Is it possible to connect Satellite P200 to Xbox 360

Hi,
I was wondering if my xbox 360 can be somehow connected to my Satellite P200 notebook so I could use the screen to play my games on.
Thanks in advance
Steve.

Dont think so!
As far as I know it was possible to connect the first Xbox to a Qosmio G20 but as Im not mistaken its not possible to use the Xbox360 with the P200.
But why you dont check the user manual?
If something like that would be possible then the user manual should provide any details

  • Is it possible to connect satellite dish directly to Qosmio G20?

    Hy everyone,
I have a Qosmio G20-PQG21. The receiver is 60 meters away from laptop position. In this case the channel cannot be changed. The problem this person want to change the channels. The problem is quite simple... can i connect the coaxial cable from dish directly to tv tunner and setup the program guide? or do you have another solution for my situation?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
In my opinion its not possible to connect the satellite cable directly to the Qosmio.
You cannot also connect the TV directly with the satellite dish. Its the same case on the notebook. You need a sat receiver between the notebook and sat dish.
    There are two possibilities:
1.) You will buy a longer cable from the sat dish to the receiver and place the receiver nearer notebook.
2.) You will place the notebook nearer the sat receiver ;)

Note that this one is for PAL. If you NTSC TV then you will need to find similair for that.

  • How do I connect Airport Extreme to XBox 360 live

I just bought an Airport Extreme to use as my wireless router.  Everything connected beautifully EXCEPT my all in one HP Printer and my XBOX 360.  If I manually enter the settings, I can connect but only for a minute or 2.  Once my son starts using xbox LIVE, the connection gets dropped.  All instructions I can find must be for older utilities.  I eventually plugged in my old G Router into an open LAN port on the back of the Airport Extreme and got my printer working when connecting to the old network ID but still can't get XBOX 360 to connect and stay connected.  Any help is appreciated.

Ok, thanks for the update. Do you have the Xbox connected to the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) by Ethernet (wire) or by wireless? If wireless, temporarily connect it by Ethernet to verify that you can get connectivity via this method.
If you were using wireless, which of the following is the wireless adapter that you are using?
    802.11g or
    802.11n?

  • Can not connect with people on Xbox 360

Ok here is the initial problem. If I try to join with someone on my xbox I'm unable to. I have checked the xbox.com site and opened the ports that they suggested. This opened up my NAT. I'm using a WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router, and have upgraded my firmware just yesterday (11/14/08), then unplugged my router, modem, and shutdown my xbox 360. I waited 30 seconds and starting with the router started plugging them back in, waiting, and continuing on to my modem, then xbox. I've done just about everything I could think of, and have been told. After all this no sucess. If anyone has an idea I would be greatful.

Go to applications and gaming tab
Now Forward the ports you have to this static ip address, which you assign to your XBOX
Usually ports used by xbox are:88 & 3074, which you can forward.  Hi...dont worry about the setup wizard, you can configure router by manual method also.Follow this:Connect modem to router's internet port, and computer to a port 1.Press reset on back of router for a minuteTurn off modem & routerAfter 2 minutes turn on modem and after 2 more minutes turn on routerOpen setup page of router by typing http://192.168.1.1 in browser's address bar, and typing password as "admin" and no user nameGo to wireless tab, here change wireless network name from linksys to any other name.Go to wireless security sub-tab here change security mode to WEP, make sure encryption level is 64 bits. And here in key 1 box, enter a ten digit number, and this ten digit number will be security key of your wireless network. Now from wireless computer search for available networks and get connected to your own network using your network key.Well you have mentioned that you unplugged "USB" cable from back of tower which was coming from modem and plugged it into internet on router. But the router cannot work with with USB cable all five are ethernet ports(internet and 1,2,3,4). So i don't think the USB cable will fit into internet port on router. Before installing router you have to make sure you can get online from modem directly using ethernet cable and not using USB cable.Your internet service provider can provide help about it, to change    Try to press reset button a bit harder, and while pressing the reset observe the power light, it should be blinking(which is solid while normal operation of router). Let the power blink for 1 minute.
After this reboot the router and try logging using admin as password The resetting of router is indicated by flashing of power light   To get WEP key, connect your computer to one of the four ports on router using ethernet cable.Open setup page of router by typing http://192.168.1.1 in browser;s address bar, and typing password as "admin" and no user name. Use your password if you have changed it earlier.Go to wireless tab, at top in black barGo to wireless security sub-tab, in blue bar at topHere note down wep key number 1. This will be your network key which you have to use on your wireless computers.

