Is it possible to connect a DEV System to more than one SAP Solution Manage

Hello,
My system DEV is already connected to a first SAP Solution Manager, I would also like to reconnect the same system so that it communicates and will be monitored by a second SolMan.
Is it possible to do so and the do the operation involve any risks ?

Hello,
This is possible in many scenarios. Often this is done to distribute load, for example on Solution Manager will do the Service Desk Function, one may do ChaRM, one may be doing Monitoring & Reporting, one may be doing Diagnostics.
In these cases a managed ssytem can be connected to many Solution Manager systems.
However as Mateus has pointed out, you cannot connect one managed to two Solution Managers and do SMD on both Solution
Manager systems, but you can have more than one Solution Manager doing Diagnostics.
Even in the case of EWA, while you can connect a Managed system to multiple Solution Manager systems and have then generate a report, one of the Solution Manager systems must be defined as the Master.
So the specific scenario may place some restrictions on connecting a managed system to more than one Solution Manager,
but for most instances it can be done.

Yes, your license key is cross platform PC & or Mac you are allowed to have two current installations with one in use at any point in time. You can uninstall / install as many times as is necessary so long as you adhere to the limits.

I'm using SAP TREX 6.1 together with an 4.6c System. Now I want to connect the TREX to more than one R/3 System, so that every R/3 System has got its own Index-Category on the TREX Host.
Does somebody know what I have to enter in the ini files -->TREXRfcServer.ini and in the TREXDaemon.ini? Perhaps there are some other important things that have to be considered at the usage of TREX 6.1 with 2 or more connected SAP R/3 Systems?!

Follow the steps below and you should be able to connect via SAP Logon Ticket.
1. Set your system definition in portal to read SAPLOGONTICKETS.
2. Go to your R3 server and execute transaction SM30, maintain table view TWPSSO2ACL
3. Create a new entry with your portal ID and client info. Subject name and Issuer name is extracted from your portal Key Administration under DN of Owner and DN or Issuer. Remember to enter your serial number (normally oo if you only have one portal instance on your server)save this entry.
4. Next download your portal certificate in der format from your Key Administration page. Unzip the file and you should have a verify.der certificate.
5. Execute STRUSTSSO2 in R3, import your verify.der certificate into R3, then click on add to certificate list, also click on add to ACL list. Save entry.
6 As for ITS, all you need is to add the parameter ~myssocookies2 = 1, restart your ITS.
7. remember to remove your user mapping befor testing the connectivity.

Can more than one SAP ERP system connect to the same PI system?

Well i am new to SAP Process Integration 7.1 and i have managed to point PI system to SAP DEV ERP , but i also want to add these other 2 systems SAP QAS ERP and SAP PRD ERP Using RFC Adapter. So is it possible to integrate SAP QAS and SAP PRD ERP into the same PI system that is pointing to SAP DEV ERP. If possible what are the configuration steps that i should follow?.
This project implementation is based on SAP MDM 7.1/ SAP PI 7.1/ ECC EHP6.

Technically this is possible. But don't forget that all systems are then using the same ESR and ID. So changes on PI are also influencing ERP QAS and PRD. I don't recommend this. At least you should have 2 stages for PI: Development and QAS/PRD.
You just need to maintain 2 connections in ERP: ESR connection and RFC connection. For using the interfaces in PI for all 3 stages you need to create 3 different configurations in Integration Builder of PI.

WRT 120N- Cannot connect to the internet with more than one PC at a time.

Before I went on a three month vacation,I could connect 3 or 4 PC's either wireless or wired to my router with no problems at all.I have a desk top and a laptop computer which I use at home.After I returned,I found that I could connect to the internet with only one PC at a time.
If I was say,connected via my laptop,my desk top would continuously keep getting disconnected and vice versa.I have been reading the suggestions from experts here and have done a few checks based on them.I also cannot get to my router page which is 192.168.1.1 I keep getting a message that says "Problem Loading Page" and this happens with both,Firefox and Internet Explorer.I am running Windows 7 - 32 bit on my desk top and Vista Home Premium on my laptop.
I have opened the "Command Prompt" dialogue and pinged 192.168.1.1 and thereafter I typed in "ipconfig".These are the results:

I presume that this model is a modem **bleep** router as I do not have a separate modem with my system.I have a DSL connection and the firmware version of my router is ver.1.0.If I recall,I did upgrade to the next firmware upgrade a few months after I purchased the router but I am not sure.
I use both my PC's to run a small business venture and I am worried that resetting the router may cause some other problems and will stop me from using the internet.
The Command Prompt information above was taken from my laptop.
Any help will be really appreciated.

The results I obtained using ipconfig in the command prompt have already been mentioned in my OP.
I do not know if the above result is what it is supposed to be but I still cannot access my router's home page.How do I verify if there is a proxy server and if there is one,how do I disable it in my browsers?This problem occured suddenly as a few months earlier all was well.It's getting rather frustrating.

Is it possible to install Creative Suite CS6 on more than one computer?

Hi, I have Creative Suite on one computer already, but that computer recently went kaput, and the only one I have left is a Mac (the previous one ran Windows). Is it possible for me to install it on the new computer?

