Is it possible to create a log in Pages?

I'm not sure I'm asking the right question:
What I would like to be able to do is to create a document that is easily updated by sorting subject matter into distinct groups.
For purpose of this thread lets just say that I am keeping notes about Fords and Chevys. And these notes can be further subdivided into. for instance, engines, brake systems and so on. But at the end of the day, I would like to have the option of sorting all of my notes so that all of the Ford brake notes end up under Fords > Ford Brakes and ditto with the Chevy notes. And - I would also like to just start entering data on the 'last page' and worry about sorting all the notes entered on another day.
I know this sounds like a job for FileMaker (maybe ...), which I have, but that seems like overkill to me when all I want to do is keep my notes organized. At the moment I am using TextEdit to do this but I am not able to sort individual notes and put them into their respective places. I hope I have explained this clearly enough to be understood.
A little voice is going, "What about OmniLiner, dummy?" Would this work? I have never read a word about this app.

Funny you say that because I have been using Pages in table form to do just that. It works, but to be completely 'transparent', I have not spent much time tweaking it to determine just how far I can mold it to my wishes. For instance, If I could convert it into a Tab format that would be ideal. IOW, each tab would be sub-category, which no doubt you have already surmised.
At this moment I am trying to master Painter X which is a very difficult painting (obviously) app to master. When I learn something I must make note of it so I can refresh myself later on until it becomes second nature. I was using TextEdit for this, but soon realized that I had a wealth of info but none of which was organized. Bottom line: it was pretty much useless as a real reference. That was when I began using Pages in table form. In addition, I insert screen grabs to further clarify my notes
I will go back into Pages this afternoon and see what else I can glean from this app. I love Pages, so hopefully my tab wishes will be realized. The drawers are great, but they track pages not subjects which is what I need.
I really appreciate your help.

Problems with creating a Log In page

Hi there.
I have built a Log In form with creating an html form for
username and password. I have already built a registration page and
succesfully seen usernames and passwords in the MYSQL databae.
On building the Log In form I used the user Authentification
- Log In User feature on Dreamweaver. It all kinda looks OK in
terms of connected to my databade and the specific table / columns
etc.
So the problem....When I check this in the browser and hit
submit page it goes blank and just refreshes really quick to the
same log in page. It doesn't on a succesful log got back to the
home page or an unsuccesful one go to the error page.as I have
indicated. Any thoughts?

The answer is that you can set a custom x-y coordinate space or select a canned x-y coordinate space from the ISO A series or any of the industry and US national series.
This fact is not based on the application software, but on your own use of a digital graphic device that draws patterns of picture elements. Your display and your printer are digital graphic devices.
With a digital graphic device, the application, the OS and the driver don't communicate in ASCII control codes for carriage return and so forth.
The application, the OS and the driver communicate in x-y coordinate spaces within which you set other coordinates for typography frames and photography frames.
This is what you see in Apple Pages layout mode as well as in the layout mode of Microsoft Word, and in any version of Aldus PageMaker since 1985, QuarkXPress since 1987 and so on and so forth.
When you are done and have exported your design to disk as Adobe PDF, the x-y coordinate space you set for the design space can be seen as the Media Box in Apple Preview > View > PDF Display > Media Box.
If you set an x-y coordinate space that is larger than the x-y coordinate space, then it is device-independent. Apple Preview will by default scale the size down to the dimensions of your digital graphic display, will scale the resolution down in memory, will convert the scalable type to smooth bitmap type in memory, and will convert other colour spaces to the ICC colour space of your digital graphic device. Another digital graphic device with an x-y coordinate space that has another dimension can draw your design as is, draw scaled up, draw scaled down, or draw as is in tiles. This is how books and periodicals have been proofed and then printed for a quarter century.
Should be taught in school, though.

Martin, it's possible to create shortcuts for any menu item in any OS X application. You do this by going to the System Preferences, in the Keyboard and Mouse pane, under the Keyboard Shortcuts tab. See this posting for more details.
This is an extremely powerful feature of OS X, and it is unfortunate that is it not better known.

Not specifically, this is on a standard list NewForm.aspx page - it should already be there. The code is in the PreSaveAction function, so by that time sp.js should be fully loaded on the page - I don't wait for it or use a ExecuteOrDelayUntilScriptLoaded(xxxx,"sp.js");
I know this is a syntax error somewhere. Also, all my objects are declared as global, so it shouldn't be anything like that..
And I see a typo above that I've fixed:

is actually
wikiPage = rootFolder.get_files().AddTemplateFile(pageName, TemplateFileType.WikiPage);
but that didn't help. I still get:
Object does not support get_rootFolder.
I've also tried splitting that part into the execution functions, making sure I load 'RootFolder' into the context, but that doesn't work either.

Is it possible to create endnotes that restart with each section in Pages that will stay that way in epub?

I can create section endnotes in Pages, no problem. When I export to epub, the notes are all there and the links work perfectly, but the numbers run continuously throughout the document. Is it possible to create section endnotes in Pages that will survive the epub export?

I have a now-you-see-it now-you-don't and now-you-see-it-again suggestion from someone on this forum to try the new Pages upgrade which says it delivers improved epub export. Whoever you are--thanks for the suggestion--but I tried it and it doesn't make any difference to the notes, or anything else so far as I can tell.

Creating a log-out jsp.

I want to create a log out page. I use a login bean to verify
username and id. I added a log out button which puts an

well, every thing seems fine, except that in jsp, there is a
reference to the HttpSession object, which is called session, so
you don't have to declare it, you should be able to use it
without doing so, something like this

Is it possible to create a bibliography in Pages 09? I know about the Endnote solution, and its problems. But is it possible to do it outside of the 3rd party software? How?

EndNote works with Pages '09. It is Pages 5 that is incompatible.

Do you meant that is userA is trying to logon, he must see different logon pages at different tims he tries to logon?
Thanks Hermann, I too was thinking about the same...just need to have some clarity on what really needs to be achieved. Also unless the whole logon page needs to be different then cookies are best -- if its just some images then some javascript would be good enough.

You cannot create a record as a materialized view within the Application Designer.
But there is workaround.
Create the record as a table within the Application Designer. Don't build it.
Inside your database, create the materialized with same name and columns as the record created previously.
After that, you'll be able to work on that record as for all other within the Peoplesoft tools.
But keep in mind do never build that object, that'll drop your materialized view and create a table instead.
Same problem exists for partitioned tables, for function based-indexes and some other objects database vendor dependant. Same workaround is used.
