Is it possible to create automaticaly scaling Paragraph Rules?
Here is what I am trying to do:
I have a header display that features a gradiant rule both above and below the header. If I set it up with 20 point text and position the paragraph rules above and below, everything is kosher.
Now, the customer wants to use this same header on several products with different sized pages, so the header might be 30 points here, 50 points there, and so on.
I want to have the Paragraph Rule automatically reposition and resize itself so it maintains the same look when I manually change the point size of the text. Right now, I spend lots of time fiddling the position and weight of the rules by hand (there are LOTS of different sizes).
Any ideas?

The spammers have got me good this time!! I am getting tens of emails a day asking if I want to buy gold. The problem is that I can't seem to create a rule to filter these out. The subject and sender are always different, and usually garbage. Also the email has no content, rather a gif image which is 8kb in size. I do tend to get a lot of emails from people who are not in my address book, so that option is not available to me. The only way I could imagine filtering these messages was to create a rule that if message contains attatchment 8kb (they are always the same size in my experience), then move to junk. Of course this rule seems impossible. How do you guys filter these messages out. I was already at the end of my tether with the gold stock options, but now I am also getting emails asking to buy a ring of some sorts!!!..... Any help please! ThanksHello Gwyn.
No single strategy is completely effective when it comes to managing spam. People who are intent on sending spam are ingenious at coming up with ways around any filtration schemes.
You can add a number of rules in an attempt to resolve the problem but doing so in regards to spam is like a dog chasing his tail.

The answer is that you can set a custom x-y coordinate space or select a canned x-y coordinate space from the ISO A series or any of the industry and US national series.
This fact is not based on the application software, but on your own use of a digital graphic device that draws patterns of picture elements. Your display and your printer are digital graphic devices.
With a digital graphic device, the application, the OS and the driver don't communicate in ASCII control codes for carriage return and so forth.
The application, the OS and the driver communicate in x-y coordinate spaces within which you set other coordinates for typography frames and photography frames.
This is what you see in Apple Pages layout mode as well as in the layout mode of Microsoft Word, and in any version of Aldus PageMaker since 1985, QuarkXPress since 1987 and so on and so forth.
When you are done and have exported your design to disk as Adobe PDF, the x-y coordinate space you set for the design space can be seen as the Media Box in Apple Preview > View > PDF Display > Media Box.
If you set an x-y coordinate space that is larger than the x-y coordinate space, then it is device-independent. Apple Preview will by default scale the size down to the dimensions of your digital graphic display, will scale the resolution down in memory, will convert the scalable type to smooth bitmap type in memory, and will convert other colour spaces to the ICC colour space of your digital graphic device. Another digital graphic device with an x-y coordinate space that has another dimension can draw your design as is, draw scaled up, draw scaled down, or draw as is in tiles. This is how books and periodicals have been proofed and then printed for a quarter century.
Should be taught in school, though.

Is there a possibility of creating a template in flash?

I hope someone can help me. I have build a flash page which contains a complicated drop-down menu. This menu will be in 20 different pages (slideshows). If I change something in this menu (movie) I have to change it in 20 different pages (copy / paste). Is there a possibility of creating a template like in Dreamweaver. So that when I adjust the template, it will automaticaly adjust all 20 pages containing this particular template? Thank you very much for your advice. SarosaThank you all for your tips. RegardsWell, at this point (pre 7.5), there isn't an agent, the WSA is joined to the domain, just like a Windows box, it authenticates via that trust relationship. From that point it is all based on how NT/Active Directory domains work. As long as there is a trust between the domains, you can can auth users from as many domains as you like.
There is an agent in the works. The ADAgent will be released with 7.5. The code is already available, it was released with the ASA ver 8.4, and it will be used to pass authentication info to the WSA. At this point, current versions still require trust relationships between all of the domains touched.