  • WRT54G v2 with Strict NAT when connected via ethernet to Xbox 360

Hello, I apologize if this is in the wrong board as the router, although it is a wireless model, is connected to the Xbox 360 via ethernet cable, so I was a bit torn on where to place it. Router Model, Firmware version: WRT54G v2, v4.21.1 The problem and details are as follows: The Xbox 360 is running on the default settings. Literally, I plugged it into the router via ethernet and it automatically grabbed an IP (192.168.1.101) and the right information to connect to Xbox Live. The router is still running the default range of 50 IPs, so 100 to 149; the 360 was just the second thing to connect. Another computer is connected to the router via ethernet and a laptop is connected wirelessly, if this might affect the case at all. When using the Network Test feature of the Xbox 360, everything is operating perfectly except the NAT is giving me a Strict reading. Some of my games require an Open NAT for me to be able to access some features such as hosting a co-op match. Simply put, what do I need to do inside the router's settings that would give me an Open NAT on the Xbox 360?

well try reducing the MTU values to 1365 on the router, also try triggering 88, 3074 ports on the router...

  • Connect Imac wirelessly with Xbox 360

I've got the Wireless Networking Adaptor for the Xbox 360 but I need my Network Settings to connect to my Imac.
The instruction books says I need the following:
    Workgroup Name
    802.11g/b Network
    Wireless Network Name(SSID)
    802.11a/b Network
    Wireless Network Name(SSID)
    Wireless Security Setting
Where on earth do I find these?
    Thanks in advance

Duane:"In the AirPort discussion area it has became clear that this does not work. OS X's Internet Sharing does not properly support the Xbox's attempt to connect to an on-line gaming network."
Sorry, that is complete rubbish.I eventually worked out all i needed was my WEP key found on router and within 5 minutes I was connected to XBox Live an working like a dream. Also added Connect 360 so I can view my movies.photos and my music transferred wirellessly from my IMAC to my TV via my Xbox.
    FANTASTIC!

  • Connectivity issues with TC & Xbox 360

Has anyone experienced any issues connecting Xbox 360 wireless with the TC? TC works okay with my Macbook Pro and my wife's ibook. I have called support and have tried almost everything I can think of...I was just wondering if anyone has been successful with this.

The lack of Xbox connectivity is shaping up as a problem for many early adopters. Last December Xbox had a system update that, according to a list of new features, "added support to connect to Apple Extreme routers in 802.11a/n mode." However early adapters are choosing the 802.11a/n option in manual setup and the Xbox still does not recognize Time Capsule.
An older workaround for Airport Extreme routers had users set the router for "b and g only" (not n, b and g). This too seems not to work for Time Capsule/Xbox. The only success an adapter has had is with an Ethernet cable plugged directly from router to Xbox -- not an option when the two are in separate rooms.
Though I believe this is a problem with the Xbox, which rejects many n-class routers, I'm hoping someone here can suggest a workaround for wireless success.

  • Connecting a PS3 or Xbox to iMac

The display on the 24" iMac is essentially equivalent to an HDTV. Is there a way to connect a PS3 or Xbox 360 to my iMac? I am a new switcher from the world of PC's, so I am totally clueless when it comes to this stuff. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Guy's
EyeTV Hybrid also comes with a break-out cable for composite video and S-Video, enabling you to connect a set-top box for premium channels, digital cable or satellite.

  • Xbox 360 with wrt54gs V2 connection problems

Been trying to set this up for a wired connection and getting nowhere. Firmware version is 4.71.1. Reason I have the higher firmware is for the WPA security which I don't think the xbox supported firmware version provides. BTW, have four computers, two wired, two wireless, connecting through the router. If I connect the xbox directly to the DSL modem I get connected and sometimes (and I mean sometimes) get an IP but always fail on the DNS. ISP is verizon. Verizon says to call Xbox, Xbox gave up after their flow charts ran out of options. If I hook the cable through the router I get no connection and the connection light on the router blinks on and off very slowly. I've tried every setting in the book and cant get a connection. My thought is by going through the router the connections for the xbox can be negotiated by the router instead of the ISP, plus other systems can also connect. Any thoughts on what could be preventing the connection? Would a new router solve the problem? It is four or five years old, has never been a problem, but could it possibly be too old for an xbox 360? Any suggestions on a model that would work in this configuration? Thanks

Lowered the MTU to 1498 and didn't make a difference, at least not yet. What I have noticed on the router is the connection light for the xbox is in a very slow, cyclical on / off rotation. Where all of the other lights for connected systems are rapidly moving this one is not.

