Is it possible to COMPLETELY wipe all information stored in an iTunes match account?

So far, I have been able to supposedly delete desired songs from Itunes match.
Although, it appears that I have deleted the songs I want, it seems that there is still some form of memory linked to my account.
It's this one little "form" of memory that is driving me absolutely nuts.
For some reason (most likely had it incorrect during initial upload) an artist such as "Queens of the Stone Age" is appearing as "Queens Of The Stone Age"
The use of capital letters in every word in a title is incorrect and I cannot for the life of me change it.
This problem is only displayed in my iPhone, iTunes itself does correct after I edit the artist name.
I am extremely tidy with the way my iTunes library is kept and organised (I'm sure a lot of you are the same)
Could anybody shed some light on this for me?
Or am I doomed to have incorrect titles on all my iOS devices for eternity?
Any help at all would be much appreciated!

Thank you for you quick reply Michael.
I have tried what you mentioned above and I still have the same incorrect capital letters coming back.
I have tried changing the name to "Queens of the Stone Age 2" and that worked almost instantly.
The problem is when I change back to "Queens of the Stone Age" it just goes back to having those painful capitals there again.
Another example is an artist (Sea of ****) that was on my account previously but is now completely gone from my iTunes library all together. As an experiment I changed changed another completely different artists name to "Sea of ****" just to see what happened. The result was "Sea Of ****". Again with those f**cking capitals!
It appears that once an artists name is uploaded it locks in and remembers the upper and lower case. I can change the artist name itself by adding or deleting characters, but I cannot change the case of those certain letters.
Any other bright ideas out there?

After buying a new Macbook pro and opening an iTunes Match account most of my music is grayed out on my Mac and iPhone. I have not turned on iTunes match on my iPad and all my music is fine.  How do I get my music back????

The most efficacious way to get your music and other personal data onto your new Mac is to restore it from the backup you made of your old computer. Once that is done you can re-enable iTM on the new Mac and your iPhone.

  • Can you download all of your iTunes match account onto your computer?  I screwed up my iPod that had the entire library on it and the computer that had the hard copies of the files on it blew a hard drive.  I need to get the files back from iTunes Match.

Can you recover/download all of your iTunes Match account onto your computer?  I synced the iPod that I had the entire library on to a new computer and lost almost all of my music.  The old computer that had the library on it blew a hard drive and I can't sync the iPod back to the old computer.  Everything is in iTunes Match, but can I load it onto my computer, so I can get it back on my classic iPod?

If you had iTunes Match before all this happened, yes. Just log in, activate iTM and download the music. If you did not have iTunes Match prior to these incidents, no, it can not help you.
You should also be doing regular backups of your personal data to an extnal HDD. If you had a backup hue could simply restore it.

  • HT1212 how to wipe all information on my iphone when lost?

I lost my iphone 4 at the airport. How can I wipe all my information?

Use Find my iPhone by logging in to your iCloud account with any web browser. If you are lucky the finder has not reset, turned off, or restored the phone.
If you had a passcode lock your content is safe. Doubly so if you had turned on the option to wipe the phone after 10 failed login attempts.
If the phone did not have a passcode lock IMMEDIATELY change the passwords on every web account that you use, and buy identity theft insurance.

  • Download all songs onto macbook from iTunes match cloud.

I just bought a macbook pro, i would like to download all my music from itunes match onto my macbook but don't want to manually select the cloud for each song. Is there an easier way to download them all?

This is not the best or most efficent way to get your music onto your new Mac. The best way is to copy all your personal content from an origional computer or backup archive. These Apple KB articles can help you:

If you insist on downloading from the cloud simply highlight all the tracks you want, right-click, and choose "download."

  • HT201065 Is it possible to completely remove ALL data when wiping??

Is ALL data completely wiped and irretrievable from my old mac once this process is done? I have heard of others illegally retrieving data from old discarded hard drives previous owners had 'wiped' clear.

