Is it possible to configure Team calibration for Objective Setting Appraisals in EHP7

Hi Friends,
We are on EHP7. We have implemented objective setting appraisal for our client.
We have created an appraisal template under category group "Personnel appraisals". We have configured the VA, VB, VC, Column ids. Status tab flow is used from In preparation - Completed.
The enhancements are used to accommodate customer specific calculations for the scores based on the final ratings.
An additional requirement from the client is; once the appraisal process is over for a team; the team manager should be able to see the scores of his direct reportees in the MSS.
1) He should be given a provision to modify the final rating score; incase if he finds that one of the team members deserve a better score in line with the comparison of other team members. He should be able to call the template and be able to revise the final ratings from his MSS directly.
2) When he modifies the final ratings by calling the appraisal template on the MSS; that new score should be stored in the appraisal template (database tables); that is; this should overwrite the final scores which was initially calculated during the final appraisal discussion between the apprasier and appraisee. This new values should be taken for all reporting or new compensation revision process.
Should this requirement be addressed by Assessment of Employees and Calibration Process for Employee Assessments standard configurations?
If that is the option; I have already done these settings for flexible performance appraisal.
But in the MSS > under Talent Management > Assessment
We are getting a blank screen in the "In process & Completed " tabs. No employee is listed.
The calibration grid is empty. But under under talent profile; we are able to see the names of the team members.
Is there any other method available for this purpose ?

Hi Srujan,
For every paying company code you can have multiple sending company codes.
You can make this configuration in FBZP > Paying company codes tab.
Once in 'Paying company codes', here click on 'Company codes' button on top right.
This means you will need all the FBZP setup for your paying company code only.

For end users:
You shall create users with your custom role + SAP_HR_HAP_EMPLOYEE + Authorization object(described below)
Also maintain: IT 105 subtype 0001
For managers:
You shall create users with your custom role + SAP_HR_HAP_MANAGER + Authorization object(described below) {you can consider P_PERNR }
Also maintain: IT 105 subtype 0001
For OSA we have different set of standard roles:
SAP_HR_HAP_ADMINISTRATOR (for administrator)
SAP_HR_HAP_EMPLOYEE (for employee)
SAP_HR_HAP_MANAGER(for manager)
You can use combination of following authorization objects;
->S_TCODE P_TCODE (for transaction authorization)
->PLOG( for personnel planning components)
->P_HAP_DOC(Access to appraisals)
->P_ORGIN/CON(Access to HR master data)
->P_PERNR(access to HR master data)
Minimum suggetsed settings for OSA;
For PLOG :
Infotype :1000, 1001, 1002, 1048, 5020, 5021, 5022, 5023, 5024, 5025, 5026
Planning status: 4, 3
Object type: VA, VB, VC
subtype: 0001, 5020, A605, A606, A607, B605, B606, B607

What happens is, I have deployed a Solr Server on a Cloud Service, and the application folder is on E: Drive, but it is only 1.5 GB. I want to increase it, because index content created easily exceeds this limit.

Base on my experience, E drive is the app disk. The apps (application) disk is where your .cspkg is extracted and includes your website, binaries, role host process, startup tasks, web.config, and so on. It is only 1.5G (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/dn197896.aspx
). So I think you didn't worry about its space.

WebDynpro scenario for Objectives and Appraisals in ECC 6.0

Does anybody know if the scenario for Objectives and Appraisals under WebDynpro is available in ECC 6.0?
Our customer prefer not to use the BSP scenario and we know SAP was working in a new one based on WebDynpro but we can not find any information about that.
Any information will be very useful.

Error while saving for Objective setting

While saving the Objective setting templates i am getting the error as "Table HRPAD605 is not part of the Customizing object PDST T "
Error documentation is as follows
Diagnosis
Entries in table HRPAD605 cannot be edited in connection with customizing object PDST T as table HRPAD605 does not belong to customizing object PDST T, according to the object definition.
System Response
The function terminates.
Procedure
Check whether the entered objects and keys are correct.Then check in the Implementation Guide whether the object was created correctly.
Correct the object definition or the entry for the Transport Organizer interface.

Most likely the is an inconsistency with the transport objects PDST and PDWS. Please run RHSOBJCH to correct this inconsistency.
Afterwards you should be able to transport the templates via the catalog or via RHMOVE30. Please make sure that the category ID in the target system is the same otherwise you won't be able to locate the template.
The report RHSOBJCH corrects the missing HR entries in the OBJS table.
This step you need to perform only once. For OSA you need to overtake
*5020 up to *5026, also PAD605,606 and 607 references.
When you have done this (as said, only need to do it once) you can transport the categories and templates via the phap_catalog_pa transaction (righ-mouse click on the to be transported object).