  • Connecting T6100 to xbox 360

someone please help me!!!! i got the inspire t6100 surround system but i cant work out how to connect it to my xbox 360! is there any way to connect using a digital optical cable?

    @jason-cl
Sorry buddy, why creative is still recommending people to buy DDTS-100 and still advertising it on its website ? I thought the product is discontinued. I think creative should remove it from its website if it's discontinued. Please kindly make clear of this. A lot of people desperately search for this great product, I'm one of them, luckily I can get one without any warranty, but not everyone as lucky as I am. Thx

  • Connecting XBOX 360 Wirelessly to WRT300N V1.1

If you suffer from a slow connection when using your Xbox 360 usb wireless adapter and the wrt300n router, then fret no more! I called both xbox and linksys and below is what I came up with, which made my connection to Xbox Live work properly. This may even work with other routers as well
Setup for WRT300N V1.1 connected wirelessly to an XBOX 360 USB Wireless Adapter.
Connection Type: High Speed Cable Internet.
    Select Setup
     Select Basic Setup
Change the MTU setting to manual, edit size to be 1365.
    Save
    Select Security
Deselect the “Filter Anonymous Internet Requests”
    Save
    Select Applications & Gaming
    Select PortRange Forwarding
For the first port input the following:
    Start ~ EndPort: 88 to 88
    Protocol: UDP
    To IP Address: 100
    Check Enable
    Application Name: xbox1
For the second port input the following:
    Start ~ EndPort: 3074 to 3074
    Protocol: Both
    To IP Address: 100
    Check Enable
    Application Name: xbox2
    Save
    Select Administration
    Disable Upnp
    Save
This should allow for a smooth connection.

Thank you for your reply.  However, there is still some confusion on my part.
How does setting up a static IP on the PC help me connect to the Xbox 360 wirelessly?   Please explain.
The static IP Doesn't help you connect wirelessly, it helps you set up port forwarding properly.   So that is step 1
Step 2 would be for you connecting wirelessly, and I am pretty sure the actiontec is already security enabled, so if it is then you would look on the router itself for a silverish sticker that has an ESSID and a WEP KEY   When going through your xbox set up you will have a list of networks to choose from, make sure what you try to connect to matches the ESSID found physically on the router, and then it will ask you for a password or a network key and that is when you put in your WEP key.   That would get you on wirelessly.
the static ip is exclusively for your port forwarding and should only really be used if once your connected to the xbox wirelessly - if it's still having trouble.   that would be when you would set up the port forwarding as I kinda described earlier.  so you put in your xbox the static ip address, and then your router will route traffic to and from it based on that ip.   mine didn't need the static ip it would connect wirelessly automatically or via dhcp, but when the network dragged or i got bad performance, that is when I went to port forwarding.

  • Touch won't connect to Xbox 360

I bought my ipod touch a few weeks ago and I cannot connect it to my xbox 360, my previuos Ipod was a Nano and it worked perfectly well.
    HELP ME PLEASE

Look in the packaging and pieces of paper that came with the Xbox 360. Mine came with a piece of paper advertising the ability to connect and listen to your iPod, and at the bottom it had a disclaimer saying that it doesn't work with the iPhone or iPod touch.

  • WRT54G v6 - Troubles connecting XBOX 360 to XBOX Live?

I just purchased a new XBOX 360 and I'm finding that I can't connect to XBOX Live using my WRT54G v6 (firmware version 1.01.1).
If I connect the XBOX 360 directly to my DSL modem, I can connect to XBOX Live.
If I try to connect the XBOX 360 to the WRT54G v6 (using either a direct ethernet connection, or using the XBOX 360 Wireless adapter) I can't connect to XBOX Live.
When I run the diagnostic tests on the XBOX 360, all of my connection tests pass with flying colours.
Has anyone else had this problem?  How do you fix it?

hi, i have just recently bought the wireless adapter for the 360, and i keep getting boot off xbox live when ever my brother turns his PS3 on or off. even when a house call is made or comes in i get booted. if my brother doesnt turn his PS3 on or a call doesnt come in or go out, i can play fine, but once one of those happens i get booted. noone knows what i can do, xbox told me to call linksys, i was never able to talk to a real person on the phone, just machines. does any one have a clue??? i was told to change my NAT, but it's open, so i dont know what to do.
