Is it possible to configure non-default NX7K CoS-DSCP map?

NX7K QoS has system defined table maps for CoS to DSCP mapping, DSCP to CoS mapping, etc. Those table maps can be used in qos policy maps. I was wondering if I can change, for example, CoS to DSCP mapping to something different from the default values.
Somthing similar to Catalyst switch command "mls qos map cos-dscp 0 10 18 24 34 46 48 56", where you can define any CoS to DSCP values. I don't think this is possible in NX7K QoS, but just curious.
Thanks

  • SCOT - Configuring multiple default domain

    Hi,
Is it possible to configure multiple default domain in SCOT in a client?
I have set the default domain to e.g. "company1.com" and mails with this domain are sent out.  However, mails with "company2.com" are not sent out.  The message in SOST is "Delivery Attempted" and the mails were never received.
I tried setting the default domain in SCOT to "company1.com, company2.com" but it didn't work.  So I'm assuming that it will only accept one default domain.
"company1.com" and "company2.com" are my subsidiary companies and not "yahoo" or "gmail" domains.
    Thanks

    Hi my friend
Default domain can be only one as it's called "default", which involves another setting: the SMTP mail host you define also can be only one, it can't work for 2 different mail domains.

  • Configuring IPIB with non-default partition key

    Hello
I want to put IB HCA port into non-default partition to create separate network on my IB fabric. On IB switch (Voltaire ISR9096) I created network with non-default partition key 0x7ffe and add HCA port to this partition.

    hi
I was able to setup the listener to serve both databases using netmgr, thanks. Apparently I was trying to use the wrong tool for this previously.
Now i'm able to access the EM Database Control and it seems to be working fine though i get the following error message
    Logged in As SYS
    Error
java.lang.Exception: Number of responses does not match queries
    Database Instance: devel.foo.bar
Now, i'd like to be able to use EM for administering two separate databases (running on the same host). Do i need to migrate the database control somehow to grid control? How do i do that?
What about security? I'd like to use SSL and limit connections to selected clients only.

  • Reset non-default parameters in configure dialog of the mapping

    OWB 9.0.4
Why after Reconcile inbound on table or cube in any mapping is reset non-default parameters (ex. hints, database link) in configure dialog of the mapping?

    Dmitry,
The behavior is intended... And the reason for that is: we could not change it, but then sometimes you do want to change it, sometimes you don't. We could provide flexibility, but then you may have to answer or confirm the selection... which you don't want to do too often. In this case we change, and I am hoping it does not create too many issues for you. Let us know if it does, and we can evaluate the enhancement request.
    Thanks,

  • Cannot specify non-default KDC port using system property krb5.kdc

For testing / debug it's very useful to be able to run the KDC on a non-default port. This can be specified in Kerberos config file by appending the port number to the KDC host name, delimited with a colon.
The java.security.krb5.kdc property can be used to locate the KDC - Unfortunately in Config.java in the sun.security.krb5 package, when parsing the property the colon is used as a delimiter for multiple KDCs. The config object String.replace()s the colons with space chars. Then the KrbKdcReq.java module, when testing for a non-default port in the KDC string from the config object, looks for the colon delimiter - but this has been zapped. So it seems that it's not possible to specify the non-default port via the property.
The workaround is to use the config file approach instead, but this is inconvenient and limits programmability (especially when using configuration reload) - Is there a prospect that the config parser might be adjusted backwards compatible (say, to recognise a double colon or an escape char) to fix this?

    Greetings
I'm sorry to dig this thread up, but I could really use some help concerning this. I need to set up ApacheDS in a remote machine, but I'm not allowed to have root access to it, which means I can't make ApacheDS to run its KDC at port 88. Port 88 is a reserved port in *nix machines, so I can't make ApacheDS to list on that port without admin previledges.
On the other hand, I already have a client/server demo program that can connect to a kdc (which can be found at http://thejavamonkey.blogspot.com/2008/04/clientserver-hello-world-in-kerberos.html), but I don't know how to set it up to run on any other port. I noticed that teddy_salad mentioned something about a config file approach, but I don't know what he is referring to.
At this point I should mention that its my first time trying to use JGSS, but I'm also running out of time to make the ApacheDS work. I'm supposed to make some benchmarking tests for my masters degree dissertation, and the deadline is approaching :\
I only need to know how to change hte default port to which that application connects to. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies to this.

  • Creating a Global Temporary Table on non-default TEMP tablespace.

    Hello ,
    I am using Oracle 11g.
I have a procedure which create global temporary tables for its functionality. As the data which is going in the global temporary table , mean the data which is going in the default TEMP tablesapce is too huge ..... billions of rows..
So what i want to do is , I want to create the global temporary table in another TEMP2 tablespace ( which is not the default one) so the load of billions of rows of data will be shifted to TEMP2. The default TEMP tablespace will not be affected and it can be used for other transactions.
Is this possible. Can i shift the global temporary table from TEMP( Default temp tablespace) to TEMP2 ( the non-default temp tablespace) ????
Please guide me with proper solutions and examples ....
    Thanks in advance ..