Within the document? Using Acrobat? Using another application?
Using Acrobat within the document would be possible using Acrobat JavaScript. You can access the annotation objects of your document, and you then can evaluate the properties of each of these objects. Have a closer look at the Annotation Object section in the Acrobat JavaScript documentation.
You will look for the contents property, and evaluate its content. When you have found something looking like a URL, you can create a link (using the rect property of the annotation), and you have what you want; you might then think to destroy the annotation, as it may overlay the link.

Is it possible to create an extension containing a panel for Dreamweaver CC 2014?
Dear Adobe Community,
Currently we work in Dreamweaver CS6 with some custom extensions. Since we're now looking into upgrading to CC 2014, obviously, we need to make sure we can either re-use, port or create new extensions to maintain the functionality we have now.
In short: I haven't been able to create an extension for CC 2014 featuring a panel in any shape or form.
Creating a HTML5 based (CES 5) extension results in an error only visible in the log (attached).
Fiddling around in a flash based extension, upping the host application version gives no such error. But, like a HTML 5 based one, doesn't show up in Dreamweaver. (And I'm using the Sublime plugin, since Extension Builder 3 lacks DW support.)
Mind you, the "extensions" tab in the "Window" menu is lacking entirely.
Can anyone tell me if it is at all possible to create an extension for DW CC 2014?

1. The extension should be placed at /Users/labuser/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC 2014/en_US/Configuration/CEP/Extensions . [WIN: C:\Users\labuser\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2014.1\en_US\Configuration\CEP\Extensions] . The installation of the zxp should have placed the extension in the above path.
2. Add a custom menu item like <menuitem mmstring:name="menus/DWMenu_Window_BusinessCatalyst" key="Cmd+Shift+B" enabled="true" command="dw.toggleCSXSExtension("com.adobe.bccsdialog");" checked="dw.getFloaterVisibility('BCModulePanel');" id="DWMenu_Window_BC_Modules" /> where the argument in the call dw.toggleCSXSExtension is the Extension Id as seen in the manifest.xml at the line <Extension Id="com.adobe.bccsdialog">.
Note: All these will work provided the extension is successfully registered with DW.
To know if an extension is registered with DW, do the following:
1. On MAC, there is a CSXS preference plist file Users/labuser/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.CSXS.5.plist which has an entry named LogLevel. Set the value to 5 for detailed log. [On windows –Registry - Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.5]
2. Quit and Launch DW
3. Open Console application and under ~/Library/Logs/CSXS/, there will be a log file created with name csxs5-DRWV.log [WIN: log file is in C:\Users\labuser\AppData\Local\Temp]
4. In the log, search for "Register Extension called for Extension : com.adobe.bccsdialog, ExtensionType : Trusted" and under that, you should see "PlugPlugRegisterExtension() callback returned: PlugPlugErrorCode_success" which mean this extension is successfully registered with DW.
5. When you try loading the extension from the menu you have added, you should see an entry like "INFO PlugPlugLoadExtension called for extension : com.adobe.bccsdialog" followed in the next few lines by " INFO Return value of PlugPlugLoadExtension call : PlugPlugErrorCode_success" and you should see the extension loaded in DW.
If any of these steps fail with any value other than "PlugPlugErrorCode_success", the extension will not load in DW.
The solution provided here is a temporary one and we are bringing back the functionality we have removed in DW CC 2014 in the next release. -

Thus an Apple ID is the same as the iTunes account.

According to your description, you want to create a create a doughnut chart with multiple concentric circles in your report. Right?
In Reporting Services, we only have doughnut chart with one concentric circle. All the category group is in that concentric circle. Though we can embed javascript injection in expression, it only give the css style to values or report
items which can change the looking. It can't change the structure of the report items itself. So your requirement can't be achieved current.
For your requirement, we suggest you provide Microsoft a feature request at
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer
so that we may try to expand the product features based on your needs.

i.e some set of columns will enable you to identify a unique row from a set of rows in the table.
This can be achieved by checking the primary key check box in se11.

