAGE, the final user will just be able to choose the month and the year for his form ... and not displaying data between 2 dates.
My second problem is with the dimensions YEAR, SCENARIO and VERSION. I don't want to put the dimensions VERSION and SCENARIO as PAGE (it easier for the final user to just choose a year than to choose a year, scenario, and version) but as POV with a relationship with the dimension YEAR (because if the user chooses YEAR = actual_year (2012) the VERSION and the SCENARIO won't be the same than if the user chooses YEAR= last_year). IF YEAR = next_year, VERSION=Propuesta, SCENARIO=Forecast
IF YEAR = actual_year, VERSION=Propuesta, SCENARIO=Forecast AC
IF YEAR = last_year, VERSION=Actual, SCENARIA=Real
How can i do that?

Not many. As a rule, if you don't have a channel in your package, the "free" movies aren't free. You can check available channels at the following link if you haven't already.

Help me choose what processor to order my Macbook Pro with?

I need a new computer, and the Macbook Pro Retina has really caught my eye. It's super-portalble, but also powerful, and looks beautiful. I'm from a Windows world, but I've used Macs countless times and it seems Windows 7 can be run with boot camp on the macbook pro really well, so I can have the best of both worlds.
I want it for both recreational and academic purposes. I'm a video editor, and have been using Sony Vegas (at home) and Final Cut (school computers) for years, and am just starting to get pretty good with After Effects too, thanks to the guys at Video Copilot. However, my current computer is super-slow using After Effects, taking hours to render simple clips maybe a minute or so long. The reason is probably because I'm using a laptop, with 3GB of RAM and an Intel HD graphics card. The macbook has the powerful Nvidia card, and I was planning on getting the 16GB of RAM just to make sure I won't ever have any problems with RAM.
I also want a fairly gaming computer out of this. The most powerful game my current laptop can run at fullspeed with medium graphics is Team Fortress 2. Anything higher than that (I've tried Prototype, Saint's Row the Third, Borderlands....all an absolute lowest settings) is very laggy, and anything badly optimized for the computer (GTA IV) just does not run at all. I've looked up gameplay of these games on the macbook, and also some gameplay of Skyrim, and they all look wonderful, even GTA, though not on the highest computer resolution possible. That's okay with me though.
My real question I guess is, what GHz processor to get. I thought I would just run with 2.6, but the upgrade to 2.7 is availible... at the cost of $250. Is it worth it? Also, what is "Turbo boosting", and how does it allow me to gain up to 3.7GHz?
I'm gonna be getting the 16GB of ram, will that be enough? Or should I spring for the best possible model, is that extra tenth worth it? For high-end video editing and gaming, and running Windows 7, is it gonna make a huge difference?

I want to take them all off my laptop, now............as I need to use it for WORK!!
Copied them (hours and hours) to another external hard drive.
They are now in alphabetical order (all 19,000+ of them) NOT IN THEIR EVENTS or date order. (-They have also been taken with different cameras over the years and some of the generic camera numbering remains.)
I have tried to copy them (only a few as an experiment) one event at a time, but that again "opens up" the Event "folder" and tips them out as individuals and therefore just lists image letters and numbers alphabetically.
How can I copy
the whole library still in "Events" to an external hard drive?
the folders/albums I have already made on to this hard drive?
and how can I add to this back up monthly, again keeping events and folders separate and updated?
Mac is so user friendly - there must be a way.........

UPDATE : I have re-installed from disk, various apps that were no longer functioning such as iLife, iWork etc. So, I now can access my photos again.
Also, I had to re-install all the software for my printer ( Stylus Pro 4880 ) and reset it so the printer is working again.
Photoshop CS4 won't open. I think I will have to get in touch with Adobe as basically, I guess they have a built-in "blocker" which prevents me from opening the app as the license is for only 1 user and having re-installed the OS, there are now, in effect, 2 users ( Me and Me 1, I think ).
So, having added on a new external HD, Time Machine has made a copy of most of the files, folders, apps etc onto the external HD. The internal HD is still nearly full ( 220 GBs out of 232 GBs ).
I am guessing the way to go now in order to free up space on the internal HD is to delete/trash older photos from my iPhoto library and hope that if needed, I will be able to access them on the external HD.
Am I correct ? Please advise before I do something I will regret.

Data acquisition and frequency generation togather with PCI-6251 and LV8.2

I am a new user of Labview. I am using LB8.2 with PCI-6251 .
I have to generate frequency and then measure the data and then for next frequency and so on.
i know that for this i have to use looping and that is not a problem. The real problem for measurement is to identify whether the frequency is been generated. if yes then measurements starts otherwise it should wait until it started. then after finishing the measurements send a signal to generator for changing the frequency and amplitude.
Now these two things {generation and measurement} togather are not working correctly for me. so i make 2 diff file, one for generation and other for measurements <by modifying the examples>. I can run both file togather and it works. But it need lots off effort and time. I have to measure from 10Hz to 1000Hz in 2Hz frequency step and i cannt leave in between .
can anyone help me how to syncronize these two togather .

I get notice that Firefox security has an update. I select. The update spins and says"connecting to the update server," and never does. It just keeps spinning.
I have tried to up date thru the Firefox website unsuccessfully.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
