Previously a BT Infinity customer, but having moved to the next road i was told Infinity is not availible, however I noticed the one of the other flats in the building has BT Infinity. When i traced the feed into the property I noticed it was originating from another telegraph pole to the one that supplies mine. When placing the order for a home move I mentioed the above and asked to be connected to the other telegraph pole, to which the reply was no as you are already connected to the other non-infinity enabled pole. I even offered to pay the new line install cost just to have access to infinity but again BT said that it was not possible. When BT Openreach attended to connect up the existing line they said there was plenty of spare capacity on the Infinity enabled cabinet/pole and to supply my property from this pole would pose no problem. So surely rather than BT loose the extra revenue by downgrading me, surely the answer would be to move me to the other cabinet/pole? but it seems that option is not possible due to the fact BT are unable to request a specific cabinet/pole connection with Openreach. I then raised this a complaint to which I was given the same answer and that I just had to wait until my cablinet was upgraded. Surely such a simple task of running a new line from a spare circuit in the Infinity enabled cabinet to my property wouldnt be a problem for BT? but on this occasion common sense has been overwritten with the 'computer says no' software. Any one else has the a similar issue? and maybe a solution? many thanks

if you have a phone connection the openreach do not move lines. ordering a new line will just get a new line fron the same pole.
it would get chaotic if everyone could choose which pole they wanted for their conenction. this has been asked on the forum before

Is it possible to choose which monitor my viewer displays on?

I mainly compose music and have to do some basic editing. For my music setup with Logic Pro X I have 3 20" monitors and then one 42" tv.
When I open FCPX I'd like to have the Event Display on my TV which is connect via HDMI on my Mac Pro.
Even though in prefs I have that HDMI Device selected under "Playback-->A/V Output" the relevant picture shows up on one of my smaller monitors and there is no way to drag it over to any other monitor.
I apologize if I am not using the right nomenclature for all of this, video is not my main thing.
I am running OS X 10.9.5 on a brand new Mac Pro. FCPX version 10.1.3

Do you mean you want the Event browser show up in the TV? Then you DON't want to set it as "Playback-->A/V Output"! Setting it this way will make it show in full screen what is displayed in the viewer.
First, set Playback-->A/V Output to none (or to one of the other monitors if that is possible - I suppose it is not).
Then choose Window->Show Events on second display. (Since there is more than one, it may take a little fiddling to get it to choose the right one...)

Is it possible to choose which party has the unlimited data on a family plan?

As it stands, my family member has an LG Ally on Verizon with unlimited data on a regular individual plan. I'm on Sprint looking to switch over and join her (I'll probably get a Thunderbolt), switching her from an individual to a family plan. However, I know that I will only be getting 2GB/mo of data (unless I opt to pay more) which isn't enough for me but it is enough for her. Is it possible for us to switch, so that I get the unlimited data, she gets 2GB/mo, and we retain our current numbers?

My family will be moving within the next 8 months or so. I can only assume, due to work and location, that we'll change our numbers. This is a brilliant way that I can obtain my wife's unlimited data plan. She doesn't use anywhere close to 500MB, due to the fact of being a stay at home mom.

The answer to both questions is unfortunately NO. The templates are linked to specific events or triggers in the system and cannot be changed or determined by any user. With the PLD the limitation is that if you want different layouts, the only way is to change default the whole time. But bear in mind that the default could be set by user, BP or both. This does allow the system to use a different layout for each user or specific BP's.

Is it possible to choose the serial port if only the run time engine is installed

I have an application, which communicates over the serial port. When I use the full version of Labview I can change the serial port without any problem from Com1 to Com2 (similar to the example “Hardeware input output -> serial -> Labview serial vi"). When I build an application and try to run this program on a computer where only the run time engine 6.1 is installed, it is not possible to choose the serial port. Since there is no “Measurement and Automation Explorer” available on the run time engine and no directory C:\VXIpnp is created, when the run time engine is installed, I do not see a way, how I can satisfy the computer with the information it needs for configuring
the different ports. Any suggestions?

Before LV6.1 there was LV5.1 In LV5.1 the way to Spedify a resource was to use a string control with correct VIsa Resource Class identifier. For eg. "GPIB0::11" or "ASRL1::INSTR". With Introduction of VISA Resource Name Control and linking with MAX, These names are Available from Pull Down List and Can be Aliased, meaning ASRL1 which is Serial Port 1 can be called COM1 and so on. However the old method still works with all 6.1 Controls. Only thing is you have to make sure you Dont Conflict the Class Names ie Use "GPIB::.." instead of "ASRL..." when addressing Serial Port VI's.
To solve your Problem I would Build a Menu ring with COM1 to COM4 in the Pull Down List.
Next, If I use the Traditonal Serial Port VI wich accepts the Integer as Seria
l Port #. I just Wire the Menu Ring to this VI.(Remember COM1 is 0, COM2 is 1 for this VI)
If I use VISA Config Serial Post. I build an Array Constant with Corresponding VISA Class Names So in our case a String Array Constant of 4 elements "ASRL1::INST" to "ASRL4::INST". I Use Index Array Function With the Index Wired to my Menu Ring. The Array Input Terminal Wired to the Array Constant. The Output of this Array will be correct Visa Class Name Based on slection of my Menu Ring. I can Wire this as Input to my VISA Config Serial Port Vi.
I have attached a Small VI to Illustrate this.
Drawback: You must Predefine what Ports you will Want to Use. Basically you define all the cases.

