Is it possible to create a link to a pop-up window from an image map in dreamweaver?

I'm trying to use an image map as my home page. As it is a simple site I want the links on the image map to open in a small 200 x 200 pixel pop-up window.
I seem to only be able to have it open in a new tab.
Thanks for any help!

That site uses Cyber Studio javascript actions. Cyba Studio was discontinued years ago.
If you're code savy enough you can extract the javascipt from the site and the csactions and rebuild to your own requirements. It's not that difficult but you do need to know your way around the code environment in Dreamweaver.
Give us another site link and I'll take a look to see if there is anything more up-to-date code handing these pop_ups.

  • Is it possible to create a link on the content of a text annotation??

Is it possible to create a link on the content of a annotation??? Like the content of an annotation is some notes as well as a link...
    content -
    this is my first annotation(notes)
    http://www.google.co.in/(link)
is it possible to create a link for the url given in the content of an annotation??? On click on the url...it should get opened...
    please reply its really urgent....

How/where do you want to accomplish it?
Within the document? Using Acrobat? Using another application?
Using Acrobat within the document would be possible using Acrobat JavaScript. You can access the annotation objects of your document, and you then can evaluate the properties of each of these objects. Have a closer look at the Annotation Object section in the Acrobat JavaScript documentation.
You will look for the contents property, and evaluate its content. When you have found something looking like a URL, you can create a link (using the rect property of the annotation), and you have what you want; you might then think to destroy the annotation, as it may overlay the link.
    Hope this can help.

Is it possible to create a link that I can place on a website to an internet radio stream on iTunes?

Yes, but it WON'T play through the browser. It'll require any visitor who clicks it to have iTunes installed, and it'll open iTunes as soon as they do.

No, you would need to use your web design program to do that.

  • How to create a hyperlink on a pop up window?

    Hi,
How to create a hyperlink on a pop up window?
The pop up window appears on right click in a transaction.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Varun

    Hi Varun,
While in transaction CRMD_BUS2000111 -> Opportunity -> select any -> partner tab, when I right click I get a standard pop up.
I want to introduce my hyperlink in that standard pop up.
you should have mentioned that earlier, that's the most complex part!
This is called a contextual menu (for more information, read [SAP Library: Context Menus|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/94/c4a6377cc0c92ce10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm ]).
Adding a menu item (that is not called an hyperlink, or is there something I didn't understand?) there is probably a modification of the standard. Either modifying the ABAP, or adding it to a GUI status of type "contextual menu".
There are number of demo programs, like DEMO_DYNPRO_CONTEXT_MENU, CTMENU_BUILD, CTMENU_DYNPRO...

  • Is it possible to create view link on programatic VOs

I tried creating a view link between 2 programatic VOs but did not get a clean way to get the where clause.
It appears that the where clause has to be dependent on the EOs which does not exist in this case.
On creating the view link,i need the following where clause:
    VO1.col1 = VO2.col1 ( i.e. :Bind_col1 = VO2.col2)
Is this possible ? The query getting built here is showing up as null bind variable i.e. :Bind_col1 is null
Please suggest how to get over this issue.

  • ICWC: Is it possible to create a link in a message in the error line

    Hi,
after saving a service order in the IC WebClient the success message (including the object id) is shown in the persistent header area of the ICWC - in the error single line.
Is there a possibility to have a link in this area? I want to create a link onto the object id to directly get into this order again.
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Ben

    Hi,
thanks for your response. Just for the understanding, in my case there are no error messages displayed in the error line. The only visible message is the success note "service ticket XYZ is saved successfully". After saving the ticket correctly we have to navigate to a different view. Changing this is not possible.
So the new client requirement is to create a link at the "XYZ" (object id) in this error (success) message. But I think there is no possiblity to get a navigational link or a usual html-link at that place.
Maybe you got some more ideas?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Ben

  • Creating 3 links each with pop-up text box on the same slide

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a slide that has 3 links and each link has a pop-up text box. I do not want to separate the pop-up text into separate slides. I have it so that there are 3 click boxes and each have the action "show" the proper text box. I also created another click box that acts as a close button where the action is to hide the pop-up box. I have an extra click box hidden on the page to make sure the user stays on the page and not automatically advance.
Once I have the user click on the first "link" it shows the text box. Once the user clicks the close click box it takes the user to the next slide. I just need it so that it shows the user the pop-up text and then when the user closes the pop-up and returns to showing the 3 options/links. So it basically refreshes the slide instead of going to the next slide.
    Thanks,