Global temporary tables are instantiated in the temporary tablespace of the schema that inserts the data - not into "the default" temporary tablespace.
Assume Schema1 creates a GTT and grants all on that table to schema2
Assume schema1 also creates a procedure (authid owner, the default) to insert data into the GTT and grants execute on the procedure to schema2
If schema2 executes: insert into schema1.gtt, the data will appear in the temporary tablespace of schema2
If schema2 executes: execute schema1.procedure, the data will appear in the temporary tablespace of schema1
So if you want to protect the "normal" temporary tablespace, you could just create a special temporary tablespace for the owner of the procedure.

  • Configuring Kodo default implementation for field of Collection type

If I am not mistaken default implementation for field of Collection type in
    Kodo is
LinkedList based proxy. It would be great if it were possible to configure
Kodo to use a proxy of my choosing
I did some tests and it seems to me that ArrayList is much more efficient
    than Linked list (see below)
Is there any specific reason I am not aware of that makes LinkedList better
    than array list
In my applications all collections a relatively small (or at least most of
    my collections are definitely small)
and since I use Collection interface there is no inserts into middle of my
collections - only appends (which ArrayList handles very well)
So my question is can I make Kodo to use ArrayListProxy for fields of
    Collection type
(except of course using ArrayList field instead of Collection which I do not
    want to do)
below is some statistics on collection performance (populating and iterating
    collections)
the same test against 3 collections implementations (JDK 1.4.1)
Not only ArrayList by far the fastest and memory friendly it also garbage
collected much sooner and better -
I show here max memory consumption and last to would not be garbage
collected till all memory is in use (old generation GC)
and ArrayList seems to be collected by young gen GC because it was collected
very quickly between test cycles why other only when all memory was used
So please make ArrayList your default collection implementation :-)
    Small collection size (40)
    time(ms) memory(kb)
    ArrayList 5,218 62,154
    LinkedList 14,125 240,066
    HashSet 27,000 311,825
the same but using using random inserts - append(index, object) rather than
    append(object):
    ArrayList 8937, 53591
    LinkedList 15047, 240066
    Larger collection size (200)
    ArrayList 4860, 47709
    LinkedList 18468, 290704
    HashSet 34391, 422282

    append(object):
    ArrayList 11844, 47709
    LinkedList 25766, 290704

You should be able to accomplish this fairly easily by extending
    SimpleProxyManager:
    http://solarmetric.com/Software/Documentation/2.4.3/docs/javadoc/com/solarmetric/kodo/util/SimpleProxyManager.html
and overriding the appropriate methods (getCollectionCopy and
    getCollectionProxy).

  • IdM doesn't support non-default port on mysql 4.1 as repository??

    Hi
IdM doesn't support non-default port on mysql 4.1 as repository??
    IdM version is 6.0.
    I setup mysql 4.1 using non-default port 3307.
    (default port is 3306)
    During setup wizard,
    the URL [jdbc:mysql://localhost:3307/waveset] doesn't work.
    I am getting following error.
    com.waveset.util.InternalError:
         ==> com.waveset.util.ConfigurationError:
==> com.mysql.jdbc.CommunicationsException: Communications link failure due to underlying exception:
    Of cource,
    the URL [jdbc:mysql://localhost/waveset] works well
when I setup mysql using default port.

    Hi,
it does work with non standard ports but whatever port you specify it will always try to connect to the default port before actually changing the repo setting.
Therefore use the switches -n -o $WSHOME/WEB-INF/ServerRepository.xml to write the new configuration without performing the broken checks.

  • Possible to configure per connection timeout values?

    hi,
please, does anybody know how (or whether or not it is even possible) to configure a "PER CONNECTION" timeout on the connections - created by jndi - to an ldap server?
my understanding is that setting the "com.sun.jndi.ldap.connect.timeout" property on the javax.naming.directory.InitialDirContext sets a _global_ timeout value for _all_ connections created/managed by that InitialDirContext (that is, with a "PER CONTEXT" scope).
however, what i would like to do instead, is somehow configure a different timeout value for each individual connection that a InitialDirContext might know about.
the first solution that will probably pop in your head is "connection pool". however, the app sets "java.naming.ldap.factory.socket" property to a custom socket factory class. according to the following paragraph from the jndi tutorial, that disqualifies the app from using connection pools:
"There are a couple of environment properties that automatically disqualify a Context instance from using a pooled connection. A Context instance cannot use a pooled connection if it has its "java.naming.ldap.factory.socket" property set to a custom socket factory class, or its "java.naming.security.sasl.callback" property set to a custom callback handler class, or its "com.sun.jndi.ldap.trace.ber" property set to enable protocol tracing."
    http://java.sun.com/products/jndi/tutorial/ldap/connect/config.html
even if we could use connection pools, we still wouldn't be able to set "per connection" timeout values. would we?
one proposed solution is to completely rip out jndi from the app and replace it with the netscape directory sdk for java. to me, that seems like too drastic a measure though - given the project's time-constraints (the way the app was originally designed does not lend itself to a straight-forward "pop-out/drop-in" type replacement). i was hoping there would be a simpler alternative (a jndi-based configuration type solution, for example).
any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. thanks in advance for your replies.