We are in the initial stages of Oracle 9i OLAP prototype. Since the current version of BIBeans 2.5 does not work with Release 2 of Oracle 9i OLAP, we are planning to use Oracle 9i OLAP Release 1. So can you please answer the following questions.
1. Is it possible to create relational view on Analytic Workspace(like in Release 2) and populate the OLAP catalog, if so can you give me guidance to get the appropriate user guide. The OLAP DML guide in Release 1 talks about creating OLAP catalog metadata for Analytic Workspace using a metadata locator object.
2, Is it advisable to use Oralce 9i OLAP Release 1? Does the Analytic Workspace and the corresponding BIBeans work in Release 1?

the OLAP DML) are new to Oracle9i OLAP Release 2, you cannot find them in Release 1.
BI Beans will soon (within a week) introduce a version on OTN that will work with Oracle9i OLAP Release 2. -
As an example I have velocity data which shows a vehicle accelerating from rest to 60 km/h and then travelling at a constant speed. As opposed to displaying this data using a 2D axis system is it possible to create a new speedometer display type to display this information? Maybe this display type already exists but I have not come across it yet? I've been using DIAdem for a few days now. The current version I am using is 11.2. It has been suggested in the past that it was possible to display data using numeric displays etc but I can't seem to find the features in v11.2. Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm sorry for the [extremely] delayed reply - I have been out of the office (and out of the country) for two weeks with extremely limited email access. I've attached the files that I used to create the example you saw in the YouTube video embedded above. Please note that I threw this together pretty quickly for the video, and that it is not "commercial quality." Use this as a proof-of-concept upon which to elaborate to get started.
The parts are:
CAN Synchronization.tdv
This is the DIAdem VIEW Layout that contains the video, map, 2D axis, and embedded user dialog with ActiveX gauge control. Think of this as the "user interface" you see in the video.
Gauge.sud
This is the scriptable user dialog (SUD) box that is embedded in the VIEW Layout described above. It contains the ActiveX control which I have affectionately named "MyGauge."
DisplayCursorCommand.vbs
This is the short script that is designed to react to the event that fires when the cursor is playing in DIAdem VIEW. I have commented all 5-ish lines with their functionality.
In order to register the script so that it fires in reaction to the event when the cursor is playing, I chose to register it as a DIAdem UserCommand (Settings » Options » Extensions » User Commands) and then run the line of code:
View.Events.onCursorChange = "DisplayCursor"
You could do this elsewhere within some other script.

Is it possible to create a new tab in 'Default settings for items' option?
Hi everybody
I am Raghu working in EBP2.0 & I have come across a difficlty and that is of creating a new tab and also the fields 'GL a/c', 'cost centre' or 'internal order' in this new tab.
First of all please let me know whether is it possible to create a new tab for these fields.
The purpose of this new tab is to default the cost centre and GL account with reference to shopping cart.
As per current scenario, user has to enter the cost centre & the GL code as many times as the number of items in a shopping cart. I mean, if you have 10 items in your shopping cart then 10 times user has to input the cost centre & GL account. To avoid this we are required to add new tab so that per shopping cart we can enter the GL account & cost centre only once.
Your immediate response would be very much apprecited.

Ram, we can default GL a/c & cost centre in org structure since client wants to us to keep the option of entering these for every shopping cart.
Sreenivas, I checked the 'copy to clipboard' option & its not there in EBP2 and I feel what you meant as cost centre tab is account assignment tab.
Let me explain you more clearly about this requirement.
Current Scenario
1.Say a user has added 5 items to his SC.
2.User has to enter cost centre & GL code 5 times & then he can order
Required scenrio
1.Say a user has added 5 items to his SC.
2.As per the proposed functionality, user will click on 'Default settings for items' button. Three tabs will appear-->Basic data, Internal note & Delivery Address.
We have to provide a new tab here where in user will default his GL & cost centre for this shopping cart & then order. This will help user to avoid entering GL & cost centre 5 times.
For some reasons our client is not interested in defaulting this data.
Please help in this regard if time permits.
