Is it possible to completely block any unsolicited attempts by BING and its insidious hidden registry additions.

Certain addons in the Mozilla addon library, including a number of youtube download assistants have attempted to install BING and have consequently prevented Firefox from restarting/starting. My only solution was a system restore. I will not be installing any further addons until developers find a way to COMPLETELY prevent any unwanted registry changes. I would ask that all users complain to youtube as it seems that they all attach themselves to youtube entries within the registry..

They may not be professional but they're definitely seasoned, they do this every weekend in the same location, and the phones seem to end up at the same location as well. Local police won't do anything since apparently a Find my iPhone report isn't accurate enough to properly figure out which house it's in
Ok so the next question is, let's say I get the sim card disabled, so they won't be able to make calls from my phone. Will FMI still work even if the sim card can't connect to 3G or the internet? Wi fi is not disabled so that might still work to locate it...?

My iPhone 5 wouldn't start after I turned it off a few minutes after writing this. It went into recovery mode and I had no choice but to connect to iTunes on PC and restore.
I restored to factory setting first, just to validate my phone was okay. For a second consecutive iOS update, the iPhone 5 did not update smoothly while connected to PC and iTunes - I had to retry two times before the progress bar for the update showed. (The exact same problem with the restart occured when I updated to 7.0.4.)
The good news is that I was ultimately able to restore the iPhone 5 to factory settings while running iOS 7.0.6. I did have a backup from about a month ago lying around and was able to successfully restore with that as well, so the damage done is almost negligible since I had my contacts, notes, mail, etc. backed up to iCloud.
Once I completed both restores, the sync with iTunes worked fine.

Is it possible to add a dozen or more host files to completly block Yahoo or MS Bing and keep it off the search engine.

I do not want Bing in my computer.
I get angry and uninstall the new firefox because i can not keep bing at bay. Every time I go back and install Firefox because I do not like Opera I have Microsoft's Bing invading my system as yahoo search or bing.
I want to know what are the host files I need to enter, so I can completely block this search engine virus that keeps invading my system.

For the record: Yahoo search is Microsoft Bing, with a different name.
Yahoo search was a great search engine in the past, that knowledge was given to Microsoft to improve Bing, and Yahoo signed an financial agreement with Microsoft to use Bing.
I can remove Bing, but it always returns in 6 hours, or in several days. It has the qualities of malware, in that it keeps reappearing. There is no method I can find of keeping Bing search off my system, other than to not install Firefox.

Block any kind of posting for CA.

HI Experts,
We had a requirement earlier to block payments but now it has been changed by the business. For some specific CA's they dont want to perform any kind of postings at all...There are two options I was thinking
1. I was wondering if we can provide posting block. Currently this is not present in the CA screen but via BDT I think that is possible. If we provide the posting block at the CA level will it be feasible to block any kind of posting on that CA, i.e no invoicing, no dunning, no payment, no clearing for that CA.
2. Is there any FQevent which I can use to provide the above feature...i.e no postings (no invoicing, no dunning, no payment, no clearing ) for some particular CA's. I think in this case, we need to consider some lock at CA level.
Any inputs on this are welcome, which will be an easy option.

Adding to Bill's comments, posting block is already present at the contract account level.
You just need to make it visible in the Contract Account screen by making changes in the field Status group.
If you quite a few number of CA's for which these locks has to be put in, you can use mass transaction FKLOCK2 for the purpose.

Is it possible to selectively block re-explode BOM in Sub-contracting PO ?

In our business scenario, sometimes we are directly adding PO components in the Sub-contracting PO in addition to the existing components that have come in through BOM. After saving and somedays later when the user goes to edit PO through ME22N, since the components button & re-explode BOM button are very close, users by mistake press re-explode BOm and also save the PO. The directly added components go out and hence not consumed while GR. Is it possible to selectively block the re-explode BOM through PO user exit or any other method?

Some amount of user training should help.
If not discuss with your abaper if badi - ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST can be used or you can find user exits with a search using MM06E*

It's best to start with figuring out your eMac model and OS in order to answer the question. This article will help you determine your model:

And to get the version of Mac OS that's installed:
From the Apple Menu at the left end of your menu bar, select "About this Mac..."

It seems that complete deletion is impossible, but the next best thing would be to clear out your personal information, if that was your concern:
1. Remove devices and other personal information from your Apple Support Community profile. This would be accomplished by editing your profile and privacy settings (e.g make the privacy settings as strict as possible).
2. You'll notice your name and email address are not editable via the Apple Support Communities profile page. However, you can edit your name and email address used by Apple Support Communities from your Apple ID https://appleid.apple.com/
To change these, login and click on the "Manage your Apple ID" and you will be able to change them via the "Name, ID and Emaill Addresss" link in the menu on the left. However, please note that any changes to your Apple ID affect your main Apple account (iTunes, iCloud, Apple Online Store, etc.)