Error while saving for Objective setting using tcode phap_catalog_pa.

while executing tcode phap_catalog_pa, i get the error "Table HRPAD605 is not part of customizing Object PDST T.
However, when I proceeded further to use the catalog, I am not able to make any changes and the error message i get is "Data was not saved Message no. HRHAP00_TEMPLATE003".
I also executed the solution mentioned in previous threads on the same problem i.e. run the program "RHSOBJCH" and executed the adjusting entries but to no avail.
I have SAP_ALL authorization profile assigned to me.
Would be really helpful if someone could share their insights on solutions to rectify this problem.

Hi Kalpana,
Check the configuration whether you have done it correctly or not.
And try to upload one template which is existing on the system. Download it and upload it as a template.
If the problem is still there then it will be some configuration issues.

An exception on IPS is called an event action filter, I was looking for a config example but instead I found this nice youtube video:

If you have a host that is firing a lot of false positives just select it as "attacker" and leave the signature range blank if you dont want to see any signature at all coming from this guy.

Is it possible to configure VM-FEX for testing purposes on one blade in a fully populated chassis? I would think it wouldn't be a problem on the UCS side but will this effect other stuff on the vCenter side?

You can safely test with single blade / Cisco VIC and It should not affect exsting network connectivity within UCS or vcenter.
VM-FEX will be appear as another DVS within vcenter / datacenter.

An "object type" is nothing but a an o-o class. Can you create SQL constraints on o-o classes? Usually not. Oracle is no different.
Where do you create constraints in Oracle? On tables. And yes, an o-o class (object type) can be used to create a table (aka an object table). That table can have any of the standard SQL constraints supported by Oracle.

Objectives Setting Task for new Joiners

If the objectives setting period is from 01-Jan-2013 to 31-Mar-2013 and the appraisal period is from 01-Dec-2013 to 31-Dec-2013 it is understood that the objective setting period is closed on 31-Mar-2013. Now if there are new joiners during the year how can they set their objectives. I know that we can use the Enroll program to enroll them into a plan but this does not enable the set objectives task for the new joiners. This is urgent please advice.

The performance cycle starts with Objective setting and ends with Assessments. For example: If I am having the performance cycle from Apr to March then below will be the dates i will use for setups:
Plan period - 01-Apr-XXXX to 31-Mar-XXXX
Objective setting - This is the period you want the objective setting to be available to employees. In this case if the assessment starts in Jan then the dates for Objective setting will be
Objective start date - 01-Apr-XXXX and Objective end date - 31-DEC-XXXX
Appraisal start date can be always after the objective end date.
If the above concept is clear then for new joiners the best practice is that you re-publish the plan once every month on a specific date to include the new joiners in the plan automatically based on the eligibility profile. You can try this out very easily, publish your plan and post that create a new employee and re-publish the plan the newly created employee will get enrolled into the plan

Possible to configure several communication channels for the same receiver?

is it possible to configure several communication channels for one (the same) receiver?
The problem is as follows: I would like to switch between the RFC-channel and the XI-channel, if the RFC-Adapter doesn't work for some reason.
The situation: Our XI3.0 posts messages to several receivers and the switch should be done by changing one table entry which is selected and analysed in an ABAP-Proxy and which could enrich the XML-message. By now, the only chance I see is to change the respective entries in the Integration Directory for each receiver separately.

you could also create two messages (practically two flows)
but would it be more elegant?

in my opinion you should try restarting RFC channel
and not create two - just in case...
if RFC doesn't always work why don't you use another one only?
this would just simplify your scenario (maintanance of just a number of communication channels and not 2 x number of communication channels)

Maybe this helps:
Open AirPort Utility, select your AirPort Base Station and click Manual Setup.
Select Access Control Tab.
Pick Timed Access from the list.
Now click on the "+" button, enter the MAC adress of the device you want and decide for the network time limits.
Update your Airport.
You can find the MAC adress of an iOS device by going to Settings/General/About.

Team calibration in flexible PMS EHP4

Hi PMS Gurus, Need your expert advise. We are implementing flexible PMS on EHP4 . Team calibration is a standard feature of Predefined PMS (EHP4 onwards). Due to heavy customization we are not implementing Predefined PMS but going for Flexible PMS. Our client has specifically asked for Team calibration feature. Now can we import Team calibration feature from Predefined PMS for flexible solution. Or is there any other workaround for building this feature. Or do we have to custom develop Team Calibration feature. Regards Tarun

All these years, we have been going with custom development for this forced distribution bell curve functionality. and now when SAP comes up with the Team calibration functionality, it limits to only Predefined templates. Wonder why SAP releases such nice functionalities in bits and pieces..
Let me know how you went ahead with developing this functionality; whether you developed an entirely custom application or were you able to reuse the existing Team calibration webdynpro?
