Is it possible to deep link into the Blank Composition widget?

I would like to link to a page that contains a Blank Composition and have the 3rd item selected by default. Is this possible?

It is not possible to directly target a specific slide/item in a widget using a hyperlink. Everytime you pull up a page in the browser, any widgets on the page display the first slide of the widget.

Can I add a new trigger to the beginning instead of at the end of a blank composition widget?

Hi guys,
I am creating a photo gallery page using the Blank Composition widget. I want to be able to add new content regularly by adding new photos to the top (beginning) of the gallery so my newest photos show at the beggining of the gallery.
Currently, the little + symbol to add another trigger only adds a new trigger to the right (bottom) of group of triggers, effectively putting newly added content to the back of the gallery instead of at the front. Am I able to get it to add a new trigger to the beginning of the group and have that trigger be the first in the group to display?
All the widget's seem to display this same order behaviour, so I'm quite stuck on how to get around this. I've tried re-arranging the triggers, but that has become insanely cumbersome every time I want to add new photos to the beginning of the group and move the older ones further down the gallery order.
Any help would be greatly appreciated with this, cheers, David.

I have the same problem. I've looked at some recommended 3rd party widgets and they don't do what I want either.
Another method would be to start a nabble.com blog and embed that in to Muse, but then the news would not be seen by web crawlers and benefit your ranking on your own page. (I think)
This is a rubbish work around but, I'm going to add a new news widget every month. I only get 5-6 bits of news a month, so by adding a new widget above the last each time, that will push the old news down the page.

Editing text in the blank composite target box?

I am having a very hard time editing text inside the composite target box. Sometimes it moves outside the target box and operates as a static text box. The target box itself shows/hides correctly though the text is not part of it.
I am unable to use the blank composite widget to place grahics and text boxes inside the target box.
There has to be a subtle principle I do not grasp yet.
Clues or help is apprecaited.

If you have placed the text inside target then it should work fine. It may be a chance that the text frame is not inside the target but on it.
You can check that , if the text frame is inside target then you would get the interface option for text frame ( small blue circle ). But if the text frame is simply placed on the target then you wont get that interface option when you click text frame.

In google searches, selecting the advertised links do not load the page I have to copy the link into the address bar to load, how can this be fixed?

When I select one of the advertised links in a google search, the tab flashes and looks likes it's loading but nothing happens. If I copy/paste the link into the address bar it works OK. It also works correctly using IE.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Sliding a bookmark link into the body of an email

Everything was working fine until the update yesterday.
Now I cannot slide a link into the body of my Hotmail emails.
The long URL appears in black ink when what was always the
blue renamed link that I use.
Also, the Properties do not come up any longer when right clicked on. The entire bookmark drop down disappears.

Did that, I never had to use it before.
After doing that the entire long URL goes blue and enters the body but not the shortened "renamed" one.
Up until yesterday I just slid the link into the email body very easily like I always did.
I just reinstalled Firefox 13.0.1 with no improvement. The properties dialog box did come back up.
Something changed somewhere.

Ha! Perfectly classic case of XY problem! Pointed out by Jongware in some other thread recently - couldn't find an exact link right now...
In short:
    User wants to do X.
    User doesn't know how to do X, but thinks he can fumble his way to a solution if he can just manage to do Y.
    User doesn't know how to do Y either.
    User asks for help with Y.
    Others try to help user with Y, but are confused because Y seems like a strange problem to want to solve.
    After much interaction and wasted time, it finally becomes clear that the user really wants help with X, and that Y wasn't even a suitable solution for X.

In vsn 6.0.2 how can I paste a link into the body of a Yahoo e-mail and have the pasted result appear as a link?

Step 1) open firefox
Step 2) copy link from address bar into clipboard
Step 3) compose message in Yahoo
Step 4) paste contents of clipboard into body of the e-mail
result: the pasted value does NOT become a hyperlink
<on same pc, with same contents in clipboard>
Step 5) open IE
Step 6) compose message in Yahoo
Step 7) paste contents of clipboard into body of the e-mail
result: the pasted value becomes a hyperlink ... the fact that the link becomes a hyperlink in the IE browser makes me think that there may be something in the Firefox browser that is controlling whether the pasted value becomes a link.
I'm not sure, but I believe the update to firefox 6.0.2 was with the past few days.
I'm not sure, but I do not believe the symptoms from steps 1 - 4 were present a few days ago
Questions:
1) could this feature have been introduced in 6.0.2?
2) I would prefer it if the pasted value would become a

Now Tony, I know you can't hear my tone on a forum post but I was not complaining, simply stating facts . This change brought several people in my office to a grinding halt in a long established workflow that is really rather simple (and I thought was already assumed from the original post above ):
1) Select a set of records in FileMaker Pro 12 and export only their e-mail addresses as a CSV file.
2) Open that CSV file in Excel.
3) Copy the column of e-mail address.
4) paste into the appropriate recipient field in Mail.
5) Send
If I were to complain it would be about Apple's typically opaque approach to updates. There is no granular explanation of why changes were made or even "what" changes were made.
Complaining is futile since Apple is Apple and is unlikely to change, but sometimes it is cathartic to "shout into the void" .
I had thought about doing something with a formula in Excel and your suggestion was simple and helpful. Again, however, it is only a workaround for a long established helpful behavior that Apple has inexplicably broken/removed in Mavericks Mail.
I, and the other posters here, would love to have the capability back rather than have to add previously unneeded steps to our workflows.
Ultimately we may add scripting steps to the FileMaker side to export the address lists with commas inserted already if Apple ends up having permanently removed this feature.