But i want to assing agreements too. Is it possible to do?

I want to explain why it is requiered with an example
we open a pr for yearly import orders transportation costs.And we predict
yearly 100 import purchase orders and also 100 transportation service.
So we agreed 1000 usd for each orders trasportation costs.And we sign this agreement for one year with the total price of 100.000usd.
And such agreements for other delivery items like consulting and etc.All this terms
price is planned and the same for each po.
For an import pr u agreed with a supplier and u open a po with the price u agreed. And also u add the delivery items like trasportation (1000 usd for each import order:this because of we want to add this cost to that material) which u make agreements previously .
While we are choosing the condition as its possible to add a supplier to that condition it might be possible to choose an agreement made with that supplier.
If its not possible, the agreement u done with the supplier is meaningless (trasnportatin agreement) .
So that means that we cannot do agreements for such services.And also determine the price.
As a result i think its required and if it is not possible, is there any other solution ?

Choose which content type to use in sharepoint 2013 list using InfoPath 2013

So, in my head it seems pretty simple and a feature that might be standard to InfoPath so much in fact I can't find anything on it... My goal is to a have one list where you can do a drop down or buttons to choose which content type to use.
I will be royally disappointed if this is not possible. =(

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use multiple content types in a list.
For achieving it, you can do as the followings:
Open the list.
Go to List Settings->Advanced Settings.
Under ‘Allow management of content type’, select ‘Yes’, click OK.
In the Content Types section, click ‘Add from existing site content types’
Then add the content types that you want to add, click OK
Go back to the list, click ITEMS->New Item, then all content types are displayed in the drop-down list
When you click an item, you can select the new item is created based on one of these content types

How do I choose which email address to send a calendar invite from?

I use iCalendar for business. I don't want to send company calendar invites with my personal @.mac account. Years ago I had a Bberry and could choose which email address to send it from while creating a meeting in the calendar. Is this not possible with Apple Technology?

Open Mail app. Click where it says mail on the upper left corner of the screen, choose preferences choose accounts tab on the top then select the account you don't want anymore and click the - button at the bottom.

Does anyone know the costs involved in removing a pole and putting the cables underground?
I have just purchased a piece of land and there is a telegraph pole on it (it only has phone line for my house and my next door neighbour - all other properties in area have lines underground). I am looking to put some stables on the land and the pole is in the way!!! As I am "moling" underground to put the water and electric cables in we thought we could also put the phone line underground to our house then across the house to next door. I have contacted Openreach and they will charge a non-refundable deposit of £199 to survey the area. Any ideas of total costs involved? I don't want to spend £200 if it is going to cost thousands as I can't afford to pay that much.

Welcome to the forum.
IMHO the only way you will receive an answer to this question will be to have the survey team out on site. Each location will have its own detail and all will be different. I dont think you will get anywhere near a 'fixed' guess-timate until such a survey has taken place which you could reasonably expect Openreach to be held to which although isnt what you probably want to hear, is at the end of the day probably fair.

I HAD two accounts because of this problem. I completely removed the problem account from the Apple Mail client. Guess what is happening?? That's right - Mail is still sending from the other account that no longer exists on my computer, and I have absolutely no idea how this is happening. This is incredibly frustrating. When a recipient chooses to reply to my message, quite often I won't get it now because it is going to the other account that has now been deleted from my system. COME ON APPLE!!! WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THIS???

The solution was as follows for me anyway...
Go to your Finder
Choose the Go Menu
Choose Computer
Choose your Macintosh Hard Drive
Choose your "Library" Folder
Choose the "Preferences" Folder
There should be a folder called "Audio"
Move that whole folder to the trash
Empty the Trash
Restart from the Apple Menu
When you are back up and running;
     Choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu
     Choose Sound
      In the output tab you should now be able to make the HDMI "Sticky"
      Enjoy your sound over HDMI and no more dirty knees or broken backs unplugging the desktop speakers!

With the exception of photo stream, iCloud doesn't sync your apps or photos between devices. You will continue to sync this content via iTunes in the same way as you do now.
Photo stream allows you to sync your most recent photos between all devices, you have the option to use photostream or not.

Is there a way to migrate info from one mac to another and still be able to choose which apps you want taken?

I have an IMAC and I want to transfer some of my applications to my newly referbished Mac Book Pro. The problem is that when I use Migration Assistant, I am unable to choose which applications I want to migrate, the Mac Book is unable to migrate the entire library, due to the size of its hard drive. I hope there is a way do this. Help, Please!