I'm guessing that this customer has a credit block. To verify this, go to transaction FD32 for the customer number (probably Sold-to party, but could be Payer or even Ship-to) and check 'Status' checkbox. On the status screen you'll see the checkbox Blocked. If it is checked, the customer is blocked for credit reasons and cannot receive any more goods. If it is just for testing purposes, you may remove the block.
Technically this is not even an ABAP question. If you won't find the customer block, as described above, I'd suggest to ask in the SD forum. You might want to mention the message class and number there.

So is what your saying that nothing can be done about me not being able to update it at all?
If you're referring to OTA updating....No,you won't be able to OTA update with the current(custom/modified) firmware/ROM.
Hypothetically speaking if you were to OTA update your phone would revert(not downgrade) to the original stock Chinese firmware(NO Google services/not allowed in CN,only EN&CN ,a lot of Chinese apps... ).
.....to update it at all?
In way or another you'll always be dependent on custom firmwares,root acces,etc....
If you currently don't have any major bugs/issues I suggest to leave it as it is for the moment and consider flashing(at own risk) a new firmware when a stable Android 5(Lollipop) custom firmware comes out.As far as I know there isn't any stable K920 Android 5 firmware available ....yet.

Blackberry not responding - completely blocked

My Blackberry (bought last January) has completely blocked itself during a phone call (speaker went on and call couldn't be ended). Since then, it works not at all. I tried to reset the phone and also to update the software. Then it worked for a couple of days and then again it blocked itself during messaging. The keyboard is not reacting (as if it is on unlock), if I restart the BB, I cannot even enter the password although the screen seems to be intact (screen appears only visible when I take it out of the leather case).

ok. It sounds like what I have seen multiple times on a device with moisture damage.
Even sitting on a bathroom counter during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause keyboard and trackball problems UNTIL properly dried out.
It really is more common than you think.
1. Remove the battery immediately!! Do not attempt to turn on your BlackBerry.
2. Let the device dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days* (see below)
3. DO NOT "check it each day" by placing the battery in. Leave it be to dry completely. This takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can only damage it more (moisture + electrical current = disaster).
3. If the device is warm after the drying period, allow it to cool to room temperature before placing the battery back in.
*Suggestions on drying your BlackBerry in a warm place (open, with the battery out):
Place the BB in a container of dry UNcooked rice, and then you might also place it in any of the locations mentioned below.
On top of any dry heat emitting electronic component: TV cabinet or CRT, LCD, cable TV/Satellite converter box or plasma monitor

Does anyone know if it is possible to completely disable keychain access in Tiger? As part of security policies handed down from our corporate office, I need to be able to totally disable the ability to save/store any kind of passwords for servers, email software, other software, etc. Thanks!

Additional Notes on Protecting Keychains
For laptops it may be advisable to store all keychains on a portable drive, such as a
USB flash memory key or a portable FireWire drive, if allowed by organizational
policy. The portable USB key can then be removed from the laptop and stored
separately when the keychains are not in use. Anyone attempting to access data on
the machine will need the laptop, the USB device, and the password for the keychain
stored on the USB device, providing an extra layer of protection if the laptop is stolen
or misplaced.
To use this capability, move all keychain files to the USB storage device and
configure the Keychain Access application to use the keychains in the new
location. Remember that the default storage location for keychains is in each user’s
Library/keychains directory, but that the user may have stored keychains
elsewhere as well. To move a keychain to a portable USB drive (or to any new
location):
1. Start the Keychain Access application.
2. If the drawer showing the user’s keychains is not open, click on the Show
Keychains icon to open it.
3. Click to select the keychain that is to be moved.
4. Pull down the Edit menu and select Change password for keychain
“X”..., where X is the keychain being moved.
5. Click on the Details arrow to display more detail about the keychain.
6. Note the Keychain Location and click Cancel.
7. Pull down the File menu and select Delete keychain “X” where X is the
keychain being moved.
8. In the window that appears on the screen, select Delete References. Do not
delete the files; only the references should be deleted here.
9. Open the folder containing the keychain as noted in step 6.
10. Copy this file to the new location, such as a USB keychain drive.
11. Drag the original file to the Trash.
12. Choose Secure Empty Trash from the Finder menu to delete the file.
13. In the Keychain Access application, select Add keychain... from the File
menu and open the keychain file that was moved.The keychain will appear in
the list of keychains in the Keychain Access application.
The system will now access the keychain file in its new location.
While this is for Panther it should be the same for Tiger.

HT201210 iPad is completely blocked

My iPad is completely blocked. Error message "iCloud Backup" as iPad hasn't been updated for 4 weeks. I cannot update it as screen is blocked and I therefore cannot change setting from Airplane Mode. I cannot even reboot as iPad doesn't respond to slide to power off.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

First off they are not even pop ups....your crap blocks everything and don't save user names &/or passwords when you have it checked. Also in your tutorials about solving this issue says it has the word "OPTION" .......no, it never says option to allow you to bypass it and etc. Only thing is says is "ALLOW" . That would be nice , but the problem is it will not allow it from then on. It only allows it right then and then you have to refresh...after that to open again it blocks it again.....HOW STUPID?!!!!!

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
*do not clear the Cookies
*do not clear the Site Preferences
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
