Is it possible to delete Itunes movie extras?

Is it possible to delete just the Itunes movie extras without deleting the movie itself?

Thanks for the answer! I thought that might be the case since it seems to be a single file, although the weird thing is that I've had extras disappear before...
I never have the extras go away.
I like to buy TV shows on iTunes, but I always get my movies on a physical disk, that way I know I really have it.

Can't access iTunes movies extras on 3.0

Maybe I'm just missing something, but I can't seem to find out how to access iTunes movie extras in 3.0. It's supposed to be there, but the one movie I have with it doesn't give me any noticeable option to access them.
What am I missing here?

Can't delete iTune Movies from my hard drive

I wondered if anyone could help...
I maxed out my hard drive with iTune Movies and music, and have been trying to transfer to an external hard drive which is fine, but... I can't delete them from my laptop's hard drive (Vista on Sony Vaio). I don't have the same problems with the music at all, just the movies.
I'm running out of space, help!

OK, so that tells us it's the operating system permissions for your account.
In WE, go to the top-level music folder.
Right-click > Properties and go to the Security tab.
Give your windows userID *full control* and ownership of that music folder and make sure to apply those settings to all child/subfolders.
This web page has some Windows 7 screenshots - I think they look the same for Vista.

How do iTunes Movie Extras work within iTunes?

So how does iTunes 9 handle Movie Extras? Are there special tags involved to keep all the pieces linked together? And does the menu work like a regular DVD does?
Are these extras and menus exactly the same as their DVD counterparts and simply ported over to a new kind of format?
I guess Im asking for a basic answer, without going into too much depth here on Discussions. I'd like to eventually create my own home movies with menus and "extra" content. (all accessible from within iTunes under a single movie menu). But for now, Im trying to to get a start on understanding how it all works.

How do I delete iTunes movie from hard drive

It doesn't show up in Itunes but it's still in my Movies subdirectory of iTunes (taking up 1.6G). When I try to delete it from the folder, it says it's write protected or in use. It's not in use. HELP!

Do you mean all data BUT the operating system?
If so, boot the iMac with the install DVD in the optical drive while holding the C key. Select the language and then continue. Select from Utilities, Disk Utility and then Erase the hard drive. Then choose Install Mac OS X so you reinstall only the operating system. You can then use the apple at the left side of the menu bar and Software Update to date to 10.6.8.

Can you watch iTunes Movies Extras on the iPad?

I just bought the movie "Drive" on iTunes on my ipad2. Itunes states when i next connect on my DESKTOP i will get the extras and i did but -- they won't sync or transfer to my ipad.

Unable to watch iTunes movie extras on Apple TV

I buy movies on iTunes but cannot watch the extras I paid for on the Apple TV (last year's model) from which I purchased the movies. Is there a trick to this?

Well, NBA @ Apple TV is available in my region, already checked that 28 times.
They just aren't able to release an update prior to the start of preseason and really fumble around till season start (which is in 2 days!)...poor performance.
Is is Apple that is blocking the update or neulion who is lazy as ****?

ITunes Movie Extras stopping with error -19

After download completes for a Movies iTunes Extras package, the program processes the download package and then stops with an Error = -19
Does anyone know what this error is or how it can be corrected? I've searched everywhere and haven't seen any information about this.

I've had this problem myself recently with 2 Blu-Ray films which came with iTunes copies. Both films downloaded fine, but the iTunes Extras for both fail to complete with the same error code.
I've been in touch with Apple who responded really quickly, and they have basically solved nothing. They gave me a small walkthrough to do which I was unable to complete because one step required removing a folder from my machine which didn't exist in the first place. The same person has been back in touch with me 3 times now, following it up (which is nice of them at least, they don't just forget about the problem) but the problem persists to the point where I'm convinced it will never be fixed, as the Customer Service rep has basically had me retry the same thing over and over...
I'm at the stage where I'm willing to just concede defeat, at least I have the extras on Disc too I suppose.
I'm just about to reply to his last email asking if the problem was still there, if I get anywhere further I'll be sure to let you know! But I'd suggest trying to email them yourself too and see if the reply you get actually works!

Itunes Movie Extra's

My itunes won't let me finish downloading one movie and another movies "itunes extras" it keeps asking me for my password, starting to download and then a few moments later it says stopped (err = 8003) How can I get it to just finish?

I realize this post is from quite some time ago, but it showed up as relevant in my own search to resolve this problem. So hopefully my answer will be equally visible and thus helpful.
Select the movie file within iTunes (not the actual file(s) in the finder) and drag it to the desired location on your external hard drive. While doing so, you'll notice an indicator showing that you're in fact moving two files: the movie (m4v) file and the associated Extras (ite) file.
The first time I attempted this process, I selected the files within the Finder and dragged them to the external hard drive. I was able to play the movie itself from this location, but the Extras wouldn't play. After spending a considerable amount of time searching for a solution I tried the afore mentioned and it worked.
No promises, but hopefully this will work for some of you out there and save you some time and frustration.

ITunes Movie Extras - an Extra Entry?

Hi all,
Bought Wall-E last night just to try the new Extras feature. Two downloads followed -one for the movie and one for the extras, which created two separate entries in my iTunes Library. The actual movie said "unknown album".
If you use the itunes Extras entry, it works as advertised - menus, bonus content etc..., but if you use the actual Wall E movie entry - no menus or anything.
Is this the way it is supposed to be? I sure hope not, as it is confusing and nt easy to manage.
They finaly figured out how ot fix the HD SD entirs for TV Shows, I sure hope we don't have to wait for a fix fo this.
the two should be integrated in iTunes - even if the files are not the same.

Deleted itunes movie folder... any way to recover?

I have just done the stupidest thing, whilst trying to delete a small folder from my external hard drive i have just deleted my video folder holding all my itunes videos. luckily i realized and canceled the delete before too many files were deleted, but now i have lost almost half my video library!
is there any way or recovering those files...?!

Hey, don’t feel too bad. I once deleted by 100 gig iTunes Library.
And then I deleted the back up too.
I learned two things:
1; File Salvage will recover the files
and
2. Don’t do file management late at night.

Films can currently only be re-downloaded by US iTunes accounts (and not all films as not all film studios have so far agreed to it) - if you are not in the US then you won't get films under Purchased. If you want it on you iPhone you will have to copy it from the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync it to the phone.

Possible to Play iTunes movie/TV clips in Keynote?

I'm assuming the answer to my question is 'no', but I was surprised that I could find no discussion of this topic.
I have some TV shows that I have purchased from the iTunes store; they play fine in iTunes, Quicktime, and Front Row, but neither iMovie HD nor Keynote will let me import them. I can import DRM protected audio files.
It seems logical that since I have the rights to play the files on my machine that I could play a clip of them in a Keynote presentation run from my machine. But perhaps the Keynote export feature would create a 'hole' through which one could crack the DRM.
Can anyone verify that it is impossible to do this?
And what are the best workarounds? Use expose to switch to the clip loaded up in Quicktime, perhaps?

You're right, Keynote and iMovie can't play those videos for the same reason. However, here's a workaround for using Keynote with Front Row (if you have a computer that comes with a remote).

How do I erase unwanted albums from iCloud.On my iPad the same album has been added more than once yet on my mac with iCloud there are no issues.

I assume you mean photo albums. How were these albums added in the first place? Where they created on your iPad? Do they have the same name?

ITunes 11 - No Movie Extra Sync To iPad