When you erase a drive, you can do it fast/non-secure or slow/secure. Choose the "secure" method and specify 1, 3 or 7-pass option. For large disk drives this can take a VERY VERY LONG TIME. But if you want to be safe, what's a day or two.
The multiple-pass secure options writes different bit-patterns to the drive, before it finally erases it with all zeros, which leaves nothing for anyone to recover later on.
If you choose the unsecure method (the default) it only initializes the information that says how many files are on the drive and where to start writing when new files are created. The actual part of the disk that had your old data is not even touched, so with the right kind of software that information is able to be recovered to varying degrees of success.
The 3-pass secure erase method is what the DOD (Department of Defense) recommends for erasure of drives.
See this for a lot more information about securely erasing disks:

  • HT1495 I recently "held down the shift key" and created (and named) a new library, it's completely lost all my music on my iTunes ac! I still have it on my iPad, can I transfer all my iPad music from my iPad to a new iTunes ac (as I had to uninstall and i

Ive had an iPad for a year or so, it's got tons of music on it. I recently got myself an iPhone. I read on here about how to set up a completely separate library using my same account (as my iphone couldn't possibly hold the same amount as my pad I thought it made sense!). Trouble is....as I set up a new library it asked me to name it, which I did. The trouble is now, every time I log in to iTunes it logs into the new library which is completely blank. It has of course not effected my music on my pad (phew!), I cannot find my original iTunes a/c anywhere on my pc. In desperation I tried to uninstall the iTunes off my pc, then reinstall, and log into my original a/c hoping all would be revealed thanks to the iCloud, but no.....it's blank! Is there anyway of copying (safely) all of my music and films FROM my iPad ONTO my new blank iTunes account?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Okay, try launching iTunes while holding down the shift key (again) but this time, click "Choose library". Browse to the location of the old library file. The default locations of the library file are inside the iTunes folder described in the following table:
    Operating System
    Default location of iTunes Folder
    Mac OS X
    /Users/[your username]/Music
    Microsoft Windows XP
    \Documents and Settings\[your username]\My Documents\My Music\
    Microsoft Windows Vista
    \Users\[your username]\Music\
    Microsoft Windows 7
    \Users\[your username]\My Music\
Find and open the library file. Are you seeing your normal library now?

  • TS2363 Hi Guys!  Can someone tell me why after installing itunes  V 10.7.0.21 and Quicktime 7.73.80.64  I can no longer get a movie to play.   I completely deleted all programs to do with itune then reinstalled all the latest version back into my desktop.

When I start itunes up and click on a movie I get an error message:  saying something about Quicktime error!  How can this be if I have the latest version.
I'm running Windows 7 on a desktop and before the upgrade of itunes every movie played.  Today I bought a new movie and it said I needed the upgraded version of itunes for it to play.  What a mess.  Any help appreciated.

had similiar problem with update in september.  did the uninstall and reinstall procedure twice and still no luck.  finally I just dragged the movie ontop of quicktime and dropped.  clicked the play button and movie played fine.  hope this helps.

  • HT204406 I have lost all my previously uploaded music. iTunes match appears to be stuck on gathering information. please help!!!

I have seen very posts about this and have tried turnming on and off the Match feature. Please help!

This may happen, if you unplug your USB cable before, the iPod has finalised writing the filesystem, so although the songs are there, it is not in the corrupted filesystem, which if you are lucky, may be fix using chkdsk(windows), or DiskUtility-> FirstAid-> Repair.
Anyway for future, if you cant wait to disconnect the iPod, try a HardReset,
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the  next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple Logo comes ON
    Then release the buttons
    Select your preferred language.

  • ITunes Match unable to complete "Gathering information about your iTunes library."

All week I have been trying to get 2 separate iTunes accounts on 2  different Macbook on Air's both running iTunes 11.3.1(2) on Mavericks 10.9.5 - the progress bar crawls along and never actually reaches the end. Both iTunes Match accounts are completely empty (i.e. show zero media available on connected iOS devices). I have signed in and out of iTunes Match, deleted the libraries and re-added them etc. but the scan just isn't working.
So, is iTunes Match being discontinued ahead of the announcements on 9/9 or is this a temporary glitch, or something thats just local to Spain?

I'm having the exact same issue on a fresh windows 7 install...pretty annoying. After a few minutes of Genius in iTunes 9.0.2 gathering information about my music library my PC crashes and turns off. This is the only issue my computer has...help?
