Is it possible to copy my iPod music back to my iTunes?
I had to re-install XP and I lost my iTunes, but I have my songs on my iPod. Cannot seem to find out how to put the iPod songs back to my newly downloaded iTunes. Have a large compilation of music that took a long time to move to the iPod and would be a waste to lose it..Any ideas for novice?

Is it possible to move my iPod music back to my iTunes?
We have a large compilation of music on our iPods, but I had to re-install XP recently, and I lost out iTunes. I re-installed iTunes, but I cannot load the songs back to iTunes from our nanos. Is there a way I can do this or am I SOL?
You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes. The transfer of non iTMS content is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of these here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

The transfer of purchased content to an authorised computer has recently been introduced with iTunes 7, look under under File>"Transfer Purchases from iPod". A paragraph on it has been added to this article: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer -

I want to copy my iPod music to an old iPad, how
Hey Mr Hayes,
Thanks for the question. If you have purchases you would like to transfer from your iPod to an iPad, you can do so with iTunes on a computer:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
iTunes: Transferring media from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPod
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1209
Once you have transferred your media, you can then setup syncing for your iPad:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad

Thanks,

Unfortunately I have deleted my entire itunes library and back up from my computer, is there any way I can copy my ipod nano back onto my computer into the itunes library? and re-download all the tunes I have purchased from I tunes.
Hello bigali,
Your options are kinda limited. I would use this first:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and ...
Then check here for the non-purchased items:

You want to rebuild the library first, then sync the ipod.
Here is a good idea for when your done:

Hope this helps.

As you already knew, no, you cannot create a new iCloud account from anything but the above devices.

Putting Ipod Music back into library?
I had to reformat my computer and after storing all of my important files on my nano I figured that once every thing was reinstalled I would also be able to move my music back into my itunes library. It isn't letting me do this. Is there anyway that I can get my library back?
I use this app-

Well worth the 15$ price tag, and the interface is great!
Hope that helps,

My computer crashed. How do I sync the songs on my iPod nano back to my iTunes account?
My PC crashed and I need to sync my iPod nano back to my iTunes account. How do I do that?
This is a problem I've had before too, but it's fairly easy to fix without even using iTunes:
Make sure in the folders options on your computer, you are able to view hidden files and folders.
Then, go into your iPod with my Computer>iPod control>music. There will be folders called F00, F01, F02 etc. In them will be the music on your iPod (in mp3 or aac format). The file names will be weird, like DGFB or HRRE or whatever, but iTunes or Windows Media Player (if you have Windows 7) will recognise the media info.
Basically, just copy the files out of the folders and back onto your computer and put them into iTunes like you normally do.
If you do this right it will work because I have done this before when my computer got a really bad virus and I had to reset it, as I couldn't even log on properly. -
How can you get your iTunes music back when your iTunes Match expires & you no longer have access to the computer it ws stored on?

I recently had to uninstall itunes and reinstall it again. How do I get my previously purchased music back on my itunes?
Depending on what country that you are in you might be able to re-download past music purchases via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page - re-downloading : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
But if you only re-installed iTunes and you didn't remove the actual music from your computer, then it should still be on there, and you should be able to add it back into iTunes via File > Add Folder To Library - by default your iTunes content should have been stored under :
Windows 7 and Vista : \users\username\My Music\iTunes.
Windows XP : \user\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes. -
Reformatted My Computer, How do I copy Ipod music back to Computer?
I Had To reformat my hard drive to reinstall windows XP to upgrade my cpu to a Dual core and backed everything up that was important except my podcasts and itunes folders thinking I could reinstall them from my ipod. Boy was I wrong! Your website only says what to if I still had my old Itunes folders on another computer, I tried the itunes 6.05 and the new 7 and can't find any way to copy my ipod back over. My music on the ipod is all backed up on another hard drive so thats not a big deal but, i couldn't figure how to back up the podcasts so how can i put them back in the computer? IF I hit Sync I know they will just disappear?
Amd X2-4800 Asus A8V Windows XPI am not too sure about podcasts, but for the music files I just managed to do it as following:-

Is it possible to sync an Ipod touch 2nd generation to itunes to download music?
I have been trying to sync my Ipod touch 2nd generation to itunes and it says its completed, but then the music doesn't transfer to the device and I know I can't upgrade to IOS 5 so is it impossible to download music to it? I just bought it today used to $54 so I am growing incredibly frustrated.
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Hello community,
I edited the artists through iTunes, but it did not edit the actual mp3 file on my computer. Is it possible to convert the artists I have edited through iTunes to be able to have the artists on the actual mp3 files instead of just in iTunes?I don't think you can change the name of your computer but you can change the name of your itunes library.
iTunes Preference, General Overtype the Name in the Library Name Box,
Then your iTunes library will show the new name