How do you duplicate a PDF fill in form page, WITHOUT linking the text (for MAC)??? That is, while still being able to type different things into the blanks on the duplicate pages?

The Situation (again, I have a Mac): I am filling out a 5 job application- it is PDF format, with questions, and fill in the blanks for your information- such as name, date, and employment history. Page 3, is the page used for employment history. But, there is only room for two jobs on page 3. The instructions tell you, you can "have as many page three's" as you want. In my case, I will be putting 8 jobs- at two jobs per page, that is a total of 4 page three's. I already know how to duplicate a PDF page, simply by opening the thumbnail viewer on the side, holding down the "alt" key, and clicking and dragging the desired page to create a duplicate. So what is the problem??? When you duplicate the page, the boxes into which you type, are linked. So if on the original, you type "Job A", into the experience box, it forces the same answer on the duplicate page, making it impossible to describe different positions!!!! Is there a way to work around that? Thank you!!!!!

You're probably using Acrobat if you can duplicate pages like that. This is the Adobe Reader forum...
To answer your question, though: The only way this can be done automatically, without having to manually rename each field, is to use a Template to spawn new pages. This is something the form's author should have done, but you can do it yourself as well, using some code.

Is it not possible to paste values into the timecode window in FCPX?

I am doing a lot of manual time timecode entering - from someone wo has handed me a paper edit (in the form of an XL spreadsheet)
Has anyone had any success pasting a value into the timecode window? I can't seem to paste even itf I click it first and it turns blue. I can type it in, but I need to copy and paste values. There's a lot of them.

How to mke deep links into application

Hallo,
i want to provide 2 ways to login to my app. One is to fill out the login jsp and the other ist to give login parameter in the request with an automatic login. I have done this before with struts an an request to an action with request the parameters. The action has done the login and then navigate into the app. I the request parameters are not set the action would navigate to the login jsp.
How can I do this with JSF. There are no actions to call. I tried to bind an HtmlForm object to my form on the login page. In the constructor, i check the request parameter and tried to submit the form in the construtor. The methods isSubmited or setSubmit sisn't work.
Any ideas for this problem.

my problem is not to get the request parameter values. I want to use one jsp site twice. Once for a login form to fill in and submit by a user and on the other hand to call the page with request parameters to fill in the login form and submit it automaticly. I don't know how I can submit the html form by java code.
Mayby I can do this by phase listeners?

Indesign CS5 fails to package all links into the links folder, is this a bug? Is there a fix?

Indesign packaging leaves out some links, even though files are linked correctly prior to packaging. I am currently working on Indesign CS5, Mac 0S X, Version 10.5.8.

I had a problem with links on the master pages not being packaged. I found this and did the 7.0.3 Adobe update but no success.
I tried a few more web searches and found this

which is sort of the same problem.
The gist is to enlarge the slug area to the max (152.4mm or whatever that is in your preferred units). It seems that package ignores anything that has part of it on the pasteboard.
This is a pain when you only want to collect the active items but I expect someone at Adobe will sort this out in due course.

How do I import a Photoshop button (including it's different states) into the muse menu widget?

I had the idea of using the "place Photoshop button" option to configure the states in my horizontal menu bar in Muse. I started out trying to use the widget, after playing with the options it seems I can either load each individual state one at a time in manual mode or I can try to make a menu bar from the buttons and manually place the respective links. I would be grateful for a suggestion or alternative method that is as easy as the "place Photoshop button" option, I love that feature. Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: I found that I could use Fill image then in import fill options, import layer + clip layer contents for each of the states. It was working very well but I noticed an error in one of my buttons states so I had to go back to Photoshop. When I returned to start this process again and I clicked import layer, the states are all flat plain text without any of the blending options I had set for each state. The odd part is that I can see all the layers in composite, but it will not let me place each layer as it did before.
After several frustrating hours going through every step I edited and even trying to load the buttons I thought were exactly the same file I used before I could not find what I had done differently to cause this. I did successfully place each Photoshop button in empty space and the cut and paste them into the menu. Which is way easier then the original method. I would like to know if anyone has an idea what went wrong for the sake of knowledge. Also thought that this cut paste method might help others trying to build menu buttons outside of Muse.

I'm afraid Photoshop is a graphics program ill suited for generating good HTML and CSS code. Use Photoshop to create your images only. Use DW to build your HTML, CSS and menus.