Enable the Default Host option in the AirPort Admin Utility, use the IP address you have assigned to your server.

  • Non-default system-application.xml file?

There's mention in the OC4J documentation regarding specifying a non-default system-application.xml file; however, I cannot find the string defining it in any of the OC4J files, nor in the documentation though I might have missed it in that.
I am attempting to have multiple instances run out of the same ORACLE_HOME, and I'd like to point the logs to separate places per instance. Every other one is pretty clear (defined in the customized server.xml), this one with its logging parameter I cannot find a method for keeping a separate log file per instance other than simply creating multiple oracle or at least j2ee homes. Short cut for keeping things consistent for many settings and deployments, though may not be feasible for a running environment.
Any information or points in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks,
    Geoff

You can modify the <log> tag in system-application.xml to rotate the system log file.
System application is a key internal component that is critical to OC4J startup, the system-application.xml file should not be modified except for the <jazn> and <log> tags.
You can modify the <jazn> tag as needed to specify changes to the security provider, the location of the OC4J security configuration file (system-jazn-data.xml), or both. For more information about <jazn> and the system-jazn-data.xml file, see the Oracle Containers for J2EE Security Guide.
There's no reference of system-application.xml in other config files.

  • Is it possible to change the default "oraesb" database schema ?

Wondering if it is possible to configure ESB to use a database schema other than the default one (i.e oraesb). Motivation: I have one database that I'd like to leverage for multiple mid-tier installations.
From the IRCA script, I get the impression that this should be possible. If so, are any of these steps documented anywhere. Thanks.

In theory yes, although I have never tried, nor probably recommend.
Thinking about it, what you would need to do is install the SOA suite as you would normally using the default schema. Once installed and working copy the ORAESB schema into another schema of your choice.
In the enterprise manaher you would need to change all the connection details to pount to the new schema. In the jdbc resources. Make sure that the names in the datasorce remain the same.
I think it would be too dificult to do at install time.
    cheers

  • Tally meeting participants in non-default Calendar

I would like to send a meeting request from a non-default Calendar, but get the message:  "This
meeting is not in the Calendar folder for this account. Responses to this meeting will not be tallied."
Numerous threads around this subject revolve around sending the request from the default calendar, but this is not what I wish to do. I have 2 separate calendars which split tasks for 2 different areas of work I do. Obviously one is the default calendar.
I, however, wish to create a meeting in the second calendar and send a meeting request to various people for that meeting. I also wish for the attendees responses to be tallied in this second calendar. Creating and sending the request functions correctly,
and I will even receive a response from the other party but Outlook doesn't capture that response in the calendar, saying that the request came from a calendar that is no longer there (although it is).
Is it at all possible to achieve this in Outlook? If so, could someone advise me how? If not...well, I'll just have to accept this then.

    Hi,
This is normal Outlook behavior. This warning occurs when you are using the non-default calendar to send a meeting request. Responses are only automatically processed when the meeting is in the default calendar.
    http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/calendar/response-meeting-request-tallied/
If you want to change your default calendar to another calendar. We need to change your default Outlook data file with another calendar folder. To achieve it, please follow these steps:
1.Go to File, Account Settings, Data Files.
    2.Click Add.
3.Type in a name for the pst file and click OK.
4.Select the new pst and click the Set as default button.
    5.Close and re-open Outlook.
    6. Click File > Account Settings > E-mail > Change Folder, and select the New pst file.
    7. Restart Outlook and all the new created PST file would be the default data file with a default calendar.

  • How to configure non-unicode in JVM of 1.4...

    hii,
Plz explain me how configure non unicode bytes in JVM, ie SYSTEM PROPERTY set to false in JVM 1.4.1 & higher verison.
    waiting for reply,
    Santosh

    Hey cross-poster,
This is the third time you posted this question, so I shouldn't really answer you..... but it's nearly Christmas and I'm bored at work.
Firstly, if you don't know the question, then you'll never get the answer.
Every string & character in Java is in Unicode.
Think of Java as a Unicode black box.
So to support other encoding schemes you must be able to read and write them out properly.
The default encoding scheme is determined by your PC's regional settings and architecture ( Windows/Unix/Mainframe for byte ordering )
You normally don't want to mess with that.
What I've done in the past to support arbitrary encoding schemes of text files and databases, is force the user to select the encoding scheme themselves then explicitely use it in my code.
Look at java.io.InputStreamReader, it accepts an "encoding scheme" parameter, eg "US-ASCII" or "ISO8859_8".
So you can read a text file, which is encoding in multi-byte format this way.
That should at least give you some direction to ask the real question you want.
    regards,
    Owen