This will be a little tricky to achieve. This is because per default Adobe has decided that any interactive object (like a button or a click box) that has a user defined action on it (like continue, pause, open URL etc.) automatically continues to play the project when clicked.
Therefore when you click your button it will show your textbox, but it will also continue to play on your timeline.
You can read some more about it here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/479725?tstart=0
I did something similar to what you want one time and I just created a bunch of click boxes and made them very small and put them in a corner. The click boxes were placed on the timeline with 0.2 seconds between the pauses. Then I created my "real" buttons to show/hide the text boxes and placed them on the timeline before the other click boxes.
The result is that once a user clicks your button it will show the text caption you want - continue on the timeline and pause at the first click box. When they click another button the same will happen. Just make sure that you have a lot of click boxes (I think I put like 30) and make sure that your navigation button for advancing to the next slide is set to "go to next slide" and not "continue" as that would make it pause at all your click boxes as well.

  • Creating a pop up window from a link

I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm building a new
website and awhile ago I saw a cool effect which someone did on
their site. Basically what I would like to do is when I click on a
link in my page a pop up or a window opens, NOT A BROWSER, a stand
alone window appears on top of the page where the link was clicked.
When this window opens the page behinds dims to highlight this
window. Then inside this window images or video could be placed.
Apple also has this on their site where when you click on an image
of one of their computers a window opens to reveal a bigger image.
Their window also gives off a drop shadow on the page behind which
is nice. I am not much of a coder so any help would be much
appreciated. Another thing, would it be possible in this pop up
window to say if you wanted to view images that at the bottom of
this window was a slider with images and the main image above this
and as you click on the images in the slider they fade in above but
    full size?

  • How to forbid the use of right click to open a pop up window  from a link ?

I would like to prevent the user from opening pop up windows using the right button of the mouse on a link.
    Is it possible ?
Thank you in advance for any help and suggestion.

Is this regarding OAF ? if this is a requirement in OAF, then its not possible(unless you put in some javascript function in the page).
If you want to do it in other jsps there are a lot of examples available in google on how to do this.
    Thanks

  • Link to a pop-up window

    Hello
I have a link to another site and I've set it as a pop-up window.
However I'd like the pop-up window not have the toolbars and other elements. Is that possible?
    thanks

    Hello,
This setting is related to the browser, not specific to Muse. In Firefox, there is an option in the "Tabs" options section, that says, "open new windows in a new tab instead" (check this screenshot: http://jingsite.businesscatalyst.com/jing/2013-09-04_2318.png). Enabling this option did the trick for me, and the pop up box that opens up on clicking the "Now in Paperback" section of your site opened in a new tabbed window instead.
I didn't find a matching option in Chrome for the above, and found that Chrome allows only tabbed browsing.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Possible to create a link in PDF?

I am new the Acrobat SDK.  I have been asked to develop a tool that searches for a specific string in a PDF document and then creates a UNC link from it to a shared document on the network.
This is currently done manually using the Adobe Acrobat product.  However we'd like to automate this process as it needs to be repeated for severl documents.  Reading the SDK docs, it was not immediately clear to me if it supports editing the document by creating links.
Does anybody know if this is possible and can you point me towards any documentation on this topic?
    Thanks.

    HI Bernd,
The video above does not show me how to link to a video have it start playing.
I know it is also possible in indesign to have a button link to a specific point in a video, but I haven't been able to find out how to do that from a text link.
so for example. the text could say "watch our video, or click here to learn about subject two".
where - "learn about subject two" takes the user to a specific part of the video, and makes it start to play.

  • Is it possible to create a link from a picture's metadata to a test file?

    Hi everyone,
I am looking for a way to get a direct link to the picture's deposited right of utilisation. I prefer a link in the picture's meta data to a text file - e.g. pdf or doc. Is that possible?
    PC with Lightroom5.
    Thanks a lot for help!

To build on Ian's suggestion, you can include URLs to files on the computer, e.g.
An easy way to construct such a URL is to go to your browser, give the Open File command (in Chrome, it's File > Open File), and then browse to the desired file.  The browser will open the file, and you can copy the URL from its address bar.
If you don't like using the IPTC:Website field for this purpose, or if you want more than one field in which to store URLs, I think the Custom Metadata plugin would provide that capability. The author is very helpful and a frequent contributor here.
Finally, you might consider my Any File plugin.  It lets you directly import files of any type into your catalog.  For example, you could import the release PDFs for an image and stack the release and the image together.