Unfortunately, Creative Suite serial numbers are operating system specific: Mac only or Windows only.
So, although you're entitled to activate the software on up to 2 computers at the same time, they must both be Macs or both be PCs. You cannot use a Windows serial number on a Mac.
You'll have to apply to Adobe for a platform transfer to CS6 for Mac.

1. Is there any relation ship between the tables (Means common Key).
- If the above condition is Ok then directly you can use view.
2. If there is no relation you have to FM.

JNDI : connection problem while storing data more than one records

I am persisting data into the MSSQL Server 2005 database using the JNDI lookup. I can insert the single record at a time, but when I ran the test program for 10 or 20 records i am getting the following exception on Jboss

You can try couple of things.
If your data is less than 32767, you can pass it to stored procedure and change it to clob type like
PROCEDURE CLOBQUERY
     Param     IN     CLOB,
and you can call Procedure
EXECUTE CLOBQUERY '[Param.1]'
If your data is around than 1000000(32767*32), you can break the data in length of 32767 and pass it to param 1 to 32 like
EXECUTE CLOBQUERY '[Param.1][Param.2][Param.3]..[Param.32]'
Finally you can try to update jdbc drive.

which has a section about "importing a project with multiple class folders" but what they describe, does not work.
One thing I could do is merge everything into one folder, and then have my ant script sort things out into jars, but that doesn't make as much sense as having two source trees.

Yes it does! Open the project properties using right mouse on project tree element -> Properties then select Sources -> Add Folder.

Is it possible to assign a TIN number to more than one Vendor?

Hi there. This is my first post ever in this community. I have little experience with SAP and had come across the following situation: I have two different W-9 forms for 2 vendors with different addresses and names but with the same TIN number. These two entities are related. One provides us with the fuel cards service and the other one with lodging cards service. Our current SAP configuration only allows one TIN number per vendor. SAP configuration is determined by our Head Office in Spain and this rule is applied across all subsidiaries worldwide. Question is: how do US companies handle this situation in SAP? Thanks.

You can mention up to 4-5 tin numbers for a single vendor at 'Control' tab in master data T.Codes: XK01 or FK01. But you cant get the reports per tin number wise. You have to contact your developer to get this report.

More than one SAP systems on same Windows Server 2003 - Oracle 10g

Hello Experts,
We have Windows Server 2003 with 32 GB RAM, 2 quadcore CPU, plenty of space. Already running with NW 700 AS Java on Oracle 10g.
Now we need to install a seperate NW 700 AS Java central instance - so please help me in clarifying following doubts - we don't want to use MCOD.
1. Do we need to install Oracle 10g software again or we can use the existing Oracle 10g installed files. If yes then will the Oracle Home for both the SAP instances will be same - any steps needs to be done for that.
2. Any other steps which needs to be taken care before and after the second instance installation.
3.SAP Note 98252 - speaks about changes in oraInst.loc before the second instance installation - Does it applicable for Windows - Oracle environment also. I am not able to find out this file.
Listener and Tnsnames file changes mentioned in this note seems to be applicable on windows platform also.
Pointers to related documentation would be highly appreciated.

Theoretical you can use the same ORACLE_HOME, but i would really recommend to install the database software again in a different ORACLE_HOME. It will make a lot of things easier

The same as by the first installation, but keep in mind of the listener port - you will need to specify a different one.

On windows it is a registry key (for more information please take a look at metalink note #564192.1)

Connecting iPod to more than one computer

Is it possible to connect a iPod Nano to more than one computer? I downloaded itunes on my home computer and set my ipod up just fine. Then i wanted to connect it to my office computer because i have a bunch of music on it that i would like to put on my ipod. Every time i try to connect to my office computer I get an error message "iTunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode. You must restore this ipod before it can be used with itunes.
Any ideas or information would be appreciated.

Yes it is. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. In this mode you can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:

Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. In that case use Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray on your desktop or check this link: Safely Disconnect IPod

Have you had a chance to look at this troubleshooting page? If not, have a look at the bottom section and try changing the drive letter allocated to the iPod in Windows:

IT 0105 subtype 0001. Assign one System user to more than one person?

We are maitaining Hr master data (infotype 0105 - Communication, subtype 0001 - System User name). We have two person: person A and person B. Person A have communication with system user C. When we communicate person B with same system user C, we gettin error:
"ID/number already used for person A".
The time constraint is set to 3 (Record may include gaps, can exist more than once"
Is it possible to assign one system user more than one person?
This condition is checked by FM CHECK_USRID. We assume, what the result of this checking can be changed from "Error" to "Alert", if we will change one record in table T77S0:
Current value:
GRPID=MAIL
SEMID=SAPSY
GSVAL=0001
Table record after modification:
GRPID=MAIL
SEMID=SAPSY
GSVAL=0002 (or any digital value, which is iffer from "0001"
Should we expect negative consequences of similar modification?

where p0105-usrty=0001 and hr_subty is equivalent field GSVAL=0001 in table T77S0. In other terms, when we are
maitain subtype 0001, the first condition (marked bold) is always executed.
For what the "else" condition is used, if it never be executed? If we will change value GSVAL from 0001 to 0002, theoretically, we will get "warning" instead "error", because p0105-usrty = hr_subty=false and code MESSAGE w900 WITH object_found double will be executed.
Any ideas?
