Is it possible to create LABViewApplication for our own Hardware?

Hi everybody...
We have designed our own Data Acquisition Hardware...earlier we were developing GUI application using VC++ for that hardware..
Is it possible to create GUI application for our own hardware?..(Serial port,parallel port,ethernet,TCP/IP,USB)..
(not NI Devices)
if possible then how to communicate with our hardware....(how to send & receive commands b/n appln software & our hardware)
need to write any protocols...(then how to write it in Labview)
i tried something like configuring the channels.....i found difficult to do that..
is there any way to do that
i attached our GUIappln jpeg file with this msg as attachement(i need these to be implemented in LabVIEW)

Absolutely. By all means.. NI software tools are not used exclusively with NI products, although in most cases, you'll appreciate that
You can create your own custom GUI in LabView or LabWindows-CVI (if you are more familiar with C/C++ and need to create instrument drivers). The benefit of using LabView is to be able to create a custom GUI and the tests quickly. You have all the choices for communication (Serial port,parallel port,ethernet,USB).
LabView is designed with the end-product in mind, however, you will have to prepare your protocols (drivers). I typically create them using LabWindows-CVI as wrapper functions, but if you can communicate to your product directly using software like HyperTerminal or using a TelNet session, then you can communicate with the product by simply using LabView. Even parallel port communication is simple.
To answer your question on how communication is accomplished, you will have to let us know the following:
1. what version of LabView that you are using?
2. how do you "manually" communicate your your product at the moment?
3. what is your preferred communication method? (Serial port,parallel port,ethernet,USB)
4. do you have existing communication protocols?
5. how did you try to configure the channels? can you provide a brief explanation?
The GUIappln jpeg can be created using LabView. Let's start with the questions above.
Please keep using this thread as it can contain all the steps to get you to success.

Keynote would probably be laughable for a yearbook. I use Keynote for presentations, Keynote is the best at what it does. A yearbook is nothing like a presentation.

I have created the OM actions, now I'm trying to create LSMW for the actions PQ10 (creation of org unit), PQ13 (Creation of Position) but while recording LSMW relationships are not creating under - Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules in LSMW. Please advice on this whether these transactions are possible to create LSMW with fore & backgroung.

Is it possible to create shortcuts for Faces in iPhoto or Aperture?

I am naming hundreds of faces.
The auto detect function has exhausted all its options, so am now doing the remainder manually.
Is it possible to create a shortcut for: 1) add a face? 2) specific names of faces?
As am I doing hundreds its quite a laborious task.

No. The max no. of months you can create a calendar with is 24. You might try using iCal. It's perpetual.

Subscription is a very nice feature that Apex came up with version 4.
But what is missing is that we can only create subscription for IR Reports.
Is there anyone knows a possibility to create a subscription for a IR graph?
And also is there a possibility to create subscription that produces an HTML same as IR report layout? (Coloring, Grouping etc.)

One option is changing the properties of the key figure from 'Always Show' to "Hide can be Shown'. This will let the user select the required key figures to display after executing the report. In this case you can hide all the key figures and give the option of selecting the required keyfigures for display after executing the report.
Second option is to use a text variable and derive a mechanism of displaying the key figures for what the user selects. This is a bit tedious process. I would recommend you to go for the above said option. and still if you want the other mechanism to work I will give it you, but need sometime to detail that.

How to create infostructure for my own archiving object?

We created our own archiving objects.
Could you help tell how to create infostructure for each of them?
Any info would be appreciated.

Infostructure creation:
1. Create Field Catalog
2. Create Infostructure and assign Field catalog created
3. Activate Infostructure
4. Fill Infostructure
>> Retrieve archived data
Path to create Field Catalog:
Goto SARI >> Customizing >> Environment >> Create Filed catalog
Note: 1. During creation of Field catalog make use of field name from SE11 transaction.
2. Target field and Reference filed should be same and Source table from which you are considering the filed name
3. Key filed name should be Indicated
Path to create Infostructure
Goto SARI >> Customizing >> Environment >> Create Infostructure
Assign Archiving object for which this infostructure is created and assign filed catalog
Activate it.
Path to Fill structure
Goto SARI >> Status >> Select Archiving object and consider option Fill per Infostructure
In Archiving explorer you can retrieve archiving data.

Possibility to create variants for parameters in Crystal

Dear all,
I am using crystal reports 2008 SP6. Most of the report are referring on BI queries. In BI queries our users are using variants to save several filter values.
I already noticed that in Crystal there is a personalize button, but this the user allows to just save more or less just one “variant”
Is there a way for the user to save several variants in Crystal like it is possible in BEx. Any idea would be great.

when you insert a DTP, it doesnt ask you for a variant infact it will ask you for the technical name of the DTP. Or you referring to some other variant?

Is it required to create a Billing document for an Free of charge order as far as Indian scenario is concerned.
We are not charging any value to the customer for Free of Charge. Free of Charge order value will be Zero only.
In this case, is it required to abide with invoice while sending the materials to the customer.

PR00 value will be compensated with R100 condition type.
But Excise condition type will be calculated on Basic price.
When the basic price value, how the system calculates the Excise condition type values.

Does your website live on a Windows server? The above link you posted will require a Windows server for that to work but if you do, then you should be able to just follow the links instructions.
If your site is not on a Windows server (maybe it's on Linux?) then you would most likely need a PHP solution - something like this: http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_mail.asp. Depending on your host, they might actually have a ready-built form script for you to use so it might be best to ask them first.
You might also want some kind of validation to ensure you receive the correct information so something like jQuery Validate could work.

Is it possible to create shortcuts for iTunes that work no matter what program I am in?

My keyboard doesn't have media shortcuts. I want to create the media shortcuts using my F keys. How would I go about doing this so that no matter what program I am in, the shortcut speaks to iTunes?

This is probably occuring because your Mac is attempting to wirelessly sync with a device. Try unchecking the checkbox that reads "Open iTunes when device is connected" (this option can be found under the general page of iTunes when you have a device connected).

TS2481 I don't want all my contacts on my iPhone5 but I want my calendar sync-ed i.e. totally up-to-date. Is it possible to create settings for sync-ing?

The sync-ing program will warn me that it's about to make massive changes to my contacts on my iPhone i.e. add in a whole bunch of contacts that I don't want on my phone. At that point I can cancel the sync and stop those contacts from being added. But as a result, my calendar is not getting updated. Seems to me there should be a way of controlling what gets sync-ed and what doesn't. But so far I haven't been able to find a way to do that. Thoughts?

Don't know about your contacts, but for you calendar be sure you have selected your iCloud calendar as your default calendar on your phone. Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Defaut Calendar>choose Calendar under your iCloud email address (not Calendar under On My iPhone). You might want to review this to be sure you have set up iCloud correctly: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/.
