Is it possible to customize TM theme?

Hi,
I like to customize my Mac, and my last, probably not possible, idea was to try to change the Time Machine Vortex theme with let's say a moving Spiral (kind of Austin Power's back in time machine). Well, it's just an idea, maybe better will arise ... but I don't know if it's possible.
I found the folder where all images are saved (in Snow Leopard, I think in Leopard it was elsewhere):
HD>System>Library>PrivateFrameworks>Backup.framework>Versions>A>Resources
I haven't tried to change whatever cause my knowledge in this thing is not very big. And thus I'm writing here to ask if somebody managed this delicate operation. If yes I would appreciate if one can share the procedure.

Backup the contents of the folder first. However, after that, it's safe to replace any of the images in there with images of the same dimensions and format. As for the OpenGL code in there, I don't know what will happen if you change it.

Yes, You can have your own themes and you can change the colour of the existing Theme.
Connect to BAM->Architect->System->Views->Chart Themes.
You can edit the colors of the existing Theme or You can create your own theme here.

When sending an image to print on our 5000s and 5100s I'd like for the printer to apply a halftone screen of 85 (frequency) and 45 (angle). However, the driver properties only has two settings - Standard and Enhanced.
I took a look at the PPD and found the following:

*ResScreenFreq 300dpi/300 dpi: "60.0"
*ResScreenAngle 300dpi/300 dpi: "45.0"

*ResScreenAngle 600dpi/600 dpi: "45.0"
*ResScreenFreq 1200dpi/1200 dpi: "180.0"
*ResScreenAngle 1200dpi/1200 dpi: "45.0"
I had hoped that simply by changing the screen frequencies to "85.0" it would do the trick (since 85 does not appear to be outside of the printers' capability). However, it resulted in no changes to the prints. I know (or at least think) the changes were "seen" by the print driver because I changed some of the text that it uses in the property boxes of the print driver and those changes appeared (e.g. I changed "Standard" to "Standard 2" for one of the halftone descriptions).
My question is... can I customize the frequency/angle used or are these values fixed regardless of changes made to the PPD?

Modifying CSS code to customize a theme

Hello:
I'm trying to change some CSS code to customize a theme for an application. I make my change, upload, and the change takes into effect. I make additional changes, click Apply Changes, and the changes do not take affect.
I then go back to my CSS file, make the additional changes, upload the file, and the changes do not take into effect.
My issue is that some of the time when I make a change to the CSS code, the changes take into effect. Other times, they do not.
I installed Firebug which lets me print the HTML and CSS code for a page that is being currently viewed on the screen. I reviewed the HTML and found the "id" that I want to change. I make my changes, upload the CSS file, and the changes do not take into effect.
What is the secret with the CSS code in these themes that will not take my changes?
Here's an example of what happens:
I change the background color for a table. I then want to change the font-color. Instead of displaying both changes; my page reverts to the original colors of the theme.
I am at a complete loss. I have experience in CSS coding and I just don't understand why these changes aren't working all the time.
Can someone give me some insight as to the secret of customizing these themes?

You can find your uploaded file in the table APEX_APPLICATION_FILES (or HTMLDB_APPLICATION_FILES in older versions of Apex) - search for your css filename in the FILENAME column.
I tend to upload custom stylesheets through Shared Components, Cascading Style Sheets and then replace the existing LINK tag in the page template with:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#MyThemeFileName.css" type="text/css"/>Then, when I need to change the css, I do so using a text editor, delete the file through Shared Components and add in the new version. Sometimes the browser's cache holds an old copy of the stylesheet, but clearing the cache sorts that out. Otherwise, I've not had any problems doing it this way.
The css files you're seeing in your images folder will be referenced within the page templates. As these may be updated with any upgrade to Apex, you should avoid updating these.

Is it possible to customize the checks for a Delete binding at the underlying EntityImpl or ViewRowImpl level?
On my page I have a table within a panel collection. On the panel collection's toolbar I have a button tied to a Delete operation on the iterator that provides the table data.
I want the Delete button to be disabled for certain rows based on various data checks. (In my case, checking to see if the DB row is referenced elsewhere in the DB.) Is there some EntityImpl or ViewRowImpl method I can override to perform this check?
(I know I can override remove() to check and throw an exception, but this would occur after the user has pushed the button in the web page.)
(I also know I can get the desired effect to work by creating a method on a backing bean to grab the selected row from the table and invoking my custom checking logic on it. However, I wondered if there was a better way to work with the ADFBC framework to accomplish this.)

One way of doing it might be to create a transient attribute in your VO that returns true or false based on whether the row can be deleted.
Then in your page have the disable property of the button based on the value of this transient attribute.

Is it possible to customize preferences for when you will receive billing reminders? I found that the default setting reminded me too far in advance, and then only after I was late on a payment. If I could customize when I would receive the email reminders, then I would switch back to online reminders only, instead of paper. I find a week notice is optimal for me, and then if I haven't paid two days before the bill is due, I would also want a reminder.

Is is possible to customize movie genre options?

is is possible to customize movie genre options? At the moment there are a limited amount of options for genres in itunes. I have several more genres than are accounted for ie comedy drama as well as comedy, for which I would like to set a custom icon . I would also like to, for instance, set a genre for a specific movie star. Not giantly important in the scheme of things of course, but it would look much nicer in apple tv.

You can also check what your index contains by querying de $I table directly:

Is it possible to customize aspect ratio?

I have a video of scrolling text that I want to project across the top of the back wall of a theater for a performance, like supertitles (or surtitles) at the opera. Very wide, very short, like a row of text. so the aspect ration needs to be something crazy like 11:1. I made the video in final cut/live type, but can't find a way to customize the aspect ratio and every program I find online that can crop out the black area without information RESIZES the **** thing to a standard format. this is so easy with a photo. Is this possible? can I do it in final cut or something I can find online? or do i need something like isadora?
btw, i have the image running through a trip-head converter running from my computer, so it's acting like a display with a ratio of something like 48:9, so If i could get the file to a very wide aspect ratio it would totally work.
